Case-Based Reasoning Support for ERP Pre-Planning

  • A project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of the project. A pre-project planning is also essential job for information system implementations at the early stage of project planning, especially for management information system like ERP. However, pre-project planning is very difficult, because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Pre-project planning of ERP implementation has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experiences. In this article, we propose a system that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP project with case-based reasoning(CBR) framework. The proposed CBR system saves previous cases of ERP pre-project planning in the case base. Then, the system finds the most similar case with the current pre-project planning problem. Project manager can make a pre-project plan by adjusting the most similar case. From the interview with project managers, we collect some field cases of ERP implementation. We organized these cases by using XML(Extensible Markup Language), which is good for representing hierarchical information. XML gives us some flexibilities to correct and maintain cases. We make a prototype system, PPSS(Project Planning Support System) that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP implementations. The object of the system is to support project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP. We hope the result of the study can be applied to other information systems. Our research would be extended to cover other stages of project planning.

  • The task for chromosome analysis and diagnosis by experienced cytogenetists are being concerned as repetitive, time consuming job and expensive. FOr that reason, chromosome analysis system based on knowledge base for CAI had been established to be able to analyze chromosomes and obtain necessary advises from the knowledge base instead of human experts. That s to say, knowledge base by IF THEN production rule was implemented to a knowledge domain with normal and abnormal chromosomes, and then the inference results by knowledge base could enter the inference data into the database. Experimental data were composed of normal chromosome of 2,736 patients'cases and abnormal chromosomes of 259 patients'cases that have been obtained from GTG-banding metaphase peripheral blood and amniotic fluid samples. The complete system provides variously morphological information by analysis of normal or abnormal chromosomes and it also has the advantage of being able to consult with user on chromosome analysis and diagnosis.

콜센터 상담원의 감성지능, 조직시민행동과 IT활용능력이 직무 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구 : 상담원의 경력 비교 (An Exploratory Study on Effect of Call Center Representatives' Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Citizenship Behavior and IT Utilization Ability on Job Performance : A Comparative Analysis by Representatives' Career)

  • Corporations look for their competitiveness in many different areas, and one of them is customer call center, which provides professional, special service to the customers. The importance and the value of realization of customer satisfaction at each call center have become significant as it plays a leading role and is responsible for customer recreation and follow-up services. This study held in-depth interviews with 3 groups of professional call representatives (categorized by experience) from popular property and life insurance companies in Korea who operate in and outbound calls. Three variables, emotional quotient, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and IT utilization skill, were selected and it was observed how these variables affect the job performance of in and outbound call center representatives. The importance of the relationship between the variables and the key factors in the future direction of improvement of the call center representative organization was analyzed. Emotional quotient refers to the ability to recognize and use the emotion of oneself and others. It was considered it would be effective in enhancing the counseling ability of call center representatives, This study identifies the effect of emotional quotient on job performance and organizational citizenship behavior, which is defined as actions outside of normative roles in the organization. Also, the study aims to prove the effect of emotional quotient on the rapidly developing IT utilization ability in relation to job performance. As a result, it was found that service career (3 months, 3 years, 10 years) had a significant effect on the key factors that affect the organization-emotional quotient, IT utilization skill, and OCB. Especially for OCB, it was considered relatively less important to the new employees, while it greatly affected the job performance, rate of settlement, and sustainment of the working life for those with longer experience. Also, the result of the interview for each variable differed by the service career. Emotional quotient, IT utilization skill, and OCB were close connection for the representatives with longer experience than for those with shorter experience. And the level of intimacy of their relationship with job performance was in proportion to the years of service. Thus, to secure stability for the call center representatives and enhance their job performance continually, the importance of emotional quotient and IT utilization skill shall be reflected in the operation process actively. In particular, in order to lead a organization with outstanding culture, a management system shall apply OCB from the recruitment process.

작은도서관 순회사서 직무환경 개선방안 연구 (A Study on Improving Strategies of Itinerant Librarians' Job Environment at Small Libraries)

  • 작은도서관은 양적으로 꾸준히 증가해 온 반면 인력 부재와 운영 부실 등 질적 성장에 대한 부분이 문제점으로 줄곧 지적되어왔다. 이에 공공도서관과 작은도서관의 연계와 협력 기반 구축을 목표로 2010년부터 작은도서관 순회사서 사업이 추진되었고, 그 규모는 지속적으로 확장되고 있다. 그러나 인력 부재와 운영 부실 문제는 여전히 해결되어야 할 과제로 남아있고, 순회사서의 열악한 처우와 직무환경은 개선되지 않고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 순회사서가 경험하는 작은도서관의 문제점과 직무상 문제 상황들을 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 순회사서의 직무환경을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 선행연구 분석을 통해 작은도서관과 순회사서에 대해 알아보고, 순회사서와 작은도서관과 관련된 참여자를 대상으로 심층 면담을 수행하였다. 면담자료 분석을 통해 '업무권한 부족', '업무 매뉴얼 부재', '소통, 커뮤니티 부재', '통합 운영 체계 미비', '열악한 처우 및 근무환경', '업무 환경 미비', '악성 이용자', '소속감 부재로 인한 고립감' 등 총 17개 의미 주제를 추출하였고, 이를 업무, 조직, 환경, 정서, 사회, 제도 등 6가지 요인으로 범주화하였다. 이를 바탕으로 순회사서의 직무 권한 및 기준 규정 정비, 커뮤니티 조직 구축, 고용안정성 보장, 직무교육 강화 등 4가지 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

