경포호 주변의 경관영향요인 분석과 고도기준설정 (An Analysis of Factors Influencing the Landscape of Gyeong Po Lake and the Establishment of Criteria for Height Control)

  • 강릉의 경포는 현존하는 12개의 누정(樓亭)이 있을 만큼 예로부터 빼어난 경치를 가진 곳이다. 2007년부터 자연공원법이 일부 개정되면서 경포의 경관을 유지하던 고도규제 정책에 변화가 발생하였다. 이에 본 연구는 경포 경관의 특성을 파악하고 변화와 심리적인 영향을 검토함으로써 고도규제제도의 검토와 보완에 대한 자료를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 경포호 주변에 입지한 누정에서의 가시권을 분석하여 경관관리를 위한 전략적 조망점으로 경포대와 방해정이 선정되었다. 2개의 조망점은 경포호의 주요 조망대상을 대부분 조망할 수 있는 지점이다. 27쌍의 경관형용사를 이용한 선호도 분석결과 '죽도(竹島)'로의 조망이 이루어지는 경포대 조망점에서의 경관이미지가 다소 높게 나타났다. 이는 '죽도'와 주변의 경관관리가 중요함을 보여준다. 경관심리 요인화 결과 '매력성', '쾌적성', '정연성' 등 3개의 요인이 추출되었다. 3개 심리요인이 경관선호도에 미치는 영향을 검토한 결과 '매력성', '쾌적성', '정연성' 등의 순으로 영향력을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 경포호가 파노라믹한 경관을 형성하고 있어 랜드마크를 도입하거나 개성있는 건물 경관관리가 필요함을 보여준다. 또한 자연경관과 조화를 이루는 스카이라인을 형성하여 '쾌적성'을 높이되, 일괄적 규제에 의한 관리보다 조망을 고려한 조화로운 건물군의 경관관리가 필요함을 보여준다. 건물높이에 대한 심리요인 분석결과, 조망점에 상관없이 건물의 높이가 30m 미만인 경우와 30m 이상인 경우로 선호도의 차이가 발생하였다. 이러한 결과는 경포호와 죽도, 방풍림 등으로 형성되는 자연경관의 훼손이 고도규제가 30m로 형성될 때 경관선호도에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 본 연구는 경포호의 2개 전략적 조망점을 찾아내고 심리요인을 고려한 적정 고도를 찾아냄으로써 경관관리에 필요한 자료를 제시하였다. 그러나 고정된 시점과 일률적 층수변화 등의 변수는 보완되어야 할 것이다. 추후에는 건물 층수와 함께 용도, 건물 배치 등에 대한 다양한 개발 시나리오를 예측하여 정밀한 연구가 보완되어 효율적인 경포호의 경관관리 방안이 도출되어야 할 것이다.

가로경관 분석에서의 반구투영법의 효용성 검토 (The Effectiveness of the Hemi-sphere Projection Method in the Analysis of Streetscape)

  • The Hemi-sphere projection method produces an image that includes all surrounding visual landscape from a view point. This characteristic can solve the problem of perspective method that has only a limited view angle, and thus can be a potentially effective method for the analysis of visual landscape. This study tried to adopt the hemi-sphere projection method in the evaluation of streetscape, and examined its effectiveness and possibilities. Computer animations using the perspective method and the hemi-sphere method were produced for Bang-Hak Ro, Seoul, and the kames of the animations were reclassed to identify the visibility ratio of physical elements(buildings, sky and mountains). A preference questionnaire was given to 51 university students, and the relationships between the visibility ratio and visual preference were analyzed. The results showed that visual preference of streetscape can be explained by three factors: Openness, Uniformity, and Variousness, accounting for 63.2% of the total variance, and among which Openness showed the highest proportion at 32.1%. The visibility ratio calculated by the hemi-sphere method yielded strong correlation coefficients with Openness, and it was much higher than with the perspective method. The hemi-sphere method also produced significant correlation coefficients about Uniformity and Variousness, but the perspective method could not. The results demonstrated that the hemi-sphere method can provide more accurate observation of visual changes, and that it can be an effective method for the analysis of streetscape.

