Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of psychiatric and community mental health nurses' job satisfaction. Methods: This was a descriptive and correlational study in which 151 psychiatric and community mental health nurses (PCMHNs) took part between September and October 2009. Results: The mean score for job satisfaction of the participants was 3.25. In job satisfaction, there were significant differences between psychiatric and community mental health nurse practitioner (PCMHNP) and nurse in community mental health center. All variables except role conflict were positively correlated with job satisfaction. As a result, factors influencing job satisfaction were reward system (${\beta}$=.46, p<.001), self-esteem (${\beta}$=.35, p<.001), leadership (${\beta}$= .27, p<.001), career as a PCMHNP (${\beta}$=-.12, p<.007), job-related characteristics (${\beta}$=.11, p<.24), and career as a nurse in community mental health center (${\beta}$=.09. p<.045). These factors explained 70.3% of the total variance. Conclusion: The results indicated that the comprehensive understanding of job satisfaction to the independent variables could suggest the way how to increase the job satisfaction for psychiatric and community mental health nurse who are a catalysts promoting mental health in community mental health center.

Purpose: This study was done to provide data that would contribute to effective task performance in clinical nursing and development of nursing professional by understanding job stress, job satisfaction and organizational commitment according to Life Organization (LIFO) behavior types of novice nurses. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey and the participants were 313 novice nurses who worked in one university hospital located in the city of Gwangju. Data were collected through the structured questionnaires that included general characteristics, job stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment scales. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 19.0. Results: Regarding job stress according to LIFO behavior types of novice nurses, there were statistically significant differences between the favorable situation and the unfavorable situation. There were also statistically significant differences regarding the organizational commitment according to LIFO behavior types. Conclusion: The results indicate a difference in behavior patterns of novice nurses that suggest a need for education in order to reduce stress from the job and enhance organizational commitment by developing each nurse's preferred pattern and compensating for unfavorable patterns, as well. There also needs to be nursing resources that take into consideration behavior patterns of novice nurses.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the understanding about speech therapy and the satisfaction of counseling about speech therapy according to the characteristics of mothers who have children with disabilities, and to devise the clinical instruction methods to provide the effective speech therapy by identifying the correlation between the two variables. Methods: This study conducted a survey for 78 mothers of children with disabilities who use speech therapy labs in university. 17 questions were composed to investigate the understanding degree about speech therapy and 24 questions were composed to investigate the satisfaction degree about speech therapy counseling. Results: First, the survey showed that mothers who have the higher education level have the higher understanding degree about language(p<0.01). Second, the survey showed that mothers who have the higher education level have the lower satisfaction degree about counseling process(p<0.5). In the view of job status, mothers who have a job have the higher satisfaction degree about counseling time(p<0.5). Third, the survey showed that in the view of mothers'understanding degree about speech therapy and satisfaction degree about counseling, mothers who have the higher understanding degree about language, speech therapy tools and speech therapy area have the higher satisfaction degree about counseling. Conclusions: This study showed the necessity to understand the subjects'needs exactly and communicate with mothers actively. In addition, the concrete and various methods should be devised in order to increase the understanding degree about speech therapy and increase the satisfaction degree of counseling about the clinical practice environment and language therapy process.
The number of Healthy Family Support Centers has dramatically increased during the past eight years since the Framework Act on Healthy Families was enacted. This phenomenal growth is largely credited to Certified Healthy Family Specialists (CHFSs). Despite their contributions, the job and working conditions of the CHFSs have rarely been explored from the insiders' perspective. In this study, we aim to delineate CHFSs' job and working conditions from their own narratives in order to improve an understanding of CHFSs' profession and work environment. We conducted in-depth interviews with nine CHFSs and a focus-group interview with five CHFSs. Our findings revealed that CHFSs took pride in their professions, internalized their professional mission of enhancing family strengths, and highlighted CHFSs' unique professional role in comparison to other human services professionals. In conclusion, CHFSs showed a strong professional identity consisting of rich professional knowledge, solid career goals, and integrated socio-political values. Contrary to the positive perception of the CHFSs' job, CHFSs expressed challenges in their working conditions in terms of small-scale organizations at local Healthy Family Support Centers, a heavy workload, hierarchical relationships with local government officers, and the unsatisfactory payroll and promotion system. This study contributes to a better understanding of CHFSs' job and their working conditions and provides insights on how to enhance professionalism among CHFSs and their work environment. As for policy implications, we suggest advancing qualifications for CHFSs, improving professional training programs for current CHFSs, and expanding small-scale organizations.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between academic achievement and job satisfaction in secondary NCS vocational education. The questionnaires were divided into 5 variables : NCS education understanding, quality of education service, necessity of vocational education, academic achievement, job satisfaction. We used SPSS WIN 18.0, to examine the importance, reliability, validity, and association analysis using questionnaires. The results showed that the quality of education service and the necessity of vocational education were influenced on academic achievement in independent variables. But understanding of NCS education was not adopted. In the parameters and dependent variables, academic achievement was found to affect job satisfaction. So if educational institutions are to pay attention to and improve the quality of vocational education service and the need for vocational education, academic achievement will increase. Academic achievement is expected to positively affect job satisfaction after employment.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of two-dimensional factor of motivators and hygiene on civil servants' job satisfaction using the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) as a technique employed to analyze the measurement and structural models. Exploratory study was deployed to evaluate the relationship among variables. By using multistage stratified sampling, statistical data was collected from a survey of 441 public municipal civil servants who have employed in various levels (municipal government, districts and communes) in Vietnam. The findings provided evidence that hygiene factors (relationship with leader, salary, relationship with coworker and working environment) directly impact on civil servants' job satisfaction. Meanwhile, only career development factor from motivators significantly influenced on public employee's job satisfaction. Based on the empirical results, the hygiene factors of job satisfaction are more dominated that the motivators one. This finding suggests that municipal governments should focus policies on improving the hygiene factors which lead to higher job satisfaction on civil servants. Gaining a thorough understanding of the determinants of job satisfaction toward municipal public servants will enable policy makers to grasp the factors that results in retaining employees. Finally, the policy makers can use this knowledge to promote civil servants' job satisfaction.
