In this study investigated the effect of emotional labor, emotional exhaustion, and depression on the job-related attitudes. Sample subjects used in this study were salespeople of a fashion shop in Jeollabukdo and Jeollanamdo. Questionnaire data from 160 fashion shop salespeople were analyzed through a reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, emotional labor of salespeople was divided into 2 factors, surface acting and deep acting. Second, emotional labor had a significant influence on the emotional exhaustion and depression. Third, the surface acting of emotional labor had a positive influence on the emotional exhaustion and depression; whereas, the deep acting of emotional labor had a negative influence on the emotional exhaustion and depression. Fourth, the surface acting of emotional labor, emotional exhaustion, and depression had a negative influence on job involvement; in addition, the deep acting of emotional labor had a positive influence on job involvement. Fifth, the surface acting of emotional labor, emotional exhaustion, and depression had a positive influence on turnover intention; in addition, the deep acting of emotional labor had a negative influence on turnover intention.
Despite the seeming glamour and popularity of commercial modeling, the industry has a darker side. Many models fail to adapt to the profession, and there are frequent cases of models quitting after a relatively short period of time. For commercial modeling agencies, this high turnover rate causes considerable disruption to their business, negatively impacting credibility and leading to decreased sales. As such, this study aimed to investigate the turnover intention of commercial models in relation to professional identity, emotional labor, and role conflict, and to propose remedies for their high turnover intention. Towards this, the relationship between commercial models' turnover intention and the factors of professional identity, emotional labor, and role conflict, and further analyzed the moderating effect of self-belief, attractiveness, and ethical environment. The analysis found that the factors having the greatest effect on commercial models' turnover intention were, in order, role conflict, emotional labor, and professional identity. When hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the moderating effect of self-belief, attractiveness, and ethical environment on the relationship between these independent variables and their effect on turnover intention, it was found that the negative impact of emotional labor on turnover intention is moderated by self-belief, and the negative impact of low professional identity on turnover intention is moderated by ethical environment. These findings underscore the importance of self-belief in commercial models, as emotional laborers, and suggest that commercial models are not born but are rather made, namely in a desirable work environment that is professional and well-organized.
This study aims to confirm whether both the emotional labour and job stress contribute to the turnover intention of infant teacher. The correlation analysis and parametric analysis were sequentially performed for our study. Analyzed results showed that the emotional labour was related to the job stress and turnover. Also, a statistical significance between the job stress and turnover intention was observed. Besides, the job stress partially mediated the relation between the emotional labour and turnover intention. Nsidering that the emotional labor of teacher caring or lived with infants occurred inevitably, our study proposed three approaches to reduce the job stress that partially mediated relation between the emotional labour and turnover intention. Generally, the infant teacher with excellent qualification produced the good education. Therefore, we suggested that the it was necessary that a work environment had been improved and working motivation was ameliorated to employ the infant teacher with excellent qualification.
This study analyzes how deep acting and surface acting, both classified as emotional labor, influence emotional exhaustion and turnover-intention for 263 KTX attendants. The followings are the summarized results of our analysis. First, the deep acting of KTX attendants does not affect emotional exhaustion, but surface acting was found to have a positive influence on emotional exhaustion. Second, the deep acting of KTX attendants had a positive impact on turnover-intention, but surface acting did not affect turnover-intention. Last, the emotional exhaustion of KTX attendants had a positive impact on turnover-intention. In conclusion, these results imply that it is important for employers to manage their employees' emotion in order to prevent turnover among KTX attendants.

The purpose of this paper is to attempt to investigate how emotional labor strategies (i.e. surface acting and deep acting) affect job performance and turnover intention thorough emotional exhaustion. Another important objective of this study was to see whether perceived organizational support (POS) moderates the relationship between emotional labor strategies and emotional exhaustion. Structural equation modeling analysis provided support for the hypotheses from a sample of 225 China department store sales employees. The results revealed that surface acting has a positive influence on emotional exhaustion, whereas deep acting has not significant influence on emotional exhaustion. Second, emotional exhaustion has a negative influence on job performance, whereas it has a positive influence on turnover intention. In addition, the relationship between surface acting and job performance/turnover intention was significantly mediated by emotional exhaustion. Furthermore, perceived organizational supporting mitigated the negative relationship between deep acting and emotional exhaustion. The findings of this study contributed to the literature by identifying the relationship between surface and deep acting on employee outcomes (i.e. emotional exhaustion, job performance, turnover intention), especially in China. In addition, this study also confirmed the important buffering role of POS based on the norm of reciprocity between an organization and its members.

The questionnaires are distributed 400 on hotel employees, then used for data analysis 351. The results are as followed. First, the higher surface acting, deep acting, and emotional deviance in the emotional labor, the higher emotional dissonance. But the higher expression of natural emotions, it was showed lowly in the emotional dissonance. Second, the higher emotional dissonance, it was revealed highly burnout and turnover intention.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the possibility of job-related risk, emotional labor, and emotional leadership on the job turnover intention of caregivers working at the long-term care facilities in Korea. For the study, survey data of 434 caregivers at senior nursing homes were collected and analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression method. The results showed that high level of caregivers'perception of both the possibility of management risk and employee risk led to increased turnover intention. On the other hand, perception of the possibility of social-disaster risk did not give significant impact on turnover intention. Although the perception of the possibility of service user risk gave statistically significant effect on the turnover intention, the direction was the opposite to the one set at the research hypothesis. Frequent camouflage behavior("surface acting") of caregivers, which is the kind of emotional labor led to increased turnover intention. However, caregivers'behavior consistent with their inner warm heart("deep acting") did not lead to a statistically significant result. Lastly, the more caregivers perceive their superiors'emotionally supportive leadership, the lower possibility of turnover intention. Based on the above result, the researchers suggested several intervention methods in order to prevent turnover of caregivers and improve service quality of long-term care institutions.
The purpose of this study is to understand the relation among experience of verbal abuse, emotional labor, emotional intelligence, social support and turnover intention of hospital nurses. The survey was conducted with 189 hospital nurses working at general hospital in the city of S. The data was collected by using structured questionnaires as research tools from November 17, 2015 to November 27, 2015. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS ver. 18.0 program. As a result of the correlation analysis between the nurse 's experience of verbal abuse, emotional labor, emotional intelligence, social support and turnover intention, the turnover intention of the nurse was a significantly positive correlation between the experiences of verbal abuse from the doctor, nurses, patients, and the caregiver and the emotional labor. Also, There is a significantly negative correlation between emotional intelligence and social support. In order to identify the factors influencing the turnover intention of the subjects, multiple regression analysis was performed. The statistically significant variables were emotional labor & the ER in the working department.
