The purpose of this study is to emphasize the importance of the safety and health ability to safely protect body in a risky situation in infancy, but due to the lack of a valid test tool for measuring infant safety knowledge, measure the safety and health knowledge of infants. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, opinions of education experts and early childhood education experts were collected, and suitable factors for measuring safety and health knowledge of children aged 3-5 years were extracted. The measurement questions developed based on this were surveyed on 186 children aged 3-5 years old to verify the relevance of the question composition and the reliability of the contents. In the distribution of the item response, values of 0.8 or less were deleted, and items with a correlation of r<.40 or less were also deleted, and the reliability test showed more than .70. After exploratory factor analysis, it was developed into 23 questions in 3 areas. The total score of safety and health knowledge for the final question and the degree of correlation were above .80. The tool for measuring child safety and health knowledge developed in this study was confirmed to be appropriate for item discrimination, item reliability, and content validity, and thus will be used as basic data for measuring child safety and health knowledge. After the early childhood safety and health education program is implemented, Further research should verify the effectiveness of the early childhood safety and health program.

Floating debris was recorded from a training ship, #1 Kwarnksan, of Pukyong National University with about 10 knots speed during March, May and July of 1997. The area sampled is the Southeastern Coast of Korea, divided into 40 unit segments on survey routes. Debris fabrication materials were categorized using the following ; man-made or natural wood items, paper, cardboard, nylon rope, netting, styrofoam and plastics, floating metal and glass containers. All identified items within a $100\;{\pm}\;2\;m$ wide band were recorded but ignored if beyond this boundary. The results of distribution and composition of floating debris in the area as follows:1. The quantities of debris during the duration of survey were distributed from 2~605 items per km2. The most obvious trend is the widespread distribution of all debris. 2. The highest densities of all debris were discovered in the coastal waters of Seoimal lighthouse, the southeastern part of Koje island, next near Nakdong estuaries. Especially styrofoam & plastics were observed in 77.4~87.2% of sampled area, next is wood items, 9.1~ 13.5%. And nylon netting & rope, 3.6%, was the third item of pollutant. Others are very small. 3. Compared with the East Coat of Korea, the quantities of all debus in theSoutheastern Sea are 6 times as large as the East Coast. The survey provides a basis for more detailed survey work in the South Sea. Further surveys are being investigated, and from this it is hoped that a much wider coverage can be achieved, perhaps on all sites of the Coast of Korea and contributed to the removal method, finding of sources, stationary area of debris.

Skirts hold an important position in dress culture among various dress forms, being worn by more than half of mu. In this study, Chima is defined as garment for lower part of the body without crotch sewing, contrasting with trousers. The authors classify and compare the formation of the skirts of minority races in Yunnan area, based on Korean Chima, understanding the forms of skirts and examining the composition, color, pattern and material. For the study, the authors investigated 57 pieces of skirts among 341 pieces of minority races dresses from Yunn Nationality Museum collection exhibited at Korea Folk Village in May 2003, and referred to customs materials and photos in various literatures. Skirts in Yunnan area are divided into 6 areas, that is, seamless one-piece skirt area, wrapskirt area and mixed type skirt area. Skirt formation factors from the effect of environment such as climate, lifestyle and means of production were studied, and characteristics, differences and similarities were reviewed. Figure of skirts are studied by compostion, color, material, and technique. By composition, they can be classified based on the similarity to Hanbok (traditional Korean dress). By color, worshipped color and preferred color vary by races and by area. Materials vary in kinds and thickness by area with various climate. By technique, national characteristic patterns are inherited through national traditional dyeing and embroidery. It is not easy to conclude based on single item of skirt, but we suggest that national dresses have been settled through the mutual supplements between the effect of social and cultural exchange such as historical inheritance, geological environment, religion and production activity and the various forms of skirts from changes in shape, color, material and wearing form of dresses.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of nutrition counseling on diabetes management by determining changes in anthropometry and blood components as well as knowledge and practice of diet therapy and nutrient intake in 34 (male 11, female 23) type 2 diabetes patients. The knowledge and the practice of diet therapy, drinking, smoking and exercise were analyzed by questionnaires. Dietary nutrient intake were obtained from the patients by the 1 day 24-hr recall. Blood glucose level and blood pressure were measured before and 3 months after the treatment. The results are summarized as follows: Average weight (p<0.05) and body mass index (p<0.05) were significantly lower post-counseling. Fasting blood glucose levels (p<0.01) and postprandial-2hour blood glucose levels (p<0.01) were also significantly lower post-counseling. In lifestyle changes for self-management the patients showed significantly higher exercise habits post-counseling (p<0.01). Regarding their level of diet knowledge, they showed significantly higher levels post-counseling in six items such as importance of diet therapy for diabetes (p<0.001), principles of diet therapy (p<0.001), nutrient composition of foods (p<0.01), carbohydrate composition of foods (p<0.001), the prescribed calories (p<0.001) understanding food item and exchange units of cereals, grains (p<0.001) and fruits, juices (p<0.001). Regarding their diet practices, the patients showed significantly higher levels of practice post-counseling in keeping within permitted meal size (p<0.001), using food exchange lists (p<0.001), keeping exact meal times (p<0.01), and controling sweet foods (p<0.001). Protein (p<0.05), animal lipid (p<0.05), and vitamin C (p<0.05) intakes were significantly higher post-counseling.

