  • InfiniBand technology is being accepted as the future system interconnect to serve as the high-end enterprise fabric for cluster computing. This paper presents the design and implementation of the InfiniBand system interconnect, focusing on an InfiniBand host channel adapter (HCA) based on dual ARM9 processor cores The HCA is an SoC tailed KinCA which connects a host node onto the InfiniBand network both in hardware and in software. Since the ARM9 processor core does not provide necessary features for multiprocessor configuration, novel inter-processor communication and interrupt mechanisms between the two processors were designed and embedded within the KinCA chip. Kinch was fabricated as a 564-pin enhanced BGA (Bail Grid Array) device using 0.18${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS technology Mounted on host nodes, it provides 10 Gbps outbound and inbound channels for transmit and receive, respectively, resulting in a high-performance cluster system.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate interpersonal support, tension in lifechanges & satisfaction. The selected sample is composed of 387 housewives in ChongJoo city. SAS pc program was used for the statistical analysis of the data. Data was analyzed by frequency, F-test, percentage, mean, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Regression Analysis. Major findings as follows: 1)At wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents & parents-in law side were variables to have influence on tension in life changes. And the number of social organization participated were a variable to have influence on the satisfaction. The age of couple, education of couple, duration of marriage, income, family lifecycle, the number of children, pattern of family were variables to influence tension in life changes, but were not variables to influence on the satisfaction. 2) At usual or wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents side were variables to influence on instrumental & companionship support. And the number of friends was a variable to influence on companionship & informational support. The number of neighbors was a variable to influence on instrumental, companionship & informational support. The number of social organization participated was a variable to influence on companionship & emotional support. The age of couple, education of couple, income, duration of marriage, family life cycle, number of children, family size, family type were variables to influence on interpersonal support. 3)The relationship between tension and satisfaction in life changes was negative, and between instrumental support and satisfaction was negative also. But between companionship support and satisfaction was positive relationship and between tension of personal &social life and instrumental support was positive relationship. The relationship between tension of marriage life and companionship support was negative and between tension of family life and information support was negative relationships. The received companionship support was lower tension in life changes than not received it. But the received instrumental support was higher tension of personal & social life. The received companionship & informational support was higher satisfaction than not received them. But the received instrumental support was lower satisfaction than not received it. 4) Instrumental & companionship support, at usual kin network of her parents in taw side, at wedding & funeral ceremony kin network of her parents side, were variables to influence on tension in life changes. Instrumental, companionship& informational support, at wedding & funeral ceremony kin network of her parents side, were variables to influence on the satisfaction

  • The purposes of this study were to identify influence of social networks and social support on depression among older women in rural area on agricultural off-season. The sample consisted of 112 women aged 65 years or over who lived in rural areas of Chung-Nam. Some variables related to depression in older women, including depression, social network, social support were measured using reliable instruments. Pathway analysis was used to test the proposed conceptual model designed to explain the direct, indirect and total effect between social networks and social support on depression. Result, direct effect of satisfaction with kin network and instrumental support on depression was found. And indirect effect of network size with kin, satisfaction with kin network on depression was found. Based on these results, it is necessary to develop supportive system to reduce depression and to improve satisfaction with kin network and instrumental support.

  • In this paper, we would like to show unexpected morphogenic potential of cell suspensions derived from seedling explants of Gentiana kurroo (Royle). Suspension cultures were established with the use of embryogenic callus derived from seedling explants (root, hypocotyl and cotyledons). Proembryogenic mass proliferated in liquid MS medium supplemented with $0.5mg\;l^{-1}$ 2,4-D and $1.0mg\;l^{-1}$ Kin. The highest growth coefficient was achieved for root derived cell suspensions. The microscopic analysis showed differences in aggregate structure depending on their size. To assess the embryogenic capability of the particular culture, 100 mg of cell aggregates was implanted on MS agar medium supplemented with Kin ($0.0-2.0mg\;l^{-1}$), $GA_3$ ($0.0-2.0mg\;l^{-1}$) and AS ($80.0mg\;l^{-1}$). The highest number of somatic embryos was obtained for cotyledon-derived cell suspension on $GA_3$-free medium, but the best morphological quality of embryos was observed in the presence of $0.5-1.0mg\;l^{-1}$ Kin, $0.5mg\;l^{-1}$ $GA_3$ and $80.0mg\;l^{-1}$ AS. The morphogenic competence of cultures also depended on the size of the aggregate fraction and was lower when size of aggregates decreased. Flow cytometry analysis reveled luck of uniformity of regenerants derived from hypocotyl suspension and 100% of uniformity for cotyledon suspension.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide information of the structure of the social support network and life interchange with the social support network which influence the life satisfaction in the rural elderly. The sample of this study was selected from the elderly living in Korea rural areas. 350 out of 363 respondents were finally selected as datum sources. The methodological instrument was the questionnaire. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First most of rural elderly had the relationship all kinds of social support network-family kin neighbors & friend. And the family was the primary source of support network. The com-mon size of the social support network was 1-3 persons. Second the frequency of the contact with the family the neighbors & the friends were almost daily and they were interacting in a near distance. The interchange with the social support network was high. Life satisfaction of the rural elderly was low. Third the interchange with the family and the kin the emotional interchange had the effect upon life satisfaction. Also the economic service support was significant in the kin and the neighbors.

  • This study investigated family foster care characteristics according to types of foster parents-surrogate, kin, general parents and predicting factors of foster children's adjustability to new environment. Participants were 618 cases of foster parents in 17 areas of the country through stratified sampling. It was found that the surrogate foster parent, tends to be older, received less education, has lower income, and is in poor health, as opposed to kin parents or general foster parents. There were significant effects of foster parent's age, living arrangement, income, education, consideration of foster child, and the periods of foster care experience as well as child's sex, contact of biological parents on emotional, behavioral, and family relational adjustment of the foster children.