Evolution of Integrated Management Systems for Smart Library

  • For a library to be able provide information services and fulfill its function as a knowledge convergence center capable of responding to various information demands, the development of next-generation information systems based on the latest information and communication technology is needed. The development of mobile information services using portable devices such smart phones and tablet PCs and information systems which incorporate the concepts of cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service), annotation and Library2.0 is also required. This paper describes a library information system that utilizes collective intelligence and cloud computing. The information system developed for this study adopts the SaaS-based cloud computing service concept to cope with the shift in the mobile service paradigm in libraries and the explosion of electronic data. The strengths of such a conceptual model include the sharing of resources, support of multi-tenants, and the configuration and support of metadata. The user services are provided in the form of software on-demand. To test the performance of the developed system, the efficiency analysis and TTA certification test were conducted. The results of performance tests, It is encouraging that, at least up to 100MB, the job time is approximately linear and with only a moderate overhead of less than one second. The system also passed the level-3 or higher criteria in the certification test, which includes the SaaS maturity, performance and application program functions.

환경보건정보 통합관리체계에 관한 연구 (Research on the Integrated Management System of Environmental Health Information)

  • The National Institute of Environmental Research(NIER) launched a research about Framework of Environmental Health Information System for Industrial Complex in 2001, with the goal of finding out measures to establish an integrated management system(IMS) for environmental health information. Based on the research results, NIER started to build integrated information system. The process will continue from 2006 to 2008. As the first step, in 2006, NIER outsourced the job of setting up the specific plan. In 2007, based on the plan created in the previous year, computerization work began. During 2008, the $3^{rd}$ year of the process, the integrated system will be compatible to conventional GIS system and statistics analysis system to deliver funker efficient and useful services. In this vein, the objective of the study is to identify data collection procedure, data utilization, and overall goal of the system. In addition, It will illustrate digitalization process and recommendation about how to utilize the system.

  • 우리의 제안시스템인 mobiAutoBot은 모바일 장치를 지원 가능한 인지 자동화 수준의 로보틱스 프로세스 자동화 소프트웨어의 개념모델이다. mobiAutoBot은 mobiAutoBot controller와 mobiAutoBot runner의 두 부분으로 구성되어 있다. mobiAutoBot controller는 모바일기기에 Job을 지시하고 모니터링 및 연동작업을 수행하며, 모바일기기에 설치된 mobiAutoBot runner는 명령내린 작업을 수행한다. 우리가 제안한 mobiAutoBot을 통하여 모바일기기에 대한 자동화 기능을 중소기업에 제공한다면, 고가의 정보기반 인프라가 없더라도 단순 스마트폰과 같은 모바일기기만으로 기존 정보시스템과 연계 가능한 로보틱스 프로세스 자동화 기능을 저비용으로 구축할 수 있다. 우리의 제안은 모든 정보시스템 인프라를 갖추기는 어려운 중소기업이나 개인 사용자에게도 로보틱스 프로세스 자동화를 확산하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.

해양 유출유 사고 방제 지원 GIS 프로그램 개발 (Building of GIS Program for Controlling Oil Spill Accident)

  • 환경 민감도 정보는 해양 유출유 사고시 효율적이고 신속한 방제 업무를 위한 유용한 정보이다. 유출유에 관련된 환경 민감도 정보의 종류가 다양하기 때문에 방제 현장에서 환경 민감도 정보에 대한 효율적인 접근과 활용 방안이 요구된다. 현장에서의 방제 업무 효율성을 높이기 위해서 환경 민감도 지도를 수치지도로 구축하고, GIS 기술을 이용한 전용 프로그램 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 경기만과 여수 지역을 대상으로 방제 업무 지원을 위한 환경 민감도 정보를 GIS 데이터베이스로 구축하고 GIS 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이를 위해 IMO/IPIECA의 환경 민감도 작성 지침과 해양경찰청의 방제 정보 지도 작성을 위한 정보 수집 지침에 따라 환경 민감도 정보를 수집하고, 환경 민감도 정보 표시 기호의 정의 및 업무 분석을 통한 방제 업무 지원 요소를 추출하였다. 향후 본 프로그램은 전 해역에 대한 환경 민감도 지도 전용 프로그램으로 활용될 수 있으며, 국가 차원의 해양 오염 방제 업무 지원 시스템 구축의 요소 기술로서의 가능성을 기대할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a Inter-Working Function Unit(IWF) has been developed and designed in order to change to advanced subscriber system the Remote Subscriber System(RSS) that is operating with simple services(PSTN Function only). Regarding the cost and the effectiveness, RSS should be connected to Access Subscriber System with PCM cables directly. As this method being used, in the period of Retrofit, the connecting job covering RSS will be handled easily and safely.

  • This paper proposes a new AGV dispatching algorithm which is suitable for heterarchical manufacturing control structure. It is developed on the basis of bidding concept utilizing the information of work-in-process in incoming and outgoing buffers of workstation, and travel time of AGV. Since the bidding functions are functions of two parameters, sensitivity test is performed to find their appropriate values. The performance of the algorithm is compared with those of well-known existing rules in terms of system throughput through simulation on a hypothetical job shop type manufacturing system.
