We provide another proof that the signed count of the real J-holomorphic spheres (or J- holomorphic discs) passing through a generic real configuration of k points is independent of the choice of the real configuration and the choice of J, if the dimension of the Lagrangian submanifold L (fixed point set of involution) is two or three, and also if we assume L is orient able and relatively spin. We also assume that M is strongly semi-positive. This theorem was first proved by Welschinger in a more general setting, and we provide more natural approach using the signed degree of an evaluation map.

Ultrasonographic appearance of the normal involution process of the porcine postpartum uterus was examined. Six, sows were used to determine the normal Ultrasonographic appearance of the involution postpartum uterus. Ultrasonographic examinations were performed daily from days one through eight, then on days 15 and 21 postpartum. Ultrasonographic the mean local uterine wall thickness was 12.00 mm on day one postpartum. By day 15 the mean total uterine wall thickness was about 7.21 mm and on day 21 postpartum the uterus was about 6.12 mm. From one day to five days postpartum, intraluminal contents were isoechoic to the endometrium. From 15 days to 21 days, the luminal 7ont7llts were of mixed echogenicity compared to the endometrillm.

Let R be an associative ring with involution * and ${\alpha},{\beta}:R{\rightarrow}R$ ring homomorphisms. An additive mapping $d:R{\rightarrow}R$ is called an $({\alpha},{\beta})^*$-derivation of R if $d(xy)=d(x){\alpha}(y^*)+{\beta}(x)d(y)$ is fulfilled for any $x,y{\in}R$, and an additive mapping $F:R{\rightarrow}R$ is called a generalized $({\alpha},{\beta})^*$-derivation of R associated with an $({\alpha},{\beta})^*$-derivation d if $F(xy)=F(x){\alpha}(y^*)+{\beta}(x)d(y)$ is fulfilled for all $x,y{\in}R$. In this note, we intend to generalize a theorem of Vukman [12], and a theorem of Daif and El-Sayiad [6], moreover, we generalize a theorem of Ali et al. [4] and a theorem of Huang and Koc [9] related to generalized Jordan triple $({\alpha},{\beta})^*$-derivations.

The aim of this paper is to deal with the realization problem of a given Lagrangian submanifold of a symplectic manifold as the fixed point set of an anti-symplectic involution. To be more precise, let (X, ω, µ) be a toric Hamiltonian T-space, and let ∆ = µ(X) denote the moment polytope. Let τ be an anti-symplectic involution of X such that τ maps the fibers of µ to (possibly different) fibers of µ, and let p₀ be a point in the interior of ∆. If the toric fiber µ^-1(p₀) is real Lagrangian with respect to τ, then we show that p₀ should be the origin and, furthermore, ∆ should be centrally symmetric.

Objective: Orchastric changes in the mammary glands are vital, especially during lactation. The secretary epithelial cells together with the supporting myoepithelial and stromal cells function cordially to secrete milk. Increase in the number of luminal epithelial cells and a decrease in adipocytes are visible during lactation, whereas the reverse happens in the involution. However, an early involution occurs if the epithelial cells transdifferentiate towards adipocytes during the lactation period. We aimed to inhibit the adipocyte transdifferentiation of luminal cells by restraining the peroxisomal proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) pathway. Methods: Linolenic acid (LA) and thiazolidinediones (TZDs) induced adipogenesis in mammary epithelial cells were conducted in monolayer, mixed culture as well as in transwell plate co-culture with mammary myoepithelial cells. Results: Co-culture with myoepithelial cells showed higher adipogenic gene expression in epithelial cells under LA+TZDs treatment. Increase in the expressions of PPARγ, CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein α and vimentin in both mRNA as well as protein levels were observed. Whereas, bisphenol A diglycidyl ether treatment blocked LA+TZDs induced adipogenesis, as it could not show a significant rise in adipose related markers. Although comparative results were found in both mixed culture and monolayer conditions, co-culture technic was found to work better than the others. Conclusion: Antagonizing PPARγ pathway in the presence of myoepithelial cells can significantly reduce the adipogenisis in epithelial cells, suggesting therapeutic inhibition of PPARγ can be considered to counter early involution or excessive adipogenesis in mammary epithelium in animals.

The effects of Sheng Hua Tang (SHT) on uterine involution and ovarian activity were investigated in postpartum dairy cows. SHT (70 g) was given to dairy cows (n = 10) to evaluate its effects for five days from the first postpartum day. Postpartum cows fed with a basal diet without SHT were used as the control group (n = 10). Ultrasounds and blood tests were recorded for four weeks from postpartum day seven with a 3-d interval. The results showed that the areas and diameters of endometria were significantly (p<0.01) reduced in the group that received SHT compared to the control group on the seventh postpartum day. The group that received SHT had an intrauterine fluid volume mean of $1.2{\pm}0.6cm^3$, which was significantly lower than that of the control group, $2.3{\pm}0.8cm^3$ (p<0.01) on the 13th postpartum day. In addition, the uterine tension score was a mean of $1.0{\pm}0.0$ in the group that received SHT, which was also significantly lower than that of the control group, $1.5{\pm}0.5$ (p<0.01) on the 19th postpartum day. Taken together, the Chinese herbal medicine remedy, SHT, promoted uterine involution and ovarian activity in postpartum dairy cows.
