  • This paper presents algorithms to evaluate reliability of distribution power system taking into consideration customer interruption cost. Customer interruption cost is considered as one of the valuable index to estimate reliability of the distribution power system from customer situation. Also, this paper estimate evaluation results regarding the reliability of distribution power system using a sample model system. Finally, evaluation results of unserved energy and system interruption cost based on customer interruption cost are shown in detail.

  • This paper presents the basic design technology on the hybrid type GCB(gas circuit breakers) through the test results. The three type hybrid interrupters according to the arrangement of the thermal expansion chamber and the puffer cylinder(they are called 'serial type', ' parallel/exchanged type ,' and ' parallel/separated type ' respectively in this work) were designed and manufactured and then the tests of operating characteristics and interrupting were performed using a simplified synthetic test facility. The interruption capability with the type and the opening speed and the pressure rise which is required to interrupt were examined. The change of pressure rise with the number of interruption was given quantitatively and therefore the pressure rise can be predicted. Finally, it was shown that the interruption capability tends to increase with the increasing of opening speed in the puffer type; however, the hybrid type interrupter has a different interruption characteristic.

  • As the power industry moves towards open competition, there has been a call for methodology to evaluate power system reliability by using customer interruption costs. This paper presents an evaluation of interruption costs by industrial customer type in Korea using customer survey methodology. When various research results are examined, the customer damage survey methodology becomes much more generalized. Especially, in the case of industrial customers, it is known that the evaluation by customer damage survey is more useful. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer damage survey method to evaluate interruption costs by industrial customer type in Korea considering interruption and customer characteristics.

  • Power interruption is a phenomenon that no voltage is displayed over a short time or long time. Most devices will not operate normally when the supply voltage is low or does not exist. However, the device can also be operated with a different power which is ensured by a separate power generation. Recently, power interruption has been reduced gradually by the improvement of electricity quality, its duration also has been very short. Induction motors are widely used for the pumping in the water and sewage facilities and power plant applications. The pump is used as a machine for moving the fluid in the high place from a low location. So pump equipment always have a potential energy. If a momentary interruption occurs, the potential energy of the pump is reversed as that of water turbine and motor is operated as generator. This study is an analysis for the voltage variation, current, torque and power flow by the generating operation of the induction motor before and after the change of momentary interruption.

  • As the power industry moves towards open competition, there has been a call for methodology to evaluate distribution power system reliability by using customer interruption costs. Accordingly, it is increased for methodology to evaluate distribution power system reliability in power supply zones under competitive electricity market. This paper presents algorithm to evaluate system average interruption duration index. expected energy not supplied and system outage cost taking Into consideration failure rate of distribution facility and industrial customer interruption cost. Also, to apply this algorithm to evaluate system outage cost presented in this paper, distribution system of a dual supply system consisting of mostly high voltage customers in industrial complex in Korea is used as a sample case study. Finally, evaluation results of system interruption cost, system average interruption duration index and expected energy not supplied in sample industrial complex area are shown in detail.

  • This paper discusses the analysis of arc conductance in a gas circuit breaker (GCB) during current interruption process and the investigation method of the interruption capability. There are some limitations in the application of the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for the implementation of an arc model around the current zero, despite the fact that it gives good results for the high-current phase arc. In this study, we improved the accuracy in the analysis of the interruption performance by attempting the method using CFD and a mathematical arc model. The arc conductance at 200 ns before current zero (G-200ns) is selected as the indicator to predict the current interruption of the Short Line Fault (SLF). Finally, the proposed method is verified by applying to the actual circuit breakers which have different interruption performances.

  • Markovian 신호의 간섭(interruption)하에서 Stop­-and-­Wait ARQ protocol을 적용한 패킷 데이터 다중화기의 성능을 분석한다. 시스템 모델을 살펴보면 입력 프로세스는 Poisson 프로세스로, 출력 채널은 연속되는 시간 슬롯(slot)으로 분할되고 데이터 패킷은 이 슬롯 시간 동안에 전송된다. 이 시스템에서, 프레임 시간은 왕복 지연 시간으로 정의되었다. 이 모델에서 출력 채널은 Markovian 간섭에 의해 데이타 전송이 중단되는 blocking state와 간섭이 없는 non-­blocking state로 구분된다. Markovian 간섭신호를 고려하면서, 2개의 연속적인 프레임이나 slot사이에 버퍼 상태에 관한 관계식을 고려하여 전체적인 시스템이 분석되었다. 분석된 자료 값이 시뮬레이션과 비교적 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.

병동간호사의 간호업무중단이 업무부담과 환자안전문화인식에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Work Interruption on Workload and Perception of Patient Safety Culture in Ward Nurses)

  • Purpose:This study aimed to identify the effect of work interruption that influenced workload and perception of patient safety culture on ward nurses. Methods: Participants were 184 ward nurses, with more than 12 months of work experience, from two tertiary hospitals in S city. A descriptive correlational study design was used. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis via SPSS version 27.0. Results: The results showed that general wards nurses had a higher degree of work interruption (t=5.632, p<.001) and workload (t=3.603, p<.001) compared to comprehensive nursing care service wards nurses. More interruption in nursing work caused more burden on work (γ=.440, p<.001) and led to lesser perception of patient safety culture (γ=- .199, p=.007). Finally, the regression analysis showed that work interruption had a statistically significant relevance on nurses' workload (F=20.582, p<.001) and perception of patient safety culture (F=8.792, p<.001). Conclusion: To alleviate ward nurses' work interruption and decrease the negative effect on workload and perception of patient safety culture, it is necessary to mediate nurse staffing level and the number of assistants and utilize the environment.
