These days, the environment of hospital marketing is changing rapidly. The level of expectation and demand of patients have become greater and more diversified, and patients have more alternatives in selecting hospitals. The standard of hospital selection and the type of using hospital have been changed, and competition among hospitals has been accelerated due to the opening of the medical market through globalization. Accordingly, differentiation strategies are critical in hospital marketing. The quality of medical service oriented toward patient satisfaction becomes a strong strategic weapon to secure a hospital's competitive advantage. Therefore, marketing and communication strategies should be focused on patient-oriented, rather than hospital-oriented. Considering the changes in the hospital environment and the increase in the patients' expectation level, this study categorizes doctors' communication styles into four different ones: trust-type, professional-type, cooperation-type, and control-type. The effects of these communication styles on patient satisfaction were empirically examined. The moderating roles of the patient's characteristics and clinical characteristics between the doctors' communication styles and patient satisfaction were also investigated to find out managerial implications for hospital management. To achieve such goals, data were collected from patients of 12 general hospitals in Busan. The data were analyzed to test research hypotheses that examine 1) the relationships between doctors' communication styles and patient satisfaction, 2) the moderating roles of the patient characteristics and clinical characteristics in the research model, and 3) the impact of patient satisfaction on positive word-of-mouth and repurchase. The following summarizes the major results of this research. First, the data showed that patient satisfaction varied across doctors' communication styles. Trust-type style had the strongest impact on patient satisfaction while control-type style had the weakest influence on patient satisfaction. Professional-type style and cooperation-type style also had positive effects on patient satisfaction but the impact of the two are not statistically different. Second, significant differences in terms of patient satisfaction were found depending upon demographic variables such as gender, marital status, age, occupation, and education. Patient satisfaction, however, was consistent across varying income groups. Third, patients' medical insurance types were also related to patient satisfaction. It implies that a doctor may need to use different communication styles depending on a patient's medical insurance type. Fourth, out-patient and in-patient showed a different level of satisfaction with varying communication styles. Fifth, highly professional knowledge and strong control can influence patient satisfaction depending on the characteristics of the patient treatment field. Sixth, patient satisfaction were proved to have significantly positive effects on word-of-mouth and repurchase. The implications drawn from this study must be tempered by its limitations. First of all, the subjects used in this study were patients in Busan and small- and medium-size hospitals were excluded from the research. Therefore, future research should examine the research model by using a variety of hospitals and clinics throughout Korea. Another research agenda has to do with finding more determinant and moderating variables which will increase an explanatory power of the model. In short, this study may be the first empirical research that investigates the effects of doctors' communication styles on patient satisfaction. Interestingly enough, the results showed that each communication style had a unique impact on patient satisfaction. The findings from this research can be very useful in developing hospital marketing strategies.
This study was conducted to examine health behaviors in hypertensive patients and the factors that would affect these healthy life-styles. and to provide basic data for effective and continuous hypertension control in private medical facilities. Among those patients diagnosed as hypertension who had visited the Department of Internal Medicine of Yeungnam University Hospital during the two month period from August 2 to September 30, 1999, the present study included 222 patients who were in more than one month after the initial diagnosis of hypertension and those who had hypertension for less than 10 years. Using a structured questionnaire, the present study was conducted by a self-administered survey method, and the obtained data were analyzed with t-test, $x^2$-test and one-way analysis of variance using the SPSS statistical program. The scores on knowledge related to hypertension were higher as the education level of a patient was higher(p〈0.05). As for occupation, those who performed office or management jobs showed higher scores than those who were into manufacturing jobs, and as for economic status, although those patients who were in middle class showed highest scores, however, no statistical significance was observed. The scores of knowledge on hypertension was higher when the family history of hypertension was present(p〈0.05). The scores of health-related behaviors were higher with higher education level and higher economic status, higher in those with family history of hypertension, and higher in those with office or management jobs than those who had manufacturing jobs(p〈0.05). Blood pressure measurement on regular basis was performed most frequently in those who were between 50-59 years old with 83.3% and was least frequent in those who were older than 70 years old with 50%(p〈0.05). The frequency of regular blood pressure measurement was higher with higher education level, higher economic status, higher in those with family history of hypertension, and the highest in those with management position with 93.5%, however, on statistical significance was observed. Changes in health-related behaviors after hypertension diagnosis were higher with higher education level, higher economic status, and in those patients performed office or management work. In particular, diet change was observed in female and higher economic status and smoking cessation was observed in 60-69 years old. Housewives and office workers or managers have taken exercise more regularly and those who had management jobs and had high scores on knowledge related to hypertension would participate health education program more actively. Thus, for improving health-related behaviors for continuous management of hypertension, changes in health-related behaviors can be followed through conduction health education to improve understanding of knowledge related to hypertension as the method of helping to improve changes in health life-styles in those with little education and those in low economic status.
