소형 초전도 부상자석의 특성 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of a Small Scale HTSC Levitation Magnet)

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of a small scale $high-T_c$ superconducting(HTSC) levitation system. The levitation tester. which models after electrodynamic suspension(EDS) maglev, consists of one HTSC magnet, a reaction plate, and force measuring components. Instead of moving magnet, AC current was applied to the fixed HTSC magnet. The magnet also has persistent current switch(PCS). The inductance of the magnet was 18.5 mH and total joint resistance of the magnet was $5.74{\times}10^{-7}\Omega$. AC current was applied into the HTSC magnet with various frequencies and the levitation force was calculated and measured. According to the increase of the vehicle speed, the levitation force was saturated.

다운증후군 아동들의 보행 비대칭성 연구 (Gait Asymmetry in Children with Down Syndrome)

  • A large interindividual variability and some abnormally kinematic patterns at the lower extremity were the main features of the gait in children with Down syndrome. The purposes of this study were to investigate the gait asymmetry and biomechanical difference between dominant leg and non dominant leg in children with Down syndrome. Seven boys with Down Syndrome(age: $120{\pm}0.9yrs$, weight $34.4{\pm}8.4kg$, leg length: $68.7{\pm}5.0cm$) participated in this study. A 10.0 m ${\times}$ 1.3 m walkway with a firm dark surface was built and used for data collection. Three-dimensional motion analyses were performed to obtain the joint angles and range of motions. The vertical ground reaction forces(%BW) and impulses($%BW{\cdot}s$) were measured by two force plates embedded in the walkway. Asymmetry indices between the legs were computed for all variables. After decision the dominant leg and the non dominant leg with max hip abduction angle, paired samples t-test was employed for selected kinematic and ground reaction force variables to analyze the differences between the dominant leg and the non dominant leg. The max hip abduction angle during the swing phase showed most asymmetry, while the knee flexion angle at initial contact showed most symmetry in walking and running. The dominant leg showed more excessive abduction of hip in the swing phase and more flat-footed contact than the non dominant leg. Vertical peak force in running showed more larger than those of in walking, however, vertical impulse showed more small than walking due to decrease of support time. In conclusion, the foot of dominant leg contact more carefully than those of non dominant leg. And also, there are no significant difference between the dominant leg and the non dominant leg in kinematic variables and ground reaction force due to large interindividual variability.

드롭 랜딩에서 발끝자세가 무릎관절 운동역학에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Toe Headings on the Biomechanics of Knee Joint in Drop Landing)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the toe headings on the biomechanics of knee joint in drop landing in an attempt to find the potential risk of non-contact anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Seventeen male college students ($20.5{\pm}1.1$ yrs; $175.2{\pm}6.4$ cm; $68.8{\pm}5.8$ kg), having no neuromuscular injury within an year, participated in this study. Three different toe headings such as toe-in (TI), neutral (N), and toe-out (TO) positions were tested. Motion capturing system consisting of eight high speed cameras and two force platforms were used to collect three-dimensional motion data and ground reaction force data during landing. Results indicated joint angles and peak joint moments were significantly affected by the toe headings. TI position produced larger valgus angle due to reduce knee distance in addition to higher flexion and valgus moment than other positions, which was somewhat vulnerable to the potential risk of non-contact ACL injury. TO position caused the largest internal rotation angle with smaller joint moments. Therefore, it is recommended that athletes need to land on the ground with neutral toe-heading position as possible in order to minimize the potential risk of non-contact ACL injury.

