  • Ensuring occupational radiation exposure(ORE) as low as is reasonably achievable(ALARA) has been one of very important requirements in a nuclear power plant. It is well known that about 70 percent of occupational dose has incurred from maintenance jobs in the outage period. To reduce occupational dose effectively, the high-dose jobs in the outage period should be identified with their dose reduction potentials and methods. In this study, a PC-based ORE database program, INSTORE, is developed to evaluate ORE doses in individual jobs, and the ORE data of Kori Units 3 and 4 are assembled to the database. Based on customary job classification, radiation work is classified into 26 main jobs which comprise 61 detailed jobs, and occupational doses are assessed according to each detailed job. As a result, high-dose jobs are identified with dose reduction priority in terms of collective ORE dose. It is recommended that adeqaute dose reduction methods for these jobs should be prepared to improve their working conditions and procedures.

  • Objectives: The aim of this study is to review occupational hygiene activities, including work environment measurement as required by the industrial safety and health laws of Korea, and suggest improvements required to establish an effective exposure surveillance system. Methods: The controversial limitations of exposure surveillance examining the work-association of several types of cancers in semiconductor workers were reviewed. Results: The bulk of the exposure surveillance system was found to focus purely on work environment measurements without providing other important exposure surrogates, such as job title, operation, exposure duration, etc. The current work environment measurement system is limited in terms of the efficient assessment of the exposure status of workers due to a lack of exposure information. Conclusion: The introduction of a national standard classification of occupations and job titles into the exposure and health effect surveillance system should be discussed in order to retrospectively assess exposure characteristics.

  • Many countries around the world using ICT technologies have various technologies to keep pace with the 4th industrial revolution, and various algorithms and systems have been developed accordingly. Among them, many industries and researchers are investing in unmanned automation systems based on AI. At the time when new technology development and algorithms are developed, decision-making by big data analysis applied to AI systems must be equipped with more sophistication. We apply, Pearson's correlation analysis is applied to six independent variables to find out the job satisfaction that office workers feel according to their job characteristics. First, a correlation coefficient is obtained to find out the degree of correlation for each variable. Second, the presence or absence of correlation for each data is verified through hypothesis testing. Third, after visualization processing using the size of the correlation coefficient, the degree of correlation between data is investigated. Fourth, the degree of correlation between variables will be verified based on the correlation coefficient obtained through the experiment and the results of the hypothesis test

  • This study intended to identify different level of teacher-efficacy, perception of principals' leadership and peer collaboration as it pertains to a teachers' job stress and job satisfaction in Elementary school. Samples include 1,031 teachers in elementary school from Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) and data were analyzed using Latent Class Analysis(LCA) to identify different patterns of teacher-efficacy and perception of principals' leadership and peer collaboration. Multivariate analysis of variance were employed to identify the influence of predictors for classification of teachers' job stress and job satisfaction among latent classes. The study found three latent classes at risk class, middle-level adaptive class, and adaptive class and results showed that each distinctive class can be identified by some of predictors. Teachers at adaptive class showed higher teacher-efficacy and positive perception of principals' leadership and peer collaboration than teachers at risk and middle-level adaptive class. Also, teachers at adaptive class showed lower job stress and higher job satisfaction than teachers at two other classes. The study suggests that help teachers based on personal profile are effective rather teacher-efficacy and perception of principals' leadership and peer collaboration.

  • This study explored the effect of corporate field teacher and corporate education satisfaction on apprenticeship education satisfaction and student job competency development focusing on NCS job standards and industry-academia-integrated apprenticeship school project group. As a result of the study, satisfaction with corporate field teachers in the electrical, electronic, and food service sectors was found to have a positive influence on improving students' job competency, while satisfaction with corporate education was important in the management, accounting, office, and information and communication sectors. In the analysis by type of project group, the satisfaction of corporate field teachers in the joint practice type and industry-led type had a strong influence on improving job competency, but in the base school type and single school type, corporate education satisfaction had a greater influence on capacity improvement. Therefore, it is necessary to redefine the competencies of corporate field teachers and to establish and implement an industry-academic integrated apprenticeship school operation plan with the relationship between the type of project group and NCS job standard classification.

  • Purpose: This study was to understand the major subjects of the recent nursing research in Nursing administration from keywords. Method: Keywords of journals were extracted and the frequency of the appearance of each key words was sorted by a descending order. Results: A total of 327 key words were used. The most frequently used key words were 'Job satisfaction', 'Organizational commitment', 'Leadership'. Out of them, organizational culture, nursing performance, nursing classification, patient satisfaction, and ethics appeared most frequently in descending order. Conclusion: From the above it can be noted that many nursing administration concepts were handled in the papers. But there were not enough papers on the characteristics of the Nursing administration. It is suggested that in depth research be made on 'Nursing error', 'Nursing informatics', 'Web based learning'.

  • This paper presents an approach for classifying scheduling problems and selecting a heuristic rule to yield best solution in terms of certain performance measure(s). Classification parameters are employed from previous studies on job shop scheduling and project scheduling. Neural network is used for learning and estimating the performance of heuristic rules. In addition, multi-criteria decision making techniques are employed to combine the preferences for each performance measure and heuristic rule for the problems with multi-objectives.

  • The purpose of this research study is to find factors associated with burnout in social workers in public sector. This study examined the impact of social support and job-related tension on burnout of social workers in public sector. A participant of 300 social workers in public sector were recruited from Inchen city and completed the questionnaires during August, 2011. Data were entered into simple regression and hierarchical multiple regression analyses. First, women had a little higher mean score of burnout than men. However, this was not a statistically significant difference. Job Classification and year of work experiences were very important predictors for burn-out of social workers in public sector. Second, there was a strong positive relationship between job-related tension and burnout. Third, there was a strong negative relationship between social support and burnout. As the perception about social support by social workers increased, the level of burnout tended to decrease. Finally, the set of analyses examined the impact of social support after controlling for effects of demographic variables and job-related tension. Perceived social support, job-related tension made a significant contribution in burnout. The results of this research study provide several implications for social work practices. More research is needed regarding the effects of social support and job-related tension on burnout of social workers in public sector. For social works in public sector, supervision from supervisors appeared to have a protective effect against social workers' burnout.
