The Influence of Entrepreneurial Competence and Social Influence on Entrepreneurial Intention (창업역량과 사회적 영향력이 창업의지에 미치는 영향력)

  • The changing nature of work suggests that people may face the prospect of a career choice including of paid employment, non-work and self-employment, of which the latter implies scope for entrepreneurial activity. The goal of this study is to view the impact of entrepreneurial competency, social support, entrepreneurial role model as an affect to increase the entrepreneurial intention of adult with the purpose of a second career choice. Also, the mediating effect of entrepreneurial mentor is verified. As research methodology, a research model and a hypothesis were set based on prior research and the research hypothesis was proven through a structured survey questionnaire. SPSS 24.0 was used for data analysis. Analysis results are as follows: First, out of entrepreneurial competency, job competency and funding capability had a positive effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Second, entrepreneurial role model had a positive effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Third, in the relationship between entrepreneurial competency, social support, entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurship intentions, the mediating effect of mentor had significant job competency→mentor→entrepreneurship intention, funding capability→mentor→entrepreneurship intention, entrepreneurial role→mentor→entrepreneurship intention.

A Study on the Occupational Value and Job Choice Intention of University Students in Healthcare Management (의료경영계열 대학생의 직업가치와 직업선택의도에 대한 연구)

  • This study is a descriptive survey study using a self-reported survey method to find out the job value and intention of career choice of college students in the medical management field. This study was conducted on university students in medical management at three four-year universities located in Busan Metropolitan City. A total of 139 effective questionnaires were used as statistical analysis data. As a result of the analysis, social dedication and stability were significantly displayed in the selection of jobs for hospital administration and administrative positions, and social dedication and stability were significantly displayed in the selection of jobs as medical recorders. In choosing a career as an international medical tourism coordinator, the focus on human relations, maintaining face, and pursuing stability have been significant. Only social commitment was significantly shown in the choice of occupation as a health educator. A comparison of job values according to general characteristics showed that there was a difference in the pursuit of knowledge and social commitment. In the case of grades, there was a difference in social dedication and stability. There was no significant difference in the case of religious or non-religious matters. In the case of economic level, only economic priorities differed. Through this study, we would like to present basic data so that college students in medical management who prepare to take the first step into a professional medical management society can recognize the need for recognition of job value and move in a better direction in choosing a job.

A Study on the Relationship between Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Intention: Focusing on Panel Data Regression Model (창업가정신과 창업의도에 관한 연구: 패널데이터 회귀모형을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intention. This relationship has been conceptually addressed in many previous studies and has been empirically tested. However, this study is different from the previous studies in the following four points. First, we measured entrepreneurial intention by manipulating launching a start-up as a relative concept for employment, which is consistent with the conceptual definition of entrepreneurial intention (i.e. entrepreneurial decision making in the process of career choice). Second, it is distinguished from previous researches in that it uses the question of preference for "action" with regard to job choice. Third, we expanded the opportunity for discussion using the youth panel data of the Korea Employment Information Service. Fourth, the altruistic purpose is included in the category of entrepreneurship. Empirical results showed that intentions of entrepreneurship were stronger when the need for achievement was intense, internal control tendency was intended, risk-taking propensity was sturdy, and autonomous tendency was high. However, innovation and aggressiveness are not statistically related to entrepreneurial intention. On the other hand, the altruistic tendency was found to have a negative correlation with entrepreneurial intention. The results of this study can provide meaningful implications for both private sector investors and government policy makers.

An Analysis of Social Influence on University Students' Job Preferences and Entrepreneurial Intention (대학생의 취업선호도와 창업의도에 관한 사회적 영향관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the reasons for preferring employment and the social influencing factors to improve future entrepreneurial intentions. Especially, this study investigates the influence of social influences such as parents', acquaintances, and individuals' experience of start - ups and employment and entrepreneurship club experiences on career choice of students who prefer employment. For this purpose, qualitative research method was applied to students who selected entrepreneurship career course among college students who completed entrepreneurship education. The results of this study are as follows: stable income, system experience, preference for parents' employment, lack of funds and lack of knowledge on start-ups. In addition, it was found that the intention of start-up is increased according to the experience of start-up of the acquaintance among the social influences of students who prefer employment. The result of this study suggests the methodology and learning direction of entrepreneurship education which can improve entrepreneurship intention and understanding of university students. In addition, this study proposes future research related to entrepreneurship education through empirical analysis.
