  • The electrical properties of Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-based ZnO varistors composed of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-CoO-Cr$_2$O$_3$-Dy$_2$O$_3$- based ceramics were investigated with CoO content in the range of 0.5~5.0 mol%. As CoO content is increased, the average grain size and the density were increased in the range of 9.86~27.22 $\mu$m and in the range of 5.25-5.55 g/cm$^3$, respectively. The varistor voltage was decreased in the range of 235.32~86.01 V/mm due to the increase of average grain size with CoO content. The varistors doped with CoO in the rage of 1.0~2.0 mol% exhibited a high nonlinearity, in which is above 55 in the nonlinear exponent and below 1.5 $\mu$A in the leakage current. Increasing CoO content further greatly decreased the nonlinearity.ity.ity.

  • DC accelerated aging characteristics of Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-based ZnO varistors, which are composed of ZnO+Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$+CoO+Cr$_2$O$_3$+Dy$_2$O$_3$ ceramics were investigated with CoO content in the range of 0.5~5.0 mol%. The varistors doped with 1.0 mol% revealing maximum value(66.61) in the nonlinear exponent exhibited excellent stability, in which the variation rates of the varistor voltage, the nonlinear exponent and leakage current are -1.93%, -10.48%, and 288.79%, respectively, under DC accelerated aging stress, such as (0.85 V$_{1mA}$/115$^{\circ}C$/24h)+(0.90 V$_{1mA}$/12$0^{\circ}C$/24h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$/1$25^{\circ}C$/24h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$/15$0^{\circ}C$/24h). • A time-optimal control law for quick, strongly nonlinear systems like revolute robots has been developed and demonstrated. This procedure involves the utilization of neural networks as state feedback controllers that learn the time-optimal control actions by means of an iterative minimization of both the final time and the final state error for the known and unknown systems with constrained inputs and/or states. The nature of neural networks as a parallel processor would circumvent the problem of "curse of dimensionality".ity".uot;.

  • In this paper we introduce and study a new class of gen-eralized mildly nonlinear complementarity problems for fuzzy map-pings. We use the change of variabes technique to establish the equivalence between the generalized mildly nonlinear complementar-ity problems and the Wiener-Hopf equations. This equivalence is used to suggest and analyze a number of iterative algorithm for solv-ing the generalized mildly nonlinear complemetarity problems.

  • This paper develops a methematical model for growth and exploitation of a schooling fish species using a realistic catch-rate function and imposing a tax on the catch to control harvesting. Fishing effort is assumed to depend on the net revenue. The steady states of the system are determined and their local and global stabil-ity are discussed. Taking the tax as a control variable; the optimal harvest policy is formulated and solved as a control problem. The results are illustrated with the help of a numerical example.

  • In the course of anaerobic storage of excess sludge, odors due to chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide are produced. These odors cause many problems. Many methods have been developed to eliminate odors, but all current methods are not only costly, but also largely ineffective. In this paper, we investigate the process of transformation of sludge microorganism cultures through intense aeration under nutrient-poor conditions, in terms of the selective adjustment and control of microorganism culture. The aerated sludge is subsequently returned to the adjusting pool, where the microorganisms inhibit odors, thus the excess sludge itself will act as an odor inhibitor. The process can be verified in terms of viability, in that the degradation capacity of the sludge was maintained after the intensely-aerated sludge was returned to the treatment system.

  • Horizontally-moving method (HMM) stereoscopic camera has a liner relationship between ver-gence and focus control. We introduced the automatic control method for a stereoscopic camera system that uses the relationship between vergence and focus of an HMM stereoscopic camera. the Automatic control method uses disparity compensation of the acquired image pair from the stereoscopic camera. For faster extraction of disparity information, the proposed binocular dispar-ity estimation method by the one-dimensional cepstral filter algorithm would be investigated. The suggested system in this study substantially reduced the controlling time and error-ratio so as to make it possible to achieve natural and clear images.
