Light hydrocarbons accumulated in subsurface soil by long-term microseepage could favor the anomalous growth of indigenous hydrocarbon-oxidizing microorganisms, which could be crucial indicators of underlying petroleum reservoirs. Here, Illumina MiSeq sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene was conducted to determine the bacterial community structures in soil samples collected from three typical oil and gas fields at different locations in China. Incubation with n-butane at the laboratory scale was performed to confirm the presence of "universal microbes" in light-hydrocarbon microseepage ecosystems. The results indicated significantly higher bacterial diversity in next-to-well samples compared with background samples at two of the three sites, which were notably different to oil-contaminated environments. Variation partitioning analysis showed that the bacterial community structures above the oil and gas fields at the scale of the present study were shaped mainly by environmental parameters, and geographic location was able to explain only 7.05% of the variation independently. The linear discriminant analysis effect size method revealed that the oil and gas fields significantly favored the growth of Mycobacterium, Flavobacterium, and Pseudomonas, as well as other related bacteria. The relative abundance of Mycobacterium and Pseudomonas increased notably after n-butane cultivation, which highlighted their potential as biomarkers of underlying oil deposits. This work contributes to a broader perspective on the bacterial community structures shaped by long-term light-hydrocarbon microseepage and proposes relatively universal indicators, providing an additional resource for the improvement of microbial prospecting of oil and gas.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the importance and sensitivity to nursing interventions of six sensitive nursing outcomes selected from the Nursing Outcomes Classification. The outcomes in this study were Self-Care: Activities of Daily Living, Self-Care: Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, Treatment Behavior: Illness or Injury, Knowledge: Health Promotion, Caregiver Performance: Direct Care, and Caregiver Physical Health. Method: Data were collected from 97 visiting nurses working in public health centers located in a province and a capital city. The Fehring method was used to estimate outcomes and indicators for content validity. Simultaneous multiple regression and stepwise regression were used to evaluate relationships between each outcome and its indicators. Results: Results confirmed the importance and nursing sensitivity of the outcomes and their indicators. Multiple regression revealed key indicators of each outcome. Self-Care: Instrumental Activity of Daily Living needed to be revised. Neither all of the indicators nor the indicators showing the highest importance and contribution ratio were selected as independent variables for the stepwise regression model. The R2 of the regression models ranged from 29 to 56% in importance by selected indicators and from 56 to 83% in contribution. Conclusion: Further research is needed for the revision of outcomes and their indicators.
Financial ratio indicators of the 73 sample hospitals provided by the Korea Hospital Association in 1998-1999, together with the data by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute in 1007, were analysed to identify the financial structure and managerial performance of the profit/loss-making hospitals under the IMF. The major findings of this study were as belows. 1. Among the general characteristics, there was a statistical significance in the hospital location and the number of operating beds between profit-making hospitals and loss-making hospitals. 2. Financial ratio indicators of the profit-making hospitals were better than those of the loss-making hospitals. 3. Financial ratio indicators, including Liquidity, Performance Indicators and Growth Rate Indicators of profit-making hospitals, were better than those of loss-making hospitals except for Turnover Ratios under the IMF economic impasse.
Although the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) calculates oral health functional restriction rate and chewing discomfort rate every year, these two indicators are not all indicators of oral health. Therefore, indicators are needed to subdivide by age group and cover dental caries, periodontal disease, remaining teeth, and oral care use. The purpose of this study is to identify the key indicators of oral health in mature and middle age. The average number of existing natural teeth, the rates of 20 or more natural teeth, complaints of chewing discomfort, oral examination, periodontal disease and dental caries, were analyzed using KNHANES VI (2013-2015) as a complex sample. In the age group between 40 and 64, there were 25.2 natural teeth remaining, 91.4% natural teeth retention rate, 23% chewing discomfort rate, 34.7% oral examination rate, 38.7% periodontal disease prevalence, 6.46 the number of caries experience teeth, 21.4% interdental brush usage rate.

Management performance of a construction company can be the sum of management performance of each different project. Therefore, the measurement of management performance following construction projects is essential for securing the competitiveness of a company. However, most research has been related to the performance measurement of the construction industry and companies and little has been conducted on individual project's performance. In particular, building projects have various characteristics depending on construction orderer, type and commissioning entity but no performance indicators have been selected based on this classification. This study aims to select performance indicators for subdivided areas based on project characteristics as well as those which can be commonly used to measure management performance at construction and trial run stages of building projects. In the future, those indicators proposed in this study can be used for developing methodology to evaluate them and later applied to actual building projects to generate quantitative data. In addition, they are expected to be used as reference for selecting indicators to measure management performance of plant and civil engineering projects.
As a reinforcing strategic-alignment of IT business, Financial Service becomes more rely on IT systems. It needs to continuous information security activities to provide a secure and reliable finance service. Performance measurement of information security activities can be useful for decision and management support. The purpose of this study is to derive CSF(Critical Success Factor) and KPI(Key Performance Indicator) based on K-ISMS, Financial IT Information Security Standards. Providing a rationale can be used to determine key performance indicators, which are utilized as basic data for establishing security policies for financial IT security competency.

The measurement of business performance is important to secure the competitiveness of construction companies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze what is needed to increase the competitiveness of small & medium construction companies. In order to analyze efficiently, this study reconfirms the effectiveness of Key Performance Indicators(KPI) of construction companies selected from previous studies. The empirical analysis to find differences of KPI between small & medium construction companies and big construction companies is performed using the 4,286 construction company samples extracted by 'KIS-Value Data Base'. The results of the empirical analysis show that there are significant differences in characteristics of KPI between small & medium construction companies and big construction companies. Particularly, small & medium construction companies are relatively insufficient to invest for the purpose of preparation for future and long-term growth. Additionally, empirical tests reconfirm that most of the KPIs from previous survey studies are suitable as a performance indicators. The contribution of this study is to analyze empirically small & medium construction company's strong & weak points and the effectiveness of KPIs derived from previous studies.

This paper aims to develop an appropriate methodology for establishing an investment strategy for 'demonstration of artificial rainfall technology using UAV' and that include establishment of a technology classification, set of indicators for technology evaluation, suggestion of final key technology as a whole study area. It is designed to complement the latest research trend analysis results and expert committee opinions using quantitative analysis. The key indicators for technology evaluation consisted of three major items (activity, technology, marketability) and 10 detailed indicators. The AHP questionnaire was conducted to analyze the importance of indicators. As a result, it was analyzed that the attribute of the technology itself is most important, and the order of closeness to the implementation of the core function (centrality), feasibility (feasibility). Among the 16 technology groups, top investment priority groups were analyzed as ground seeding, artificial rainfall verification, spreading and diffusion of seeding material, artificial rainfall numerical modeling, and UAV sensor technology.
The performance of truck haulage operations in an underground mine was evaluated using the time usage model and key performance indicators (KPIs) proposed by Global Mining Guidelines Group (GMG). An underground mine that mainly produces iron and titanium iron was selected as a study area, and truck haulage data were collected using Bluetooth beacons and tablet PCs. The collected data were analyzed to identify unit operations, activities, events, and required time of truck haulage operations, and time categories were classified based on the time usage model. The performance of the haulage operations was evaluated using nine indicators in terms of availability, utilization, and effectiveness.
