The Relationship between Self-Esteem and Employment, Appearance of University Students in Some Regions (일부지역 대학생의 자아존중감과 취업, 외모의 관련성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to relationship between self-esteem and employment, appearance. This survey was performed on 483 of university students in some regions. The research was performed using a self-reported questionnaire. Self-esteem was higher in the first, fourth grade and college of military science & police administration, college of medical science. Job-seeking stress was higher in the fourth grade and college of global business adminstration, college of medical engineering. Job preparation behavior was higher in the fourth grade and college of rehabilitation & welfare education. Interest in appearance & appearance management behavior was higher in the female, fourth grade, college of global business adminstration. Higher self-esteem group showed significant interactive effects between the job preparation behavior, appearance management behavior. Job-seeking stress has also been investigated as a much higher employment preparation behavior. In conclusion, increasing the self-esteem of education in the college will be able to raise the employment.

A study on the impact of stress on self-confidence in job-seeking through structural equation modelling (구조방정식을 이용한 취업스트레스가 취업자신감에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • To enhance employment rate of students, every college provides various methods, such as consulting, information provision, course and mock interview. Students also are trying to get high GPA scores, to achieve certificates and to enhance english ability for getting jobs. We analyzed the relations self-confidence in getting jobs, college supports, students preparation for getting jobs and job-seeking stress via structural equation modelling. We found that college supports increase students preparation for getting jobs and job-seeking stress lessens self-confidence in getting jobs.

Employment preparation and job preference of dental hygiene majoring students (치위생(학)과 졸업예정자의 취업준비 및 선호도에 관한 조사연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate dental hygiene majoring students on employment preparation and job preference. Methods : Subjects were 471 dental hygiene majoring students in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do, Daejeon, Chungcheong-do, Busan, and Jeju-do. Except 34 incomplete answers, 437 copies were analyzed. Results : Female accounted for 98.9%. Grade point average(GPA) ranged from 3.5 to 4.0 (38.8%). Most of the students lived in Gyeonggi (20.4%). Out of 364 students, 58.5% had hospital coordinator certificates and 36.3% had computer related certificatse. Those who studied in Gyeongnam wanted to work in Gyeongnam (90.6%), and those who studied in Seoul wanted to work in Seoul (79.7%). These results revealed the same tendencies in Gangwon(56.8%), Gyeonggi(47.6%) and Jeju(39.3%). Except for Chungbuk and Gyeongnam, most students preferred Seoul as a preferable working location (p<0.000). The reason for the preferable working locations included easy commutation (31.0%), higher income (28.5%), and brand value of hospital (22.5%). Most students chose job for easy commutation (44.8%, p<0.000) and welfare benefits (29.6%). Preference for income ranged from 15,000,000~20,000,000 Korean Won including Daejeon (75.0%), Gyeongnam (59.4%), Chungbuk (58.4%), and Jeju (56.7%). Conclusions : It is necessary to implement the various curricula development including future planning and mastery of foreign language education focused on globalization.

The Quality Characteristics of Jeolpyon with Different Amounts of Job's Tears Flour (율무가루 첨가량이 절편의 품질특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to determine the optimum addition amount of Job's tears flour, in place of rice flour, in the preparation of Yulmoo Jeolpyon (Job's tears rice cake). The moisture contents of the Jeolpyon samples with added Job's tears flour were 43-45%. With increasing additions of Job's tears flour, the L-value decreased, whereas the a- and b-values increased. In the mechanical evaluation of the Job's tears Jeolpyon, hardness decreased with increasing amounts of Job's tears flour. Cohesiveness, springiness, gumminess and chewiness were lower in the Jeolpyon samples with added Job's tears flour with more than 0% Job's tears flour, respectively. The adhesiveness did not differ significantly with the addition of Job's tears flour. In the sensory evaluation, overall acceptability was highest at the 20% level of Job's tear flour. In conclusion the Jeolpyon made with 20% Job's tear flour to rice flour was found to be the best formulation, in terms of its overall acceptability and textural qualities.

A Phenomenological Study on Multicultural Adolescents' Career Preparation Out of School (학교밖 중도입국 청소년의 진로준비에 대한 현상학적 융합연구)

  • The purpose of this study provides multicultural adolescents' out of school career preparation experience. Seven multicultural adolescents out of school living in Seoul, Gyeonggido, Chungchungdo were selected for the in-depth interview. Data were collected from July to September, 2019. This research utilized Colaizzi's phenomenological method. The participants provided 14 themes on the essential structure of experience and 5 theme clusters. The final 14 themes were relationship with friends, speedy learning ability, fear of learning, generous character, no dreaming, enjoying hobby, influence of job, influence of mother, no concept of career, looking for mother language-related job, no managing time and health, material abundance, trying diet, burden about test. Based on this result, it is suggested to acknowledge importance of positive motive pursuit for career, various support giving power, positive attitude of career, self-reflection, road to go for career preparation.