협착교량의 구조해석 및 안전성 평가 (Structural Analysis and Safety Assessment for Constricted Bridges)

  • 지속적인 폭염이 발생함에 따라 협착으로 인한 포장 솟음이나 교량 신축이음 파손 사례가 다수 발견되고 있다. 특히 교량에서의 협착은 구조물의 안전성을 위협하거나 장기적인 내구성을 저하시킬 수 있는 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 교량에 협착이 발생할 경우에 대한 구조해석 방법을 제시하고, 대표형식 교량에 대한 협착상태 구조해석을 수행하여 그 거동 영향을 확인하였다. 대표교량은 상부구조의 경우 콘크리트교와 강교, 하부구조의 경우 직접기초와 말뚝기초로 구분하여 선정하였으며, 측방유동압, 알칼리 골재반응에 의한 포장팽창, 뒤채움재의 Creep로 인한 침하를 협착에 대한 추가적인 하중으로 고려하였다. 구조해석 결과를 실제 측정된 유간 데이터와 비교하여 구조해석 방법을 검증하였다. 또한 협착에 의한 거동 영향 분석을 수행하여 축력이 증가함에 따른 상부구조의 형식별 안전율 변화 경향을 확인하였다.

인공지능을 이용한 휴머노이드 로봇의 자세 최적화 (Optimization of Posture for Humanoid Robot Using Artificial Intelligence)

  • This research deals with posture optimization for humanoid robot against external forces using genetic algorithm and neural network. When the robot takes a motion to push an object, the torque of each joint is generated by reaction force at the palm. This study aims to optimize the posture of the humanoid robot that will change this torque. This study finds an optimized posture using a genetic algorithm such that torques are evenly distributed over the all joints. Then, a number of different optimized postures are generated from various the reaction forces at the palm. The data is to be used as training data of MLP(Multi-Layer Perceptron) neural network with BP(Back Propagation) learning algorithm. Humanoid robot can find the optimal posture at different reaction forces in real time using the trained neural network include non-training data.

착지 동작 시 깔창 높이가 20대 남성의 하지 관절 각도와 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Insole Height on Lower Limb Joint Angle and Muscle Activity at Landing when the Maximal Ground Reaction Force of Male in Their 20s)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 착지 시 키 높이 깔창 높이에 따라 젊은 남성의 최대지면반발력시 하지관절각도와 근 활성도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 있다. 20대 남성을 대상으로 총 3주에 걸쳐 한 주당 0, 3, 5cm 의 폴리우레탄 소재의 깔창 중 무작위로 하나를 착용하여 40cm 높이의 플랫폼 위에서 Force plate로 착지 동작을 시행하였다. 착지 동작 중 최대 지면반발력 시 하지의 관절 각도와 넙다리곧은근, 넙다리두갈래근, 앞정강근, 장딴지근의 근활성도를 측정하였다. 깔창의 높이에 따른 하지관절 각도와 근활성도의 변화를 비교하기 위해 반복요인이 있는 분산분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 하지관절각도 분석 결과 깔창의 높이가 높아질수록 좌측 발목관절 각도에 영향을 주었으며, 근활성도 분석 결과 깔창의 높이가 높아질수록 우측 앞정강근과 양쪽 넙다리 두갈래근에 영향을 주었다. 하지 근육의 충분한 근력증가를 통하여 착지시 신체를 보호할 수 있을 것이라고 생각되며 깔창의 종류에 따라 영향을 미치는 근육과 하지관절의 각도도 다를 수 있으므로 그에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

편마비 환자의 앉은 자세에서 일어서기 동작 시 의자 높이와 발의 조건이 생체역학적 요소에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Chair Height and Foot Condition on the Biomechanical Factors in Sit-to-Stand Movement of Hemiplegic Patients)

