Development of Interactive 3D Volume Visualization Techniques Using Contour Trees (컨투어 트리를 이용한 삼차원 볼륨 영상의 대화형 시각화 기법 개발)

  • This paper describes the development of interactive visualization techniques and a program that allow us to visualize the structure of the volume data and interactively select and visualize the isosurface components using contour tree. The main characteristic of this technique is to provide an algorithm that draws the contour tree in 2D plane in a way that users easily understand the tree, and to provide an algorithm that can efficiently extract an isosurface component utilizing GPU's parallel architecture. The main characteristic of the program we developed through implementing the algorithms is to provide us with an interactive user interface based on the contour tree for extracting an isosurface component and visualization that integrates with previous isosurface and volume rendering techniques. To show the excelland vof our methods, we applied 3D biomedical volume data to our algorithms. The results show that we could interactively select the isosurface components that represent a polypeptide chain, a ventricle and a femur respectively using the user interface based on our contour tree layout method, and extract the isosurface components with 3x-4x higher speed compared to previous methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 COVID-19와 같은 위급한 상황에서 바이러스 검사를 빠르게 진행하기 위한 K-d 트리 기반의 그래프 구축과 환자 이동 경로 시스템을 제안한다. 가상환경에서 활용되는 대표적인 길 찾기 알고리즘은 A*나 NavMesh 자료구조는 정해진 정적 이동 경로만을 안내하려는 방법이기 때문에 가상환경에서 NPC를 제어할 때는 효율적이지만, 실제 환경에 적용하여 문제를 풀기에는 충분하지 않다. 특히, 빠른 바이러스 검사를 받기 위해서는 짧은 거리만을 이용하는 게 아닌, 실제 도로 교통상황, 병원의 크기, 환자 이동 수, 환자 처리 시간 등 고려해야 할 상황들이 많다. 본 논문에서는 위에서 언급한 다양한 속성들과 이를 이용한 최적화 함수를 모델링하여, 실제 도시 맵에서 바이러스 검사를 빠르고 효율적으로 제어할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다.

A Mesh Partitioning Using Adaptive Vertex Clustering (적응형 정점 군집화를 이용한 메쉬 분할)

  • In this paper, a new adaptive vertex clustering using a KD-tree is presented for 3D mesh partitioning. A vertex clustering is used to divide a huge 3D mesh into several partitions for various mesh processing. An octree-based clustering and K-means clustering are currently leading techniques. However, the octree-based methods practice uniform space divisions and so each partitioned mesh has non-uniformly distributed number of vertices and the difference in its size. The K-means clustering produces uniformly partitioned meshes but takes much time due to many repetitions and optimizations. Therefore, we propose to use a KD-tree to efficiently partition meshes with uniform number of vertices. The bounding box region of the given mesh is adaptively subdivided according to the number of vertices included and dynamically determined axis. As a result, the partitioned meshes have a property of compactness with uniformly distributed vertices.

  • Resistance trimming and cutting processes of printed circuit board by making use of high power UV laser with nano-second pulse width have been proposed and investigated experimentally. Also laser-based application system with high flexibility and complex has been designed and adopted power controller, auto beam size control, auto-focusing and control program developed for ourselves. The function of each module shows that they can be reliable for industrial equipments. Resistance trimming method used a plunge and double cut process with $20{\mu}m$ spot size beam. Results show that double cut process is more effective to control resistance trimming in precision than plunge cut process.

A Study on Ray Tracing Method for Wave Propagation Prediction with Acceleration Methods (가속 방법을 이용하는 전파 광선 추적법에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we proposed an improved ray tracing method with an amelioration of visible tree structure, a visible face determination method, and non-uniform random test point method. In a proposed visible tree structure, it reduces tree nodes by means of merging similar nodes. In a visible face determination method, it shows that a ray hit test with a packet ray method can reduce a test time. A ray tracing method involving with a packet ray hit test method can improve a tree construction time up to 3.3 times than a ray tracing method with a single ray hit test method. Furthermore, by seeding a non-uniform and random test point on a face, tree construction time is improved up to 1.11 times. Received powers from the proposed ray tracing results and measured results have good agreement with 1.9 dB RMS error.