A series of surveys are performed to evaluate the abundance, composition and distribution of marine debris on the sea bed around the Busan port. In order to set up a master plan for the marine environmental pollution the relevant maritime authority must understand how many and w㏊t kinds of marine litters are distributed on the sea bed. At first we planed to survey areas divided regularly according to the coast line but there were many sea going vessels and fishing boats. So we selected and surveyed the around area where there were no sea going vessels or fishing boats. The obtained results are as follows: 1. The mean values of litters in number and weight are 5.8 pieces/㏊. and 3.5㎏/㏊. respectively. 2. The highest density in terms of number are vinyl and plastic item, and in weight are fishing gear and ship articles. 3. The nearer to the shore we surveyed the more we collected in terms of the density of marine litters in number and in weight per hectare. 4. Eel pot, oiled waste, rope, others, other pot and net of fishing gear litters in number were 59.9, 22.7, 7.9, 4.5, 3.1 and 1.9% respectively. 5. There is no relationship between the amount of fish caught and the amount of marine debris.
In this study, we collect water control valves that have had accidents due to existing cracks, etc. are collected, and propose investigation items for strengthening the valve structural safety evaluation through a series of analyzes from valve specifications to physicochemical properties are proposed. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a large variation in the thickness of the body or flange of the valves to be investigated, which is considered to be very important factor, because it may affect the safety of the valve body against internal pressure and the flange connected with the bolt nut. Second, 60% of the valves under investigation had many voids in the valve body and flange, etc. and the decrease in thickness due to corrosion was relatively large on the inner surface in contact with water rather than the outer surface. It is judged that the investigation of depth included voids is very important factor. Third, all valves to be investigated are made of gray cast iron foam, and therefore it is judged that there is no major problem in chemical composition. It is judged that the chemical composition should be investigated. Fourth, as a physical investigation item, the analysis of metal morphology structure seems to be a very important factor for nodular cast iron from rather than a gray cast iron foam water valve with a flake structure. As it was found to be 46.7~68.8% of the standard recommended by KS, it could have a direct effect on damage such as cracks, and therefore it is judged that the evaluation of tensile strength is very important in evaluating the safety of the valve.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the composition of the arbitration costs in ICC Rule of Arbitration and to examine how each item of the costs is determined. Furthermore this author tired to find the principles or criteria deciding which of the party should bear them or in what proportion they shall be home by the parties in Article 31. Thus this author could find three common approaches. First, all of the costs are home by the losing party, or Second, all of the costs are allocated in proportion to the result of award in each case. Third, all of the costs determined by the Court as shared equally by the parties and both parties bear their own costs. But, both parties may include their intention in accordance with the principle of party autonomy. For example if the parties with to ensure that the arbitration costs be shared equally and that the arbitrator make no allocation of costs and fees, the following sentence could be added to the arbitration clause. "All costs and expenses of the arbitrators (and the arbitral institution) shall be home by the parties equally; each party shall bear the costs and expenses, including attorneys' fees, of its own counsel, experts, witnesses and preparation and presentation of its case."
Seasoned laver is the highest consumed item among processed laver foods. However, it easily undergoes quality deterioration during processing and storage by lipid oxidation. The purpose of this study was to develop onion seasoned laver with strengthened functional properties through evaluation of storage characteristics. Proximate composition, color index, acid value, thiobarbituric acid (TBA) production, and sensory evaluation of seasoned laver with 0, 15 and 30% onion powder were analyzed during storage periods of 0, 12 and 24 weeks. The lightness, redness, and yellowness of 30% onion seasoned laver significantly increased according to storage period. The acid value and TBA production significantly increased in control laver without onion powder, with no significant difference in 30% onion seasoned laver according to storage period. Sensory preference of onion seasoned laver was better than that of control laver in terms of taste, texture, and overall acceptability. To sum up these results, seasoned laver with 30% onion powder showed superior color degree, acid value, TBA production and sensory preference in proportion to added amount.
Objective : We analyzed the published and contributed manuscripts of the journal of Oriental Internal Medicine in 2001. Methods : We analysed 120 manuscripts contributed to the editorial board of Journal of Oriental Internal Medicine from January to December 2001. Each manuscript was reviewed by three judges, was reviewed by two editors of the board and who took notes on the coding sheet. The variables of surveying were yes or no of acceptance, total scores, score of each 9 item, the number of writers and institutes, and languages. Statistical methods were used such as descriptive analysis, independent samples t test, ANOVA, multiple composition, multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results : THe odds ratio in vivo, in vitro study for clinical study were 5.15(95% CI 1.93-13.71), and case series or case-control study for case report were 3.78(95% CI, 1.28-11.19) Conclusions : Although in vivo, the in vitro study had more possibility of acceptance to publish than the clinical study, we should identify that these results are assuming high inter-reviewer reliability.

KTX train system is composed of TORNAD* network for transmitting information of train's internal equipments and OBCS which proceed information within train. OBCS of one trainset consisted of 28 equipments takes intelligent and dynamic composition according to equipment handling, train command and control flow. Each OBCS which is installed within trainset handle and supervise mutually action information about equipments, transmit it to driver to transmit information about train operation and preventive management. This mutual supervision and information transmission use KTX TORNAD* network system. TORNAD* network system is the one which is uniquely developped by GEC ALSTHOM, the KTX trainset manafacturing provider and this field is excluded from technical know-how transfer item. Through the research on analysis method of KTX TORNAD* system data structure which is operating on Seoul-Pusan Line, I hope that this thesis can contribute to train network system's standardization after applying it to improvement of train network system maintenance, enhancing quality of train service and applying it to future Korean rolling stock network system development.