  • Background: It is very difficult for hemiplegic patients to effectively perform the sit-to-stand (STS) movements independently because of several factors. Moreover, the analysis of STS motion in hemiplegic patients has been thus far confined to only muscle strength evaluation with little information available on structural and environmental factors of varying chair height and foot conditions. Objects: This study aimed to analyze the change in biomechanical factors (ground reaction force, center of mass displacement, and the angle and moment of joints) of the joints in the lower extremities with varying chair height and foot conditions in hemiplegic patients while they performed the STS movements. Methods: Nine hemiplegic patients voluntarily participated in this study. Their STS movements was analyzed in a total of nine sessions (one set of three consecutive sessions) with varying chair height and foot conditions. The biomechanical factors of the joints in the lower extremities were measured during the movements. Ground reaction force was measured using a force plate; and the other abovementioned parameters were measured using an infra-red camera. Two-way repeated analysis of variance was performed to determine the changes in biomechanical factors in the lower extremities with varying chair height and foot conditions. Results: No interaction was found between chair height and foot conditions (p>.05). All measured variables with varying chair height showed a significant difference (p<.05). Maximum joint flexion angle, maximum joint moment, and the displacement of the center of mass in foot conditions showed a significant difference (p<.05); however the maximum ground reaction force did not show a significant difference (p>.05). Conclusion: The findings suggest that hemiplegic patients can more stably and efficiently perform the STS movement with increased chair height and while they are bare-foot.

레일신축이음 설치된 장대레일 적용 연속교의 구조물-궤도 상호작용에 의한 온도하중이 교량 받침에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bridge Bearings by Structure-Track Interaction for Continuous Bridge applied CWR with Rail Expansion Joint under Temperature Load)

  • The additional axial force of CWR(continuous welded rail) is occurred by structure-track interaction, in reverse, fixed supports of structure are applied the large load by that. Ratio of load which transferred on support through the bridge superstructure with one-side REJ by acceleration and braking load are stated in High-Speed Rail Design Criteria(2005). On the other hand the horizontal forces of support delivered to the load due to thermal loads has been no report about the criteria. Therefore, this study was performed the review of the reaction and displacement on support by structure-track interaction in a special bridge(composite brdiges, 45+55+55+45=200m) with REJ acting on the temperature load. As a result, because fixed support of a special bridge or a continuous bridge with REJ under the temperature load which is constant load has been acted the large lateral load by structure-track interaction, when determining the fixed bearing capacity of structure should be reflected in the results to secure the safety of structures was confirmed.

차량 후드 작동용 프레임의 설계해석 및 실험식 유도 (Design Analysis and Derivation of Experimental Equations of Hood Frame for Vehicle)

  • This paper presents the experimental result and theoretical analysis result to investigate the correlation between the operating force and locking torque for vehicle hood frame. Also, we derived the experimental equations that using the results of experiment and theory. The hood frame is switching-devices used for opening and closing the vehicle hood. It needs the correlation data between locking torques of each joint and operating force of hood frame because the parameters affects the emotional quality of the vehicle. The correlation data for torque and force of hood frame obtained through experiment and theory analysis. Finally, two experimental equations of correlation are derived. Thus, the developed equations show that has high usefulness for the basic design of hood frame of vehicle.

Effects of Hallux Valgus Orthoses on Ground Reaction Force Using 3D Motion Analysis in Individuals With Hallux Valgus Deformity

  • Background: Hallux valgus (HV) is a foot deformity developed by mediolateral deviation of the first metatarsophalangeal joint. Although various foot-toe orthoses were used to correct the HV angle, verification of the effects of kinetics variables such as ground reaction force (GRF) through three-dimensional (3D) gait analysis according to the various type of orthoses for HV is insufficient. Objects: This study aimed to investigate the effect of soft and hard types of foot and toe orthoses to correct HV deformity on the GRF in individuals with HV using 3D motion analysis system during walking. Methods: Twenty-six subjects participated in the experiment. Participants had HV angle of more than 15° in both feet. Two force platforms were used to obtain 3D GRF data for both feet and a 3D motion capture system with six infrared cameras was used to measure exact stance phase point such as heel strike or toe off period. Total walk trials of each participant were 8 to 10, the walkway length was 6 m. Two-way repeated measures ANOVA was used to determine the effects of each orthosis condition on the various GRF values. Results: The late anteroposterior maximal force and a first vertical peak force of the GRF showed that the hard type orthosis condition significantly increased GRF compared to the other orthosis conditions (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There were significant effects in GRF values when wearing the hard type foot orthosis. However, the hard type foot orthosis was uncomfortable to wear during walking. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new foot-toe orthosis that can compensate for these disadvantages.
