This paper examines the relationship between working women's health status and working environment. The result of this study is that working women's health is effected on their working environment. The data used in the present study was collected from 7,091 organized women worker by survey conducted in 1987. The independent variables chosen for analysis were job classification, working condition, women workers' characteristics, job satisfaction and health management. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows; First, technical experts had higher health status than other jobs. Manufacturizing workers had lower health status than other jobs. Second, the women who were 20-24 years old, not married and started working at 19 and less year and worked during 3-5 years had lower health status than others. Third, the women who worked bad condition were not healthy. It was bad working condition that working hour was 11-12 per day and did not have holiday and monthly wage was 100,000-200,000 won. Fourth, the women who satisfied the job had higher health status than the women who dissatisfied the job. Fifth, it showed high health status that the women worked the place where health was well managed.

PURPOSE: This study examined the differences between male and female workers by investigating the various factors that affected the workers' abilities to return to work according to the International Classification of Functioning standards. METHODS: We analyzed the personal factor, environmental factor, work performance and participation factor related to ICF according to worker's gender. For this purpose data from the third Worker's Compensation Insurance panel survey conducted by the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service were analyzed. In order to verify the research model, we used frequency analysis, cross analysis to compare the differences between male and female workers according to personal, environmental, work performance, and participation factors and hierarchical regression analysis to identify significant factors affecting job performance. RESULTS: The results, indicate that the level of education, license status, working period, socioeconomic status and employment type of female workers were lower than those of male workers. Factors that have the greatest influence on job performance are grade of disability, status of disability, economic activity status, and instrumental activities of daily living (p<.05). CONCLUSION: It is necessary to provide socially stable employment support and social policy support without discrimination to allow disabled female workers to return to work and maintain their jobs and to study factors influencing job performance further.

In brain computer interface (BCI) system, the most important part is classification of human thoughts in order to translate into commands. The more accuracy result in classification the system gets, the more effective BCI system is. To increase the quality of BCI system, we proposed to reduce noise and artifact from the recording data to analyzing data. We used auditory stimuli instead of visual ones to eliminate the eye movement, unwanted visual activation, gaze control. We applied independent component analysis (ICA) algorithm to purify the sources which constructed the raw signals. One of the most famous spatial filter in BCI context is common spatial patterns (CSP), which maximize one class while minimize the other by using covariance matrix. ICA and CSP also do the filter job, as a raw filter and refinement, which increase the classification result of linear discriminant analysis (LDA).

