A knowledge map, a taxonomy of knowledge repositories, must have capabilities supporting and enhancing knowledge user's activity to search and select proper knowledge for problem-solving. Conventional knowledge maps, however, have been hierarchically categorized, and could not support such activity that must coincide with the user's cognitive process for knowledge utilization. This paper, therefore, aims to verify and develop a methodology to build a networked knowledge map that can support user's activity to search and retrieve proper knowledge based on the referential navigation between content-relevant knowledge. This paper deploys keywords as the semantic information between knowledge, because they can represent the overall contents of a given document, and because they can play the role of semantic information on the link between related documents. By aggregating links between documents, a document network can be formulated: a keyword-based networked knowledge map can be finally built. Domain expert-based validation test was also conducted on a networked knowledge map of 50 research papers, which confirmed the performance of the proposed methodology to be outstanding with respect to the precision and recall.

This article examines the utilization of e-resources Modibbo Adama University of Technology, (MAUTech) Yola under the auspices of the central library, the Ibrahim Babangida Library. Academics and students are primary users of information resources of any library, hence, their responses towards the utilization of e-resources in the institution have been critically considered in this study. A Mixed method research Design was adopted for the study. A case study approach was employed. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Diffusion of Innovation (DoI) theories were used to develop the conceptual framework of this paper. Questionnaires were used as data gathering tools. Academics and students acted as participants. Major findings are lack of sufficient Internet access for academics and students and lack of training and awareness campaigns. Conclusion has shown that e-resources did not impact research and teaching of academics in MAUTech, Yola.

Knowledge about FHW's activities] among housewives in the Kang Wha Community Health Project area This study was analysed by using path analysis Exogenous variables were 1. Distance between the housewives' houses and that of their local FHW 2. Duration of work of each FHW as FHW in her village 3. Number of preschool children in the households Endogenous variables were 1. Home visiting frequency to each household by FHW 2. Knowledge about FHW's activities 3. Attitude towards FHWs 4. Utilization of FHW] by the housewives The results were as follows: The shorter the distance between client's and FHW's house, the higher the number of preschool children in the household, and the longer the duration of work of FHW as FHW, the higher is the number of her household visits in a given time span. The more frequently the FHW visits a household and the higher the knowledge about FHW's activities in the household, the more positive is the attitude of the housewives to the FHW and the more frequently she visits and utilizes the FHW on her own initiative.

Organization's innovation capability is strongly tied to its intellectual capital or knowledge utilization. Employees play a key role in generation of intellectual capital and utilization of knowledge in a firm. Thus, the importance of human resource management (HRM) system for enhancing competency of employees and facilitating knowledge sharing between employees is getting its significance. In this paper, we highlighted the effect of HRM implementation to explain the reason of performance differences among firms, adopting the same ideal HRM system. The successful implementation of HRM system as well as the contents of HRM system was critical to enhance firm performance through HRM system. To investigate the effect of HRM implementation on firm performance, we proposed the three components of HRM implementation (i.e.; TMT philosophy, HR department capability and communication) in perspective of sense making and sense giving theory. Then, we analyzed the moderating effect of HRM implementation on the high commitment HRM - firm performance relationship. Empirical results showed that each component of HRM implementation positively strengthened the relationship between high commitment HRM and firm performance. In addition, the composite index of HRM implementation calculated by average value of three components revealed more significant moderating effect between the two. Furthermore, We discussed the academical and practical implications, and suggested future research directions.

In order to support biomimicry technology development, it is necessary to develop an omnidirectional service platform which can recommend principles of biomimicry and business ideas, providing experts' networks and carrying out their relevant education and promotion on the ground of baseline data and application research materials related to biomimicry. This study was conducted to establish any probable plans for construction and utilization of the future open-platform which will collect and serve the technology of biomimicry. Accordingly, biological and ecological information databases were examined along with the appreciation of construction and management of major biomimicry DB, and, based on the materials from the interview of related experts, a customer journey map was schematized. Lastly, in order to suggest a mid-to-long-term target-model, the roles of a future biomimicry knowledge service-platform were determined along with the potential plans for its construction and management based on case analysis and customers' needs.