Three-Dimensional Object Recognition System Using Shape from Stereo Algorithm (스테레오 기법을 적용한 3차원 물체인식 시스템)

  • The depth information of 3D image lost by projecting 3D-object to 2D-screen for earning image. If depth information is restored and is used to recognize 3D-object, we can make the more effective recognition system. We often use shape from stereo algorithm in order to restore this information. In this paper, we suggest 3-D object recognition system in which the 3-D Hough transform domain is employed to represent the 3-D objects. In this system, we use the moving vector of object to reduce matching time and In second matching step, the unknown input image is compared with the reference images, which is made with octree codes. Octree codes are used in volume-based representation of a three dimensional object. The result of simulation show that the proposed 3-D object recognition system provides satisfactory performance.

  • A database sharing system (DSS) refers to a system for high performance transaction processing. In the DSS, the processing nodes are coupled via a high speed network and share a common database at the disk level. Each node has a local memory and a separate copy of operating system. To reduce the number of disk accesses, the node caches data pages and index pages in its memory buffer. In general, B-tree index pages are accessed more often and thus cached at more processing nodes, than their corresponding data pages. There are also complicated operations in the B-tree such as Fetch, Fetch Next, Insertion and Deletion. Therefore, an efficient cache consistency scheme supporting high level concurrency is required. In this paper, we propose cache consistency schemes using identifiers of index pages and page_LSN of leaf page. The propose schemes can improve the system throughput by reducing the required message traffic between nodes and index re-traversal.

Among of them its necessary to taking risk management measures to identify, evaluate and control of the security risks that can occur in Telemedicine because of the Medical information interchanges as Doctor to Doctor (D2D), Doctor to Patient (D2P). This research paper studies and suggests the risk analysis and evaluation methods of risk security that can occur in Telemedicine based on the verified results of Telemedicine system and equipment from the direct site which operating in primary clinics, public health centers and it's branches, etc.

A study on optimal planning of risk reduction for water suspension in water pipe system using fault tree analysis (결함트리분석을 이용한 상수관망 단수 리스크 저감 최적 방안 연구)

  • This study was carried out to analyze water suspension in the water supply system through fault tree analysis. And quantitative factors was evaluated to minimize water suspension. Consequently the aim of this study is to build optimal planning by analyzing scenarios for water suspension. Accordingly the fault tree model makes it possible to estimate risks for water suspension, current risks is $92.23m^3/day$. The result of scenario analysis by pipe replacement, risks for water suspension was reduced $7.02m^3/day$ when replacing WD4 pipe. As a result of scenario analysis by water district connections, the amount of risk reduction is maximized when it is connecting to network pipe of D Zone. Therefore, connecting to network pipe for D Zone would be optimal to reduce risk for water suspension.

  • 유비쿼터스 환경에서 대표적인 장치들 가운데 하나로서 이동장치를 고려할 수 있다. 요즈음 전반적인 이동장치의 흐름은 스마트폰에 주목하고 있으며, 이를 이용한 증강현실 등 객체들에 대한 지리적인 위치 및 현실적용 사례가 증가하고 있으며, 이들에 대한 데이터 처리가 매우 중요해지고 있다. 이와 같이 사용자에게 제공하는 모바일 응용 서비스들은 이동 객체에 기반한 다양한 서비스에 대한 기술이 요구되어지며, 또한 이들 기술을 활용하여 데이터를 시각적으로 인덱싱하여 신속하게 데이터가 처리되는 것을 시각적으로 표현하는 기술도 요구되어지고 있다. 그러나 이와 같이 사용자의 작업 이해를 높이기 위한 시각화 작업이 부족한 것이 사실이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 하위 트리를 갖는 R 트리 인덱스를 활용하여 객체 생성을 수행하며, 생성된 객체들을 기반으로 3차원 도형으로 표현한 구현 결과를 보인다. 또한, 생성되는 시점에서 객체에 붙여진 이름은 마우스를 이용한 위치점과 인접하였을 때 이름을 표시할 수 있도록 시각화한 결과에 대해 살펴본다.
