INERTIAL PROXIMAL AND CONTRACTION METHODS FOR SOLVING MONOTONE VARIATIONAL INCLUSION AND FIXED POINT PROBLEMS

  • In this paper, we study an iterative algorithm that is based on inertial proximal and contraction methods embellished with relaxation technique, for finding common solution of monotone variational inclusion, and fixed point problems of pseudocontractive mapping in real Hilbert spaces. We establish a strong convergence result of the proposed iterative method based on prediction stepsize conditions, and under some standard assumptions on the algorithm parameters. Finally, some special cases of general problem are given as applications. Our results improve and generalized some well-known and related results in literature.

Fast Iterative Image Restoration Algorithm

  • In the present paper we propose two new improved iterative restoration algorithms. One is to accelerate convergence of the steepest descent method using the improved search directions, while the other accelerates convergence by using preconditioners. It is also shown that the proposed preconditioned algorithm can accelerate iteration-adaptive iterative image restoration algorithm. The preconditioner in the proposed algorithm can be implemented by using the FIR filter structure, so it can be applied to practical application with manageable amount of computation. Experimental results of the proposed methods show good perfomance improvement in the sense of both convergence speed and quality of the restored image. Although the proposed methods cannot be directly included in spatially-adaptive restoration, they can be used as pre-processing for iteration-adaptive algorithms.

Finite element analysis of vehicle-bridge interaction by an iterative method

  • In this paper, a new iterative method for solving vehicle-bridge interaction problems is proposed. Iterative methods have advantages over the non-iterative methods in that it is not necessary to update the system matrix for a given wheel location, and the method can be applied for a new type of car or bridge with few or no modifications. In the proposed method, the necessity of system matrices update is eliminated using the equivalent interaction force acting on the bridge, which is obtained iteratively. Ballast stiffness is included in the interaction forces and the geometric compatibility at the contact points are used as convergence criteria. The bridge is considered as an elastic Bernoulli-Euler beam with surface irregularity and ballast stiffness. The moving vehicle is modeled as a multi-axle mass-spring-damper system having many degrees of freedom depending on the number of axles. The pitching effect, which is the interaction effect between the rear and front wheels when a vehicle begins to enter or leave the bridge, is also considered in the formulation including extended ground boundaries having surface irregularity and ballast stiffness. The applicability of the proposed method is illustrated in the numerical studies.

  • 공액 경사법을 이용한 정칙화 반복 복원 방법에 관하여 논하였다. 기존의 반복 복원 방법에 비하여, 공액 경사법을 이용한 반복 복원 방법은 초선형적인 속도로 해에 수렴한다는 장점을 지닌다. 그러나, 이와 같은 성질로 인해 잡음과 흐려짐현상으로 훼손된 영상을 복원하는 과정에서 잡음의 증폭이나 파문현상과 같은 결합을 갖게된다. 본 논문은 구속 조건을 적용한 정칙화 공액 경사법을 제안한다. 정칙화 공액 경사법에 정칙화 구속 조건과 정칙화 변수를 적용함으로서, 영상에서 윤곽 부분의 평활화없이 파문 현상을 감소시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 가산 잡음의 증폭을 억제할 수 있다는 장점을 지닌다. 실험 결과를 통하여 기존의 정칙화 반복 복원 방법에 비해 본 논문에서 제안한 방법이 수렴비에 우수함을 증명하였다.

  • In this research, we study a modified relaxed Tseng method with a single projection approach for solving common solution to a fixed point problem involving finite family of τ-demimetric operators and a quasi-monotone variational inequalities in real Hilbert spaces with alternating inertial extrapolation steps and adaptive non-monotonic step sizes. Under some appropriate conditions that are imposed on the parameters, the weak and linear convergence results of the proposed iterative scheme are established. Furthermore, we present some numerical examples and application of our proposed methods in comparison with other existing iterative methods. In order to show the practical applicability of our method to real word problems, we show that our algorithm has better restoration efficiency than many well known methods in image restoration problem. Our proposed iterative method generalizes and extends many existing methods in the literature.

반복적(反復的) 역산법(逆算法)에 의(依)한 중력자료(重力資料)의 해석(解析)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Interpretation of Gravity Data by using Iterative Inversion Methods)

  • This paper presents results of interpretaton of gravity data by iterative nonlinear inversion methods. The gravity data are obtained by a theoretical formula for two-dimensional 2-layer structure. Depths to the basement of the structure are determined from the gravity data by four interative inversion methods. The four inversion methods used here are the Gradient, Gauss-Newton, Newton-Raphson, and Full Newton methods. Inversions are performed by using different initial guesses of depth for the over-determined, even-determined, and under-determined cases. This study shows that the depth can be determined well by all of the methods and most efficiently by the Newton-Raphson method.

High Performance Hybrid Direct-Iterative Solution Method for Large Scale Structural Analysis Problems

  • High performance direct-iterative hybrid linear solver for large scale finite element problem is developed. Direct solution method is robust but difficult to parallelize, whereas iterative solution method is opposite for direct method. Therefore, combining two solution methods is desired to get both high performance parallel efficiency and numerical robustness for large scale structural analysis problems. Hybrid method mentioned in this paper is based on FETI-DP (Finite Element Tearing and Interconnecting-Dual Primal method) which has good parallel scalability and efficiency. It is suitable for fourth and second order finite element elliptic problems including structural analysis problems. We are using the hybrid concept of theses two solution method categories, combining the multifrontal solver into FETI-DP based iterative solver. Hybrid solver is implemented for our general structural analysis code, IPSAP.

수직다물체시스템의 반복정밀도 향상에 관한 연구 (Research for Improvement of Iterative Precision of the Vertical Multiple Dynamic System)

  • An extension of interaction matrix formulation to the problem of system and disturbance identification for a plant that is corrupted by both process and output disturbances is presented. The teaming control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task, based on experience performing this task. The simplest forms of loaming control are based on the same concept as integral control, but operating in the domain of the repetitions of the task. This paper studies the use of such controllers in a decentralized system, such as a robot moving on the vertical plane with the controller for each link acting independently. The basic result of the paper is to show that stability and iterative precision of the learning controllers for all subsystems when the coupling between subsystems is turned off, assures stability of the decentralized teaming in the coupled system, provided that the sample time in the digital teaming controller is sufficiently short. The methods of teaming system are shown up for the iterative precision of each link.

Rural Postman Problem 해법을 위한 Iterative Local Search 알고리즘 (An Iterative Local Search Algorithm for Rural Postman Problems)

  • 본 논문에서는 Rural Postman Problem(RPP) 해법을 위한 Iterative Local Search(ILS) 알고리즘을 제안한다. ILS 알고리즘은 초기해를 여러 번 생성하여 탐색 시작점을 달리하는 방법으로, 초기해의 설정 방법에 따라 알고리즘의 성능이 크게 좌우되는 Local Search(LS) 알고리즘의 단점을 보완할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 LS 알고리즘과 ILS 알고리즘을 18개의 RPP 문제에 적용하고 그 성능을 분석한다. 실험 결과에서는 ILS 알고리즘이 각각 다른 탐색 시작점에서 해 공간을 탐색함으로서 LS에 비해 좋은 해를 찾을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study an iterative technique for solving quasimonotone split variational inequality problems and fixed point problem in the framework of real Hilbert spaces. Our proposed iterative technique is self adaptive, and easy to implement. We establish that the proposed iterative technique converges strongly to a minimum-norm solution of the problem and give some numerical illustrations in comparison with other methods in the literature to support our strong convergence result.