Factors Affecting Working Participation of University Students (대학생의 근로 참여 의지에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Today, Competition in employment among the youth is more intensified and this phenomena lead to youth unemployment problems. This study was conducted to found the influence of youth employment effort on labor participation. We studied what variables could affect motivation of employment preparation especially among undergraduate and graduated students. We used 3rd~5th(2009~2011) 'Youth Panel Data' designed by Korean Employment Information Service. Data we adjusted were male(3,481) female(3,770). We applied the Generalized Estimating Equations to Panel logit model. We found that job education and training, career guidance, job shadowing program, getting new certification, sex, age and change of gross income affected employment preparation with controling education factors, socio-economic factors. This study found the effort of employment preparation was significant impact on labor participation and showed an influence on each variable empirically. We suggest that the youth-unemployment problem there is a need to approach fundamental aspects.

  • The object of this study is the effects of a cosmetology education for career discontinuity women who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment on career preparation behavior, so I analyzed reemployment characteristics, cosmetology education satisfaction, and career preparation behavior for 300 women in thirties to fifties who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment. Reemployment women's reemployment characteristics are various according to age, level of education, major field, training period, and educational institution, and sub factors of cosmetology education satisfaction affects meaningfully to improve career preparation behavior. Especially, educational contents and consultation about getting a job and career casts a long shadow relatively to career preparation behavior, so educational contents and consultation service about getting a job and career are important to make reemployment rate through career preparation behavior high. Based on such factors, the study will fulfill students' demand in cosmetology educational institutions, will highlight the importance of an efficient cosmetology education for developing industrial settings once more, and will offer base line data of consultation service about getting a job and career that can make satisfaction and credibility of educational institutions high, so will help the development of a cosmetology education and career discontinuity women's reemployment.

  • Given the ability and skills required by modern people, marketing can be divided into knowledge-related skill such as marketing plans, market segmentation, and marketing mix management and supportive skill such as communication, inter-organizational management, creativity, and decision making. Knowledge related skills can be nurtured in existing marketing classes, but it is recognized that special educational programs such as self marketing are needed to develop and train supportive skills regardless of education levels or major education. This paper is aimed to design for marketing educational program for the self marketing. In this study, a DACUM method job analysis to extract contents by specialists such as model setting of task and job, job statement, job analysis, education course development, and so on. In the first place, this report presents job analysis model by procedures for developing selection criteria of examination questions of the self marketing qualification. The first step is preparation for job analysis, the second step: the establishment of job models, the third step : the job specification and task analysis, the fourth step: the review of job model, the fifth step: the establishment of subjects for examination matrix table for making questions.

A study on the employment preparation cost and attitude of college student for Job-seeking (국내 대학생의 취업태도 및 취업준비 비용에 관한 연구)

  • This Study focuses on the university students' job attitude and cost of employment preparation. Nowadays, many university and college students spend a big money improving their employment preparation such as studying on foreign language, getting various kinds of certificates and tooth correction, clothing etc. for employment interview. This study investigated the cost of employment preparation and Job attitude of the 484 students of universities and colleges, the analysis of the collected data was conducted with SPSS 12.0 program by using frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability assessment, correlation test, t-test, one way ANOVA. The university students paid more costs of employment preparation such as a language training abroad, a private training, and clothing than the college students. Also, Allied social science students paid more costs of the language training abroad, and clothing than allied computer science and allied design students. The female students paid more money than male students for tooth correction. The costs of language training abroad, private training and clothing are affected the students' socioeconomic background of a home. Regarding the job attitude of students, the university students are feeling more positive than the college students of the employment efficacy and cognition of the education environment. As result, the differences in the cost of employment preparation by the university type, faculty major course, their sex, and socioeconomic background of a home. The student's employment-efficacy and cognition of the education environment are also differences between the university and the college students. So, to improve the job attitude, developing their ability for employment preparation, educational programs should be arranged in school and continuous researches are needed.

  • The occupational socialization process of security and secretary service goes through four stages of preparation, adaptation, conflicts, and maturity and dynamic and incessant changes. The preparation stage includes the preparation to become a security and secretary service, the importance of what to prepare, usefulness of college education, required courses, and certificates. The adaptation stage includes the percentage of bodyguard and secretary, systematic nature of work, stagnation of the job, abilities required for a security and secretary service, elements to work on, job satisfaction, information sources, professionalism of the job, and future of the job. In the conflicts stage includes conflicts at work, difficulty of security and secretary service, problem-solving efforts, advice and consultation, satisfaction with workload, job stress, perceptions of others for security and secretary service, experience of trying to get another job, and supplements. And the maturity stage includes the changes to the roles and capabilities of a security and secretary service, autonomy of business management, degree of others' recognition of one's abilities, methods to evaluate job performance, salary, social status and pride, and efforts for self-development.