Conventional financial accounting system has overseen the significant roles of the non-financial facets of the activities of the company, especially whose value creating abilities are based on knowledge assets. In the knowledge-based economy, telecommunication service companies must recognize the changes from the tangible assets to the knowledge assets as value creating resources, understand the dynamic processes in which the knowledge is converted to financial profits and seek the method to measure and report knowledge assets to sustain the competitive advantage continuously. This study proposes the indicators and measures of knowledge assets of Korea Telecom. Through the analysis and application of tile knowledge assets report of the Korea Telecom, this study shows the usefulness of the knowledge assets report.

Recent trend of business is characterized by a recognition of importance of knowledge asset. Especially, this phenomenon is receiving more momentum as our society goes digital rapidly. However, most of literature on knowledge management is based on knowledge circulation from the corporate point of view, not from individual viewpoint. In this regard, this paper is concerned with proposing knowledge circulation process and its efficiency from the individual perspective. We adopted structural equation model or SEM to prove the statistical validity of our research framework. Eight hypotheses were built and tested empirically, leading to the fact that the knowledge utilization and sharing of individuals have a positive impact on the knowledge management efficiency.

Many prior researchers have repeatedly emphasized the importance of utilizing external knowledge as a critical factor for the success of organizational innovation. But they seem to have ignored the importance of the practical methods to advance the ability of finding new way of applying external knowledge to innovation activities. This paper suggests the exploitation of firm's knowledge base in innovative way as a practical method to utilize external knowledge for organizational innovation, because it could be possible to find out a common factor in external knowledge with organizational knowledge base by exploiting it. According to the empirical test with data of 1,143 manufacturing firms, all of the hypothesis were strongly supported.

This study was carried out to obtain the information concerning the perception and utilization patter of the housewives about the edible oil and fats. Data were obtained through questionnaires from 442 housewives in Chonbuk area. The eating frequency of food that used oil & fat was affected by age, residing area and educational level. family's preference score of food that used oil & fats was 3.34 point in the 5 point scale. 47% of the subjects answered that the intake rate of oil & fats had more from vegetable oils than animal sauces. Most of the subjects had negative response such as increased cholesterol and body weight for psychological state after the intake of food that used oil & fats. The main reason why some housewives did not use frequently oil & fats was inconvenience of tidying up. The kinds of the oil & fat used frequently were soybean oil, sesame oil, com oil and perilla oil. The nutrition knowledge score rotated to oil & fat was 7.62 point in the 10 point scale. The eating frequency of food that used oil & fats and its preference were positively correlated. These results indicate that the housewives haute a widespread tendency to pursue a health and convenience in the utilization of edible oil & fats.

This study was conducted to investigate the awareness and utilization of the Internet resources and services for academic activities by the academic staff of tertiary institutions in Adamawa State. The researchers adopted a quantitative research method using cross-sectional survey design to collect data from the respondents. Multi-stage sampling techniques were used. Three hundred and thirty-three (333) copies of the questionnaire were administered to the respondents in the eight (8) sampled institutions and two hundred and ninety-two (292) respondents representing (87.6%) were returned and found useful. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics by the use of SPSS version 20.0. The findings revealed that respondents were aware of all the Internet resources, (e-books, e-journals, and online databases), but regarding the Internet services, they were mostly aware of only the e-mail. The study further found that online database and e-mail as the most Internet resources and services utilized by the respondents. There are inverse and weak relationship between awareness and utilization of the Internet resources and services by the academic staff of tertiary institutions in Adamawa State. The study recommends increase awareness and use to other Internet resources such as the e-books and e-journal and Internet services, especially Usenet, Discussion group and Telnet by the management of the institutions through training, workshops/conferences for better academic activities.