It is believed that each learner has a preferred method to acquire and manage knowledge according to her/his learning style which influences learning achievement directly. The purpose of this paper is to statistically analyze relationships among individual learning styles, tutoring functions, and learning achievement in an e-learning environment. 524 survey results from participants of enterprise e-learning classes are classified into total group and superior group. T-Test and ANOVA analyses are carried between learning style and learning achievement and between learning style and preferred tutoring functions. The analysis results show that individual learning styles do not contribute to learning achievement while they are strongly related to preferences for some of tutoring functions. These results can be used to identify limitation of current e-learning practice and design better e-learning systems, especially, supporting appropriate tutoring functions for different types of learners.
Although prior studies suggest that transformational leadership and servant leadership fuel followers' creativity, there is a few study on leadership style and followers' personality interaction. Based on regulatory focus theory, this study believe that interaction impacts of leadership styles and followers' regulatory focus differed in promotion focus and prevention focus employees' creativity. To strengthen causal process and rule out alternative results, this study conducted an experimental study using field employees. Participant were randomly assigned to four conditions (transformational leadership ${\times}$ promotion focus), (transformational leadership ${\times}$ prevention focus), (servant leadership ${\times}$ promotion focus), (servant leadership ${\times}$ prevention focus). The major results of this study suggest that (1) transformational leadership was positively related to promotion focus followers' intrinsic motivation and creativity, and was negatively related to prevention focus followers' intrinsic motivation and creativity. (2) Servant leadership, on the other hand, was positively related to promotion focus and prevention focus followers' motivation and creativity. (3) Intrinsic motivation mediated the relationship between interaction effects of leadership style and follower's regulatory focus style and individual creativity. The results of this study demonstrated a remarkable differential impact based on a simple manipulation inducing feeling or thinking of a responsive situation. This research, measuring interaction impact of leadership and followers' regulatory focus in an experimental context, expands the leadership style and regulatory focus literature and provides future directions on leadership role in personality-related research domains.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new paradigm that is revolutionizing computing. It is intended that all objects around us will be connected to the network, providing "anytime, anywhere" access to information. This study introduces IoT with Kolb's learning style in order to enhance the learning experience especially for inclusive education for primary and secondary schools where delivery of knowledge is not limited to physical, cognitive disabilities, human diversity with respect to ability, language, culture, gender, age and of other forms of human differences. The article also emphasizes the role of learning style as a discovery process that incorporates the characteristics of problem solving and learning. Kolb's Learning Style was chosen as it is widely used in research and in practical information systems applications. A consistent pattern of finding emerges by using a combination of Kolb's learning style and internet of things where specific individual differences, learning approach differences and IoT application differences are taken as a main research framework. Further several suggestions were made by using this combination to IoT architecture and smart environment of internet of things. Based on these suggestions, future research directions are proposed.
Purpose: This study aims to fill the existing gap in the existing literature by investigating the mediating effect of psychological empowerment between leadership and motivation for workers at retail stores, and to extend the previous research to determine the preferences of the researchers and practitioners in leadership and employee motivation in retail through a systematic approach. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a systematic approach to the mediation effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship between leadership and employee motivation in retail stores. To ensure completeness, systematization, and transparency, the preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach was applied. Results: The research findings (Total Four Mediating Roles) suggest that psychological empowerment may mediate between leadership and employee motivation. These mediation roles (Empowering Leadership Styles, Organizational Culture and Psychological Empowerment, Customer Psychological Empowerment, and High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and Psychological Empowerment) will help practitioners comprehend how these empowerment and motivation leadership styles are interconnected in the retail industry. Conclusions: The research results indicate that psychological empowerment is essential for employee motivation in the retail sector. Through this knowledge, retail store managers can implement strategies designed to empower employees and create a motivated workforce, bolstering organizational effectiveness.

