Machine condition diagnosis is the technique to perceive the machine errors and the abrasion online without overhaul. We need the steps to predict the life span and reliability of a machine for the abrasion as with perceiving the degree of the abrasion of certain machine parts to make errors. In this study we deals with the methods to check and manage periodically and to configure the judgement criteria for the state of a machine. For the applications of CDT(Condition Diagnosis Technique) we also suggest the methods to check comparing the measured vibration values with the absolute criteria and to check the abnormality by vibration level.

In this paper, the recent trends of conformity assessment activity which is carrying out at ISO is summarized. It is an increasing requirement of quality assurance systems that a company's engineers and technicians are able to demonstrate that they have the required level of knowledge and skill. This is particularly so since maintenance and Inspection activities are very operator dependent and those in authority have to place great reliance on the skill, experience, Judgement and integrity of the personnel involved.

For the purpose of monitoring by ultrasonic test of the ball bearing conditions in rotating machinery, a system for their diagnosis was developed. ultrasonic technique is used to detect abnormal conditions in the bearing system. And various data such as frequency spectrum, energy and amplitude of ultrasonic signals, and ultrasonic parameters were acquired during experiments with the simulated ball bearing system. Based on the above results and practical application for power plant, algorithms and judgement criteria for diagnosis system was established.

The purposes of this paper are to compare expert systems and decision support systems, and illustrate the possible benefits when expert systems are integrated into the model base of a decision support systems for supporting decision-makers. Integrating expert systems capability into decision support systems may enhance the quality and efficiency of both computerized systems. This integration can improve selection of model, analysis, model management, judgement, and modeling. Thus the results are much more powerful decision support systems than are presently available.

This study aims to develop the methodology based on the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) of evaluation for commercial paper. commercial paper is the ma product of merchant banks. commercial paper evaluation is annually performed by the credit-evaluation agency. Credit evaluation is performed by the informal judgemental system, which has potential to induce serious inconsistencies in decision-making. We present an objective scoring model which does not suffer from the weakness of the subjective judgement system. The model used is illustrated by analyzing the commercial paper evaluation for the 3 motor-companies(H, K and S motors).

This study investigated human error characteristics of the 42 fatal industrial accidents reported by staff members of Korea Industrial Safety Corporation. Various types of human error were judged to be primary contributing factors in about 74 percent of the cases. Most of human error made by involved industrial operators resulted from two types of mistakes: (1) mistake in judgement of work situation, and (2) omission in daily check. It was concluded that preparation/observance for work procedure manuals, danger predication training and enforcement/Education of daily check routine would be effective preventive tools for these types of human error attributable to fatal industrial accidents.

Energy saving is a very important subject for research workers nowadays. While most people are concerning with the modern methods, the authors investigated this problem from another angle- the chinese traditional methods of energy saving. The tunnel with technique and its combination with computer simulation and fuzzy compressive judgement methods are discussed. Earth heat green house, marsh gas, solar energy underground storage system, storing of nature cold sources, have been introduced in this paper.

The color image of the rose was segmented by the cluster analysis on the color space into the characteristic sub-regions, the degree of bloom of the flower was represented numerically base on the segmented image and judged by the artificial neural network system whose input variable were the characteristic regions. Judgement by neural system were compared with that of the farmers and it was found that degree of agreement were fairly good.
