In line with the modern society where artificial intelligence has spread throughout society, the Ministry of Education decided to provide AI education in kindergartens, elementary, middle and high school classes in 2025, and develop related learning materials and textbooks from 2021. Korea currently does not have state-led AI education for kindergarten and elementary school, so there is no systematic teaching material. Therefore, this study designed and presented textbooks for pattern analysis-based computational thinking development based on the GPS curriculum, a kindergarten SW curriculum studied by Y. S. Jeong and S. E. Lim (2020). Class procedures for using the textbooks were classified as introduction activities, development activities, and organization activities. Supplementary explanations were presented by presenting textbooks and teaching aids along with explanations of each activity. In order for this study to help AI education conducted in 2025, research must be conducted to demonstrate its effectiveness through actual application in the future.

Here is the amendment against present manuals and textbooks. The objective for teaching the kindergarten is involved in the manuals properly. But, It is required to revise 'the oceanic artificial environment and facilities', and 'marine pollution' in contents of the manual. Some contents don't mention about an ocean, so it is necessary to add photos and maps covered with marine parts. Plus, there are no mentions about the value and attitude for an educational goal in the elementary textbooks. And it is required to add the solutions to conserve the sea and ethics about oceanic preservation. Also, it is needed to utilize cartoons and maps which give students interest.

Purpose: To determine factors of kindergarten teachers' willingness to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and to suggest education methods toward CPR. Methods: We interviewed 92 kindergarten teachers trained to administer CPR. Among them, 74 answered the questions regarding CPR experience, barriers, and willingness. Logistic regression was used to calculate odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the association of willingness factors to cognition, performance, and attitude toward CPR. Results: Of the participants, 73 (98.7%) were female, 32 (43.0%) were in their twenties (mean age: 33.9 years), 31 (41.9%) graduated college, 47 (63.5%) had < 10 years of tenure, and 65 (87.8%) and 62 (83.8%) indicated willingness to perform CPR to family members and kindergarteners, respectively. Barrier factors included fear of performing CPR incorrectly (46.8%) and injuring the victim (25.6%). Willingness factors included understanding brain death (37.7%) and performing CPR correctly (26.1%). Willingness predictors included attitude toward family members (OR: 4.54, 95% CI: 1.19 -17.39, p = .027) and kindergarteners (OR: 3.07, 95% CI: 1.15-8.22, p = .025), and cognition to kindergarteners (OR: 0.36, 95% CI: 0.13-0.99, p = .050). Conclusion: The kindergarten teachers were more willing to perform CPR to family members and kindergarteners than to others in an attitude-dependent manner.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of incremental dental care(IDC) program on kindergarten children. Methods : The subjects were 46 kindergarten children aged 6 who wished participation in IDC program during 5 weeks at oral health center in G-college from March to May, 2012. The data of subjects were examined into oral conditions such as toothbrushing method and frequency, modified O'leary plaque index and dental caries activity before and after IDC program. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS statistical package version 19.0. Results : 1. The rolling and fones methods of toothbrushing increased from 10.8% to 91.3% after IDC program(p<.001). The change of toothbrushing frequency showed that over 3 times a day increased from 52.2% to 76.0% after IDC program(p<.01). 2. The modified O'leary plaque index of before toothbrushing education increased from 1st visit(score 32.19) to 5th visit(score 57.14) and after toothbrushing education increased from 1st visit(score 64.45) to 5th visit(score 78.27) during IDC program(p<.001). 3. As a results of dental caries activity test before and after IDC program, it was found that the bacterial numbers in S.mutans and Latobacillus reduced from 0.74, 0.70 to 0.28, 0.41 (p<.01) and the saliva buffering capacity increased from 1.50 to 2.02(p<.001). Conclusions : It is considered very necessary that IDC program should be maintained and extended to dental clinic so as to enhance the oral health state of kindergarten children.

This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the forest experience center for children led by the local community as experiential management for forest kindergarten education. For this, an importance and performance analysis was conducted on the forest experience center for children in Geumcheon-gu, which, of the 12 forest experience center for kids in Seoul, is the only one led by the local community. The questionnaire sheet for the analysis consisted of a total of 36 questions, 20 about place facility areas and 16 about management program areas(including 6 questions about the management led by the local community). The questionnaire survey was done during the period between January 12th and January 19th, 2015. The participants in the survey consisted of 15 forest education specialists and 50 teachers from 19 kindergartens who participated in the forest experience program. The number of questionnaire sheets collected and used for analysis was 13 copies and 43 copies, respectively. The mean values of importance and performance on the place facility areas were 4.07 and 3.78 for forest education specialists, and 4.16 and 3.84 for kindergarten teachers, respectively. The mean values of importance and performance regarding the management program area were 4.38 and 4.16 for forest education specialists, and 4.40 and 4.00 for kindergarten teachers, respectively. Both groups evaluated the place facility areas lower than the management program areas. They also evaluated performance lower than importance. In place facility area, 'accessibility', 'safety' and 'connectivity to forest trail', 'loose parts' and 'safety facilities' were required to 'keep up the good work', because they showed higher importance and performance in place facility areas. Even though most items of management as led by the local community including 'forest experience activity support' were evaluated as 'important', some, including 'effort for local revitalization', were evaluated as low in performance. However, as they were evaluated as higher in importance, if they pursue 'concentrate here', it is expected that they will be evaluated as higher in performance. In addition, considering that program areas including 'forest education specialist's role' are labeled under the management led by the local community, it reflected a positive evaluation. As a result, management led by the local community is efficient as a management system for the forest experience center for children in an experiential forest kindergarten education. Going forward, if this management system is durable in 'keep up the good work' and 'concentrate here', the forest experience center for children led by the local community will be an alternative for an effective experiential forest kindergarten education.
Purpose: This study aimed to provide basic data for future infectious disease prevention educational programs targeting preschoolers by verifying the effects of the 2023 Home-visiting Infectious Disease Prevention Class Project for Preschoolers. Methods: The study is a descriptive survey that analyzed educational satisfaction of kindergarten teachers and the activity reports of visiting teachers. The effectiveness of the education on the children's side was evaluated with a quasi-experimental approach using pre- and post-test design. Data collection was conducted from September 6 to November 10, 2023. The data from 96 kindergarten teachers, 100 activity reports written by visiting teachers, 56 children in the experimental group, and 50 children in the control group were analyzed. Results: As a result of analyzing the satisfaction survey results of the kindergarten teachers and the activity reports submitted by the visiting teachers, all questions received a very positive evaluation with 4 or more out of 5 points. In addition, the children in the experimental group showed statistically significant positive changes both in hand-washing accuracy and their awareness of immunity. Conclusion: The Home-visiting Infectious Disease Prevention Class Project for Preschoolers is of great educational significance and is expected to be a useful educational intervention that can improve infection prevention behaviors and show practical preventive effects in preschoolers so that they can be prepared for various infectious diseases in the future.