Our report refers to occidental vocal techniques from Greece until today. It is remarkable that even with poor anatomy knowledge, there were advices on styles given from very early periods, for both church and secular singing. During the 18th century, the names of "vox pectoris", "vox guturris" and "vox capitis" appear, nominations that somehow remain nowadays with great confusion about source of sound production and results of resonance. Vocal occidental styles developed different kinds of requirements from the singers, that had to adapt their vocal Possibilities to them. The same happened with "pop" song. Nowadays, all kinds of singers must have a conscious knowledge of its voice management to prevent vocal disturbances. We consider that the technique is the same, even when the singer has to sing Wagner, Debussy, Sconberg, Piazzola or Gershwin. The big changes occured at resonance levels, and because these different use of the vocal resonators the effects are quite different. In summary, the big differences on classical the effects are quite different. In summary, the big differences on classical and pop song are done on the different use of the resonators and its effects on the vocal tract. "Pop" singers, men and women, should be taught to use both registers, "modal" and "falsetto" to be able to reach the complete range of their songs without any harm to their larynxes. In our opinion, a good singing technique means that it could be adapted to every stylistic need. The same technique is adapted to the popular singer as well. The main difference lays on the use of resonators, pretty strong in the classic singer, weaken in the popular singer, on the volume and on the total extension of the voice. Breathing control, effortless emission and the use of "passage" at the right point should be taught to all singers, regardless of their style. (omitted)
Distance Education is a non-traditional mode of training and can take many forms, one of which is the use of Computer Based Training (CBT). This paper reviews various quality assurance models for designing the delivery of programmes at the universities and other training institutions. It presents the findings of a CBT research that is currently being carried out at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of the West Indies, Trinidad. The significance of the research is discussed with particular emphasis on the influence of curricula sequencing on knowledge acquisition in learners of varying cognitive styles. The paper concludes that adherence to quality assurance principles could result in the enhanced performance of users of the CBT.
Quiet often, an organization tries to grapple with inconsistent and partial information to generate relevant information to support decision making and action. As such, an organization scans the environment interprets scanned data, executes actions, and learns from feedback of actions, which boils down to computational interpretations and learning in terms of machine learning, statistics, and database. The ExOM proposed in this paper is geared to facilitate such knowledge discovery found in large databases in a most flexible manner. It supports a broad range of learning and classification styles and integrates them with traditional database functions. The learning and classification components of the ExOM are tightly integrated so that learning and classification of objects is less burdensome to ordinary users. A brief sketch of a strategy as to the expressiveness of terminological language is followed by a description of prototype implementation of the learning and classification components of the ExOM.
Purpose: In this study, we comparatively investigated the nutrition knowledge, dietary attitude, and dietary behavior related to salt according to the types of dietary life style for differences between the groups. Methods: The survey was conducted between May 1 to July 31, 2014 among 500 adults aged >19 years in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do areas. Results: Factor analysis of the dietary life style, indicated 4 factors including food convenience factor, food information emphasis factor, behavior factor of pursing food taste, and food purchase standard factor, which were classified into 3 groups according to differentiated dietary life style types; group 1 emphasized convenience and diversity of food, and price sensitiveness. and included subjects who had low interest in health and nutrition and were less likely to take care of their health through regular exercise,; group 2 emphasized food ingredients, food additives, usage and food purchase standards. and included subjects who were more likely to take care of their health through exercise and showed lower intake of fast food and less cases of eating out.; and group 3 showed relatively higher tendency toward dietary life style factors than the other two groups. The level of nutrition knowledge in sodium intake differed according to dietary life styles, and showed a significant difference in the dietary practice of sodium intake. Conclusion: Nutrition education on the healthy dietary habit of reducing sodium intake be based on ge and gender. In addition, an effort is required to improve behavior, interest, and attitude according to the important tendencies of the dietary life style.
