Swine influenza is an acute respiratory disease prevalent in pig-growing areas all around the world and plays the roles of an intermediate host to be transmitted to mammals including human beings through a genetic recombination with the avian influenza virus. Recognizing that people could be contracted with swine influenza, this study set out to investigate the seroprevalence of individual and multiple infections with two subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) of the swine influenza virus in pig farms in the Gyeongnam region according to age, area, and season, as well as to provide basic data for the prevention and control of swine influenza. Used in the study were total 904 swine sera that were not vaccinated against the influenza gathered from the pig farms in the Gyeongnam region from November, 2009 to October, 2010. HerdChek SIV (H1N1, H3N2) ELISA kit (IDEXX Laboratories, USA) was used for antibody testing against swine influenza. The test results show that 370 sera (40.9%) were infected with either H1N1 or H3N2 with 37.3% (337 sera) being contracted with H1N1, 13.1% (118 sera) with H3N2, and 9.4% (85) with both H1N1 and H3N2.

Thermal analyses were conducted in a thermogravimetric analyzer by isothermal technique in order to characterize the Korean anthracites-nitrogen oxides reaction. The tested coal sample was Dogae anthracites and compared with SP-1 graphite. Carbon-NO and carbon-N$_2$O reactions were carried out with respect to isothermal reaction temperatures (550$^{\circ}C$-900$^{\circ}C$) and reactant gas partial pressures (5 kPa∼20 kPa). In NO reaction, measured reaction orders of NO concentration and activation energy were 0.45∼0.96 and 39∼l12 kJ/mol, respectively. In N$_2$O reaction, measured reaction orders of N$_2$O concentration and activation energy were 0.62∼0.87 and 190∼215.3 kJ/mol, respectively. Compared the Korean anthracites-nitrogen oxides reaction with the combustion reaction, the reaction rate in the oxidation below 700$^{\circ}C$ decreases in the order O$_2$>NO>N$_2$O. But above 700$^{\circ}C$, the reaction rate of N$_2$O is faster than that of NO.

Objective : The aims of this study was to evaluate relationship between body dissatisfaction, personality characteristic, and stress in young adults. Methods : One hundred and ninety five young, healthy, and normal participants filled out all 3 types of self-reported questionnaire, the Body Dysmorphic Disorder Examination-Self Report (Korean version of BDDE-SR ; K-BDDE-SR), Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness-Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) and Stress Scale of Korean version of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (K-DASS-21). Results : Out of the 195 participants, 30% (n=59) was male and 70% (n=136) was female. There was no statistical difference between high K-BDDE-SR group (K-BDDE-SR score 75 percentile or higher, n=50) and low K-BDDE-SR group (K-BDDE-SR score below than 75 percentile, n=145) in terms of weight, height, and BMI. In high K-BDDE-SR group, neuroticism was significantly higher than low K-BDDE-SR group, and extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness were significantly lower than low K-BDDE-SR group. Also, level of stress in high K-BDDE-SR group was significantly higher than low K-BDDE-SR group. Conclusion : Our study revealed that individual's with more body dissatisfaction were more neurotic and stressful. Thus, body dissatisfaction and diverse psychiatric diseases should be considered in treating neurotic and stressful young adults.

Presently welded components are designed using S/N curves which predict only the fatigue life of the component. In order to ascertain the condition of the weld at any intermediate period of its life inspection is carried out. If cracks are detected in a weld fracture mechanics is used to find their remaining life. A procedure for assessment is developed here that can be used to verify the condition of a weld before inspection is carried out to detect cracks. This simple method has been developed using linear fracture envelopes by combining S/N curves with linear elastic fracture mechanics.

Nitrogen solubility in liquid Fe and Fe-C alloys has been measured by the levitation melting method under 1 atm $N_2$ pressure. Experiments were carried out at the temperature range of $1774-2097^{\circ}K$ and carbon content of 0-5.06wt%. The nitrogen solubilities measured in pure Fe and Fe-C alloys were $log(wt%N)_{Fe}=-424/T-1.129$ and $log(wt%N)_{Fe-C}=-[424/T+1.129+(%C)/19.14{5447/T-0.612}+(%C)^2/19.14$ 2478/T-1.265].

This paper examines some syntactic and semantic properties of the negative construction V+bo NP (VbN) in Taiwanese Southern Min (TSM). It finds out that there are ambiguities between an episode reading and a generic reading in VbN construction which require further investigations and explanations. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to account for the ambiguities lying in the negative VbN construction.

Electronic components that are used in high-level radiation environment require a semiconductor device having a radiation-hardened characteristic. In this paper, we proposed a radiation-hardened I-gate n-MOSFET (n-type Metal Oxide Semiconductors Field Effect Transistors) using a layout modification technique only. The proposed I-gate n-MOSFET structure is modified as an I-shaped gate poly in order to mitigate a radiation-induced leakage current in the standard n-MOSFET structure. For verification of its radiation-hardened characteristic, the M&S (Modeling and Simulation) of the 3D (3-Dimension) structure is performed by TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design) tool. In addition, we carried out an evaluation test using a $Co^{60}$ gamma-ray source of 10kGy(Si)/h. As a result, we have confirmed the radiation-hardened level up to a total ionizing dose of 20kGy(Si).

For estimation of chain-matching phenomena between normal paraffin as a solvent and straight-chain fatty acid as an additive, the density measurement of n-dodecane, n-tetradecane and n-hexadecane were carried out at oil temperature 313K and pressure up to 1.3 GPa. Their solidification pressure were easily determined by the appearance of molecular crystal, abrupt volumetric contraction and generation of heat of solidification and showed minima under the matching condition. The bulk modulus K of molecular crystal was evaluated using phase diagram. The bulk modulus showed maxima under the each matching condition. The chain matching effect on the bulk modulus beyond the scope of the interfacial phenomena are confirmed.

This paper presents some of the results of current research on 400kN Suspension Insulator Design. In this paper, authors carried out 2-dimensional field calculation in order to analyse dielectric characteristics of the insulator unit and 3-dimensional field calculation in order to analyse dielectric characteristics of the insulator strings. And the results of puncture tests of insulators were compared with the required field intensity of the insulator As results, it was found that electric field on the insulator unit is severest between two triple junctions, dielectric characteristics of insulator strings are much influenced by the surrounding configuration and the manufactured insulators have good results of puncture tests.
