  • This study was an attempt to survey, the relationships between women's values and preference in clothing design. For the measurement of values scale was to relect the theoretical, economic aesthetic, social. political and religious values explained by Allport-vernon- Lindzey. The preference rate in clothing design consisted of 50 items and 3 factors including color, form and texture. The questionnaire were administered to a sample of women (between college students and adult) who lined in Seoul, Korea. The date for 910 respondents were analyzed by person's carrelation coefficient, to-test and $x^2$ test. Through this study, the followings were founds; 1. Aesthetic value was the mast important of female college students values and economic value was the most important of adult's values. 2. There were significant relation between values and the preference for clothing form in line and style; 1) In line preference, adult women indicated negative correlation with religious values but positive correlation with aesthetic and political values. 2) In style preference, adult women indicated negative correlation with economic values positive correlation with social values, for female college students indicated positive correlation with aesthetic social and political values. 3. There were significant relation between values and preference for texture in touch, thickness, weight, light and luster; 1) In relationship between texture and values, adult women indicated touchness preference negative correlation with theoretical and religious values, for female college students indicated positive correlation with aesthetic and social values. 2) In thickness preference adult women indicated negative correlation with theoretical values but female college students indicated positive correlation with political values. 3) In weight preference, adult women indicated negative correlation with theoretical values. But female college students indicated positive correlation with religious values. 4) In brightness preference, only adult women indicated positive correlation with social values, negative correlation with economic values. In transparency preference, adult women indicated positive correlation with aesthetic values, negative correlation with religious values. 4. There were significant correlation among color and economic, aesthetic; political and religious values, that is, evacuation and economic political values in adult women there were positive correlation with religious values in female students. 1) In chroma only adult women indicated negative correlation with religious values. In warm and cold, positive correlation with economic values in both of them. 2) In coloration, adult women like a complement color indicated negative correlation with aesthetic values, but positive correlation with political values. 5. There were significant differences in the preference of clothing design between female college students and adult women; correlationship with color variables. Evacuation, both of them indicated negative correlation with chroma positive correlation with warm and cold and coloration. In chroma, adult women indicated negative correlation with coloration and warm and cold, for female students indicated negative correlation with coloration. 6. Comparison with clothing preference: 1) In color preference, adult women liked the most white, brown, blue and black in sequence. Female college students liked the most white, also the next is blue and pink. 2) Clothing design preference, there was significant difference in warm and cold and coloration, adult women more liked than female students. In shape of clothing, both of them indicated significant difference in line and style, female students more liked sporty style. • This study was intended to examine the zinc status of free-living adult women living in the Taegu region. Zine intake of 102 female subjects was measured by food frequency method for 3 consecutive days. Urinary zine was assessed from urine samples collected fir twenty four hours. Average dietary zinc intake of adult female subjects using food record was 5.9$\pm$1.8mg which was 49$\%$of Korean RDA. When zine intake by frequency method was higher than by food record. Average urinary zine intake by frequency method was higher than that by food record. Thus, it appeared that zinc intake by frequency method was higher than that by food record. Average urinary zinc excretion of 102 adult female subjects was 0.28$\pm$0.16mg, which belonged to marginal zinc deficiency range. Fifty nine of 102 subjects showed marginal zinc deficiency as assessed by urinary zinc excretion. If we compare the zinc status of adult female subjects by age group, zinc intake in the 50s was significantly higher than any other age groups. However, there were no significant differences in zinc status according to BMI groups and BMI groups. Significant correlations were found between zinc intake and energy, protein, carbohydrate and fat intake. Based on dietary zinc intake and urinary zinc, we concluded that zinc status of adult female living in the Taegu region is marginally deficient.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the different patterns of the lower limb between elderly and adult females to reduce the rate of falls. Ten old females(age: $73.1{\pm}2.69yrs$, height: $151.9{\pm}4.82cm$, mass: $57.36{\pm}5.36$) and ten adult females(age: $28\pm}4.76$ yrs, height: $160.6{\pm}6.83cm$, mass: $53.9{\pm}8.44$) were participated in this experiment. The gait motions were captured with Qualisys system and variables were calculated with Visual-3D. The following results were found. The elderly female group showed bigger inclination angle between COM and COP than the adult female group so that the dynamic stability was reduced in walking for the compensation with a bigger stride width. The elderly female group ensure for the necessary forward movement of COM in order to replace the decreased function of ankle and knee joint. If the distance between COM and COP is closer and the energy reduction of a specific joint is reduced, they could prevent the elderly female's falling rate by strengthening of muscles which were related the extension of ankle joint.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate differences of Ca, Mg and Zn utilization in young and adult rats fed standard diet for 3 weeks. Feed intake and body weight gain in young rats were significantly higher than in adult. There were no significant differences in serum levels of Ca and Zn across age and sex. In liver of young or male groups, Ca and Zn contents were significantly higher than in adult or female. There were no significant differences in tibia contents of Ca and Mg, but Zn content was increased when young or female groups was compared with the other groups. In mineral balances, daily intakes and retentions of Ca, Mg and Zn in young or male groups were significantly higher than those in adult or female. According to this results, it could be suggested that in growth period must be increased dietary intake of Ca, Mg and Zn to compromise the requirement for growth.