The present study investigates how communication styles of leaders affect job performance and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) through followers' positive psychological capital. While previous studies have examined the relationships among positive psychological capital, job performance, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), much less known about the effect of communication styles of leaders. This study divides leaders' communication patterns into dogmatic communication and sociable communication. To verify hypotheses of this study, we used data collected from the fashion companies. 191 surveys were distributed and 142 responses were used for the analysis. Empirical results show that sociable communication of leaders has positive impact on followers' positive psychological capital, job performance, and OCB, while dogmatic communication style didn' t have a significant impact on positive psychological capital, job performance, and OCB. In addition, job performance is influenced strongly by followers' positive psychological capital than OCB in sociable communication condition. The results of this study suggest implications for understanding the important role of communication styles on the relationship between followers' psychological mind-set and job behavior. Future studies are required to solve the problems on the inconsistent results between dogmatic communication and followers' job attitudes. The theoretical and managerial contributions and the limitations were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to explore the link between job satisfaction and organizational commitment at higher education institutions (HEIs) in emerging countries such as Vietnam and to determine extrinsic work factors that influence job satisfaction. Higher education is critical for socio-economic growth and the overall development of each country. Hence, an understanding of what motivates employees' actions and attitudes should be obtained before determining the extent of employee satisfaction. The conceptual model was developed by incorporating job satisfaction-related variables, their relationships, and the impact of job satisfaction on organizational commitment. An empirical study was conducted on a study sample of public and private universities, with 316 academics and non-academic employees surveyed. The current study employed the partial least squares structural equation modeling to test the proposed hypotheses. The results reveal a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The findings confirm that extrinsic work factors (job itself, supervision, working conditions, payment, and reward and recognition) have a positive and significant relationship with job satisfaction. Furthermore, the study indicates that employees at HEIs who have a high level of ability utilization and supervisor support are more likely to be satisfied with their jobs.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic information to school foodservice employees so that they can meet their professional responsibilities by understanding the relationship of job burnout, job engagement, job stress and level of job satisfaction and analyze the influence between these factors according to the general characteristics of the employees. The subjects included employees at 426 school foodservices in Busan. The mean job engagement was significantly different in the reason that cooks chose this profession(p<0.05), and readiness to quit(p<0.001). The mean job stress was significantly different in different age groups(p<0.01), cooking certification(p<0.01), reason that cooks chose this profession(p<0.01), and readiness to quit(p<0.05). The mean job stress was significantly different in the reason cooks chose this profession(p<0.01), and readiness to quit(p<0.05). In terms of the level of satisfaction of coworkers, the subfactor of job burnout, 'self-confidence' and 'achievement' had positive influences (p<0.01) and for the level of satisfaction of the work, it had positive influences on 'achievement'(p<0.01) and negative influences on 'exhaustion' (p<0.01). In terms of the level of satisfaction of co-workers and work, the subfactor of job engagement, 'absorption' had positive influences(p<0.01). Among the level of job satisfaction, for the level of satisfaction of pay, the subfactor of job stress, 'unstable job' had negative influences(p<0.01) and 'role conflict' had positive influences(p<0.05). For the level of satisfaction of co-workers, the subfactor of job stress, 'role conflict' had negative influences(p<0.01), and for the level of satisfaction of work, 'inappropriate circumstance' and 'unstable job' had negative influences (p<0.01).
This study aims to explore how the individual characteristics of the senior job placement project coordinators and the organizational structure in which they work affect their job performance. A survey of 251 coordinators who were working in the senior job placement project agencies were retrieved and used for empirical analysis using the SPSS Win.12 program. The result shows that a sense of self efficacy, the individual traits(understanding of the senior job placement project, attitude towards the elderly) and the organizational structure(the level of formalization of agency) were statistically significant predictors of the level of job performance. The results of this study show that the coordinators who were more confident about themselves, who had more understanding about the senior job placement project, who had more positive attitude towards the social activities of the elderly, and who were working in agencies with higher level of formalization had a higher level of job performance than their counterparts. Therefore, more policy and program considerations should be taken into account in empowering the coordinators, and in providing them with standardized organizational process. This in turn will ultimately enable them to better serve the elderly who participate in the senior job placement projects.