The period of military personnel service will be phased down by 2014 according to 'The law of National Defense Reformation' issued by the Ministry of National Defense. For this reason, the ROK army provides discrimination education to 'newly recruited privates' for more effective individual performance in the on-the-job training. For the training to be more effective, it would be essential to predict the degree of achievements by new privates in the training. Thus, we used data mining techniques to develop a classification model which classifies the new privates into one of two achievements groups, so that different skills of education are applied to each group. The target variable for this model is a binary variable, whose value can be either 'a group of general control' or 'a group of special control'. We developed four pure classification models using Neural Network, Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine and Naive Bayesian. We also built four hybrid models, each of which combines k-means clustering algorithm with one of these four mining technique. Experimental results demonstrated that the highest performance model was the hybrid model of k-means and Neural Network. We expect that various military education programs could be supported by these classification models for better educational performance.
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced the 11th International Classification System (ICD-11), which classifies game addiction as a disease in 2018. Sin stocks are defined as the companies that have negative addictive properties and are taxed on social costs. If a game disorder is listed in the disease classification system in Korea, it is highly likely that Korean game companies may be considered as sin stocks that causes negative addictive properties and social costs such as the game addiction and the game addiction tax. This suggests that game companies could be newly included in the scope of sin stocks in Korea. In this study, we examine the effect of the inclusion of game companies in the scope of sin stocks on the job preferences of game companies. We found that there is a high level of opposition to the opinion of the listing sin stocks of game companies, and a high degree of addiction and gambling was suggested as the cause of the game companies being classified as sin stocks. We also found that firm value and job preference would be decrease if a game company was classified as sin stocks. The study is meaningful in that it suggests that game companies can be perceived negatively as sin stocks due to the disease code of game disorder, which has recently emerged as a social issue. Also, this study will contribute to the academia and market participants by reporting statistically the effect of the classification of sin stocks in game companies on job preferences for game companies.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure empowerment and to identify factors influencing empowerment. Method: Subjects included 767 clients registered with the customized home visiting health services in Daegu. Data collection was performed from June 3 to July 30, 2011. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression were used in this study. Results: The mean score for total empowerment was 3.01(${\pm}0.28$). In subscales of total empowerment, the score for individual empowerment was 2.97(${\pm}0.36$), the score for interpersonal relationship empowerment was 3.09(${\pm}0.34$), and the score for political-social empowerment was 2.96(${\pm}0.48$). Job, education, economic status, living arrangement, and client classification were significant factors related to total empowerment in these clients. Job, education, economic status, types of health insurance, living arrangement, age, and client classification were significant factors related to individual empowerment, interpersonal relationship empowerment and political-social empowerment. 4.4 percent of the variance in total empowerment can be explained by education and living arrangement (Cum $R^2=0.044$, F=13.207, p<.001). Individual empowerment, interpersonal relationship empowerment, and political-social empowerment can be explained by education, job, economic status, and living arrangement. Conclusion: An empowerment intervention that includes general characteristics of clients is essential to improving empowerment of customized home visiting health care services beneficiaries.
Data mining is the process of discovering hidden, non-trivial patterns in large amounts of data records in order to be used very effectively for analysis and forecasting. Because hundreds of variables give rise to a high level of redundancy and dimensionality with time complexity, they are more likely to have spurious relationships, and even the weakest relationships will be highly significant by any statistical test. Hence cluster analysis is a main task of data mining and is the task of grouping a set of objects in such a way that objects in the same group are more similar to each other than to those in other groups. In this paper system implementation is of great significance, which defines a new definition based on information-theoretic entropy and analyse the analogue behaviors of objects at hand so as to address the measurement of uncertainties in the classification of categorical data. The sources were taken from a survey aimed to identify of job guidance from students in high school pyeongtaek. we show how variable precision information-entropy based rough set can be used to group student in each section. It is proved that the proposed method has the more exact classification than the conventional in attributes more than 10 and that is more effective in job guidance for students.
This paper uses the Korean Labor Panel data to investigate changes in the employment types of male workers following their job changes with the classification of workers into three categories: regular wage workers, non-regular wage workers, and self-employed workers. It also estimates a competing-risks hazard model to analyze the determinants of employment types of workers. The results show that the type of employment of a worker at an immediate previous job has a critical importance in determining his employment type at a new job and that the types of employment at jobs other than the immediate previous job also play some role in determining the type of employment at a new job, although their impact declines as the number of intervening jobs increases. A job loser, who worked as a non-regular worker at his immediate previous job, for example, is considerably less likely to find a regular job, but more likely to get reemployed at another non-regular job than one who worked as a regular worker at his immediate previous job. Similarly, a worker who quit self-employment is much less likely to find a regular job but more likely to restart his own business than one who worked as a regular worker at his immediate previous job. These findings suggest that it is not easy at all for a worker who worked as either a non-regular worker or self-employed worker to become a regular worker, although it might be premature to assert that non-regular jobs or self-employed jobs are dead-end jobs. Another interesting finding of this analysis is that a high unemployment rate lowers a probability of reemployment at either regular jobs or self-employed jobs, but raises a non-regular job reemployment probability, which strongly implies that as labor market conditions become adverse to workers the proportion of non-regular employment can rise rapidly.
Purpose: The CHP program has been evaluated as one of the most successful program in the public health area in Korea. The objects of this study were as follows: 1) to evaluate the job activities of the CHP program, using service contents analysis. 2) to figure out personal factors and the outcome of CHP's activities. Method: Data were collected by sending questionnaires to 130 subjects through the mail from May to December 2003. The response rate was 48.0%. The Data were analyzed by the SPSS WIN program with t test and Pearson correlation coefficient. In using these methods. independent variables are CHP's personal factors (age, experience, certification of specialty) and regional factors (geographical classification, aged population, village workers, cooperation of community leaders, work-conditions), and a dependent variable is the outcome of CHP's job activities. Result: The results of t test analysis show that regional differences between factors are influential in the welfare service, the routine job, and the consultation. As a whole, this is shown that CHPs represent experience, the number of village workers and CHPs living condition of work and most of the categories of jobs that influenced over statistical meaning of differences (t=2.417, p=1.043, t=6.123, p=.004, t=4.309, p=.000). There is a significant positive relation between the routine job and the consultation(r=.455, p=.000), the consultation and the education(r=.461, p=.000). Conclusion: Finally, according to the results of this study, the CHP program should be developed and continue to meet the basic health care needs of the residents in accordance with the philosophy of their own primary health care.