컨조인트 분석에 의한 터널 내 조명시설 설치조합별 경관 선호도 분석 (Analysis of Landscape Preference by the Installation Combination of Lightning in Tunnel based on Conjoint Analysis)

  • PURPOSES : This study is to suggest suitable lighting facility installation plans by finding out driver's preference for combination of lighting facility installation among landscape factors that affect driver visibility in tunnels. METHODS : SD method is used to extract emotional factors that affect drivers' preference, Components of tunnel lighting facility installation are evaluated through conjoint analysis and it suggested relative importance of attributes and utility values. RESULTS : In the aspects of satisfaction levels of components of tunnel lighting facility installation, Tunnel side, two lows, and solid line arrangement type has the highest level of satisfaction. Extract emotional factors that affect drivers' preference are "safety", "openness" and "amenity." In addition, the result of analyzing relative importance of attributes of tunnel lighting facility shows that numbers of lighting array has the highest importance and lighting facility arrangement has the lowest importance. Result of analyzing partial utility shows that the 2 low type among number of lows, the solid line arrangement type between arrangement types, placing in the middle part among lighting facility arrangement were highly preferred. CONCLUSIONS : In the case of lighting numbers, utility values of the first line and the second line showed us a big difference. Increasing the number arrays in the future reformation of lighting facility installation combination will be effective in enhancing the utility of the driver.

  • Pro-environmental life styles, foundations of a collective civilization and preservation of our tradition at rural communities hold a great public profit value, of which importance has been strongly emphasized during last decade. Here, the environmental color is one of the most influential elements that determine the image of the rural landscape. Whenever an alternative color element is introduced to rural town, it is very important to examine its effect on the existing environmental color. Typically, a preference-surveying method has been used to evaluate the suitability of such environmental color balance. However, we note that the reliability of this method is limited by the subjectivity of a respondent. And thus, it is highly desirable to develop a more objective method. We propose a feasibility study for using an aesthetic-measure to evaluate the environmental color of a rural town. In this work, we looked into the validity of our approach by comparing its result with that of the preference-based-method as a way to determine the environmental color. Our study is based on 20 photo images from Ansung-city Yangsung-myeon Donghang 2ri Kyo-dong town in Kyongki Province.

도시근교농촌 아파트 단지의 시각적 영향 -용인시를 대상으로- (The Visual Impacts of the Apartment Complex in Suburban Rural Area -The Case of Young-In City-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect factors in suburban rural landscape and significant factors of apartment complex which are effective to the skyline of the sloped mountains. Also it is to propose the basic resources to preserve and improve the suburban rural landscape. The target site is Young-In, which shows the typical of rural development. Sides were take in young-In City along the roads and selected for 20 pieces. This study used questionnaire about the suburban rural landscape surveying of 45 students in Kyunghee Univ.. Also we found 2 dependent variables and 8 independent variables totally. Moreover, we have analyzed the data using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression method between the preference and physical factors, and between the vulnerability and perceptional factors. The results are as follows: 1) With the dependent variable of preference, the areas of "green space" and "agricultural productive lands" were highly influenced in the suburban rural landscape positively, but the areas of "apartment complex" and "other buildings" were negatively effected. 2) With the dependent variable vulnerability, the area "apartment complex" and cutting numbers of the "skyline of mountainous ridge" were proved as significantly positive factors, but the length of the "skyline of mountainous ridge" turned out to be a negative factor. Although this study has the difficulty to be generalized, it can be used for planning and designing of the apartment complex in suburban rural landscapes, and it will provide the basic guideline for preserving and managing of the suburban rural landscapes.uideline for preserving and managing of the suburban rural landscapes.

한라산 성판악 등산로 주변 경관이미지 및 선호도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Image and Visual Preference for the Seongpanak Districtat at the Mt. Hallasan)

  • 본 연구는 자연성 정도를 달리한 산악조망경관에 있어 각 공간별 형태적 특성이 지니고 있는 이미지 및 시각 선호도를 구명하여 차후 공원관리 및 설계시 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 한라산 성판악 등산로 상에서 촬영한 사진자료를 평가매체로 하여 자연도에 따른 이미지와 선호도를 조사분석 하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 선호도 평가치는 자연성 정도 및 포장의 재료특성 등의 영향으로 정상부로 향할수록 크게 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 등산로 변 이미지 평가는 아름답고 매력 있으며, 깨끗한 이미지가 주류를 이루고 있었다. 인자분석 결과 4개의 인자군은 각각 ${\ulcorner}$경관매력도인자${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$공간스케일인자${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$자연성인자${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$지형지세 인자${\lrcorner}$라고 명명 분류되었으며 전체 변량중 이들 인자군의 설명력은 57.6%이었다. 자연도와 명명 인자별 관계에서 각 공간별 인자점수의 평균치 변화 결과 자연도가 증가하면 할수록 경관매력도차원의 인자점수 값이 낮아지는 경향을 보여 미적 인 감각과 시설물의 수에 상관성이 있을 것이란 판단이 가능할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 또한 시각선호도 모형 분석 결과 경관매력도차원의 인자가 시각 선호도에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다.

