Temperature distribution of high pressure mercury lamp has been mesured as a function of time using spectroscopic method. Sampling signal which is synchronized by lamp voltage was used to mesure temporal line intensity at each radius. To obtain radial temprature distribution, the mesured intensity was transformed into radial line intensity by Abel's formula. Absolute temperature profile was calculater from relative intensities of spectral lines as a function of line and tube radius. The temperature profile is very similar to the electrical tube current profile.

In this paper, We have designed and manufactured a photochemical reaction lamp type ozonizer system which was performed a role of preservation of oriental herbal medicine. This paper describes preliminary discussions on the characteristics of ozone concentration and discharge parameters according to number of turn-on lamp.

1879년 T. Edison이 백열전구(incandescent lamp)의 발명, 1920년대에는 형광램프(fluorescent lamp)의 개발에 이어 1990년대에는 무전극(electrodeless) 형광램프가 처음으로 실용화 되어진 비교적 새로운 광원(light source)으로 종래의 광원이 지니지 못하는 특징들이 있다. 본 보고는 그의 원리와 특징, 실용화, 제 문제점 등을 소개하고, 금후의 전망에 대하여 언급한다.

Electrodeless fluorescent lamps utilizing an inductively coupled plasma were found to have a long lifetime and high efficacy and now are used in some indoor and outdoor apllications. This paper gives a basic data of electrodeless fluorescent lamp 'Endura'(OSRAM SYLVANIA ICETRON/ENDURA 150W). The experimetal system consist of ENDURA 150W/840 Coolwhite lamp and ENDURA 150/200-240 S ballast.

In this paper, We have designed and manufactured a photochemical reaction lamp type ozonizer system which was applied to keep quality of herb medicines during storage. We used photochemical reaction lamp in a storage system, and investigated the sterilization characteristic. Also, we made research an ingredient and quality characteristic of herb medicines according to ozone storage.

This paper introduces a fluorescent lamp model based on gas discharge phenomena. This model was applied to electronic ballast. Simulation and experimental results were presented to verify the feasibility of the modeling.

The object of this paper is design and to make a high efficiency magnetic ballast for high pressure sodium lamp. The results show the efficiency is 10[%] up compared with standard ballast in best case.

We presented a modified triangular interferometer as an incoherent holography, which can eliminate bias and conjugate image problems of the conventional one. Also, to demonstrate the feasibility of incoherent holography, the formation of an incoherent hologram using a mercury lamp and its optical reconstruction were presented.