대학교문의 조형적 특성과 선호도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of the Form and the Preference of the Main Gates of Universities in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to focus on the characteristics of the form and preference of the main gates of universities. The gate of a university have both functions and artistic design aspects. Fifty-two universities selected for this study were placed all around country except for Je-ju island. The following two research methods were used for this study. 1) an analysis of form character through a classification of the types. 2) and analysis of preference to the gates through a side show. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Main gates of universities were classified by covered-type and uncovered-type in existence of cover. And they were classified by eighteen types in detail. 2. Visual preference have been analyed by using the regression, the result is as follows: Y=-0.357+0.630 X$_4$+0.377X$_1$+0.075X$_2$-0.015X$_3$($R^2$=0.971, X$_4$;harmony, X $_1$;speciality, X$_2$;softness, X$_3$;complex) 3. The gate of Chung-Ang university(Ahn Sung campus) is the highest of all the universities at the average of preference 4.32 through result of slide show. Covered type has a higher preference than uncovered type. This has a good modification and decoration in front side type of main gate.

시각적 질의 계량적 측정기법에 관한 연구 : SBE 기법의 일반화 (A Study on the Quantitative Measurement of Perceived Visual Quality : Test of the SBE Method)

  • Main purpose of this study is to test the usefulness of the SBE method in measuring ‘complexity’‘beauty’and ‘friendliness’other than ‘preference’. The study results are as follows. 1) The SBE results are as reliable and valid in measuring ‘complexity’‘beauty’and ‘friendliness’as in measuring ‘preference’. However, the degree of reliability and convergent validity can vary according to the inherent charateristics of those abstract quality themselves. 2) The correlation coefficients among the result of rating, SBE, frequency, and paired comparison methods are very high. 3) The perceived beauty of urban residential landscape reaches highest at the higher complexity level than that of the rural residential landscape.

도시가로경관요소가 시각적 선호에 미치는 복합적 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Complex Effects of Streetscape Components on Visual Preference)

  • In this study the relative effects among trees, cars, wires and building facades on visual preference are measured with the photo-montage scenes, which were synthesized by computer graphic programs. In addition to these experiments, the interaction of each elements of streetscapes have been investigated. The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (1) It was found that trees had a remarkable positive effect on preference for streetscapes, wires had a moderate negative effect, cars had a trivial effect and the effects of building facades were medium. (2) It was investigated that the building of residential type was most preferred among commercial, residential, and office building types. The next preferred building facade was the commercial type. (3) The interaction of each element of streetscapes also have effects on preference. Especially, it was found that the combined effects of building-wire and building-cars were more notable than other combined effects of two elements.

정보적 접근방법에 의한 실내공간에서의 시각적 선호도: 예측변수들의 물리적 속성과 선호도와의 관계 (Visual Preference Predictors of interiors in the Informational Approach: its physical attributes and the relationships between these attributes and preference)

  • The objective of this study are to figure out the physical attributes of the three predictors in the Informational Approach: complexity, coherence, mystery and to investigate the relationships between these attributes and the preference exploratively. Visual inspection of the scenes relative to their rated levels of the predictors revealed the existence of relationship between these variables and the physical attributes. The following are the summary of the relationship between three predictors and the physical attributes: (1) The level of complexity was associated with the pattern of physical attributes which were the amount of facility, line, shape, color plant and arrangement of the visual elements. (2) The level of coherence was related with the regular arrangement of the visual elements. For example, there was certain pattern founded the color, shape, texture was applied to the various space repetitively and symmetrically. (3) The level of mystery had the relationship with the physical attributes of screen, spatial definition, distance of view, physical accessibility, radiant forest, the depth of space.
