  • The packet loss problem that occurs in the mobile multicast (MoM) protocol due to designated multicast service provider(DMSP) handoff is investigated through simulation experiments for several DMSP selection policies. Then, two enhanced DMSP schemes are proposed to minimize the packet loss of the MoM protocol with single DMSP. The first scheme uses a backup DMSP and greatly reduces the packet loss rate at the expense of the increased network traffic. The second scheme utilizes the extended DMSP operation and shows many desirable features such as the almost zero packet loss rate and relatively low network traffic.

  • Recently, a market size for IT outsourcing has grown. As internet technology has been developed for accessing information resources, information systems have become internet-based, which is called an ASP(Application Service Provider); evaluating the performance for ASP becomes important. Therefore, this paper attempts to investigate the salient characteristics of ASP. An ASP success model is proposed based on information systems success models found in the literature. Our model is tested through a survey from 291 small companies. LISREL is used to demonstrate the suitability of our model, and the success factors for ASP are also investigated. Our result is likely to help provide useful guidelines for the successful ASP implementations.

  • The Cloud Computing is growing rapidly in the current IT industry. Cloud computing has become a buzzword in relation to Grid & Utility computing. It provides on demand services to customers and customers will pay for what they get. Various "Cloud Service Provider" such as Microsoft Azure, Google Web Services etc. enables the users to access the cloud in cost effective manner. However, security, privacy and integrity of data is a major concern. In this paper various security challenges have been identified and the survey briefs the comprehensive overview of various security issues in cloud computing. The classification of security issues in cloud computing have been studied. In this paper we have discussed security challenges in cloud computing and also list recommended methods available for addressing them in the literature.

  • Every CP has its own contents classification system for charging. Currently most classification system is based on the CPID and Service ID of the WAP. An service ID from a common CPID pool is provided to CP for each service. Then charges are computed for each service ID. But in this system CPID range must be changed whenever the CP adds a new service. Therefore all CPIDs of the existing services must be updated. Another problem is that when a CP provides several services, it has multiple CPIDS. Therefore with increasing number of services CPID would be exhausted in the future. In this paper, we proposes a new contents ,classification system. We remove CPID range and instead we propose a new CPID composed of a system n, service classification ID and a serial number. The new CPID is assigned to each service. By this scheme we improve the contents classification system.

  • The Rich Communication Service(RCS) is a next generation mobile messaging service. Since it has been developed and managed by a wireless service provider, 3rd party application developers cannot utilize the RCS features in their apps. A few studies have been proposed to solve this problem, even though they were not viable level of deployment. This paper presents a Web-based Rich Communication Service Software Framework(WebRSF) to help the 3rd party application developers adopt RCS features easily. WebRSF converts complicated RCS protocols to simple web-based protocols for providing the RCS 1-to-1 chat service to the 3rd parties. Communication protocols between WebRSF and its clients are defined in this paper. Also, a network configuration diagram and a message flow diagram are defined. Finally, performance evaluation between the WebRSF client and the RCS client are performed to simulate the load on clients' devices. It shows that the WebRSF client has 17% less loads than the RCS client while initiating sessions, and has 25% more loads after initiating sessions.

  • The Next generation network may describe one integrated network by IP (Internet Protocol) convergence and combining various access technologies. The IP version 6 (IPv6) becomes fundamental protocol and the terminal offered various services is having mobility, multihoming, and intelligent as well as smaller. In this convergence network, which integrate mobile network, broad cast network, and Internet as well as PSTN, can provide all of the service. In this context, we will briefly present that the end node should be required ubiquitous computing and networking. That is to say that we must guarantee the end node in any time, my place, my where, and offer continuously services to the node. As like this, Service Mobility is given if a user can obtain subscribed and personalized services consistently even if connected to a foreign network service provider. In other words, Service mobility allows users to maintain access to their services even while moving or changing devices and network service providers. In this paper, we have to refer technical consideration items to make the service mobility framework.

  • As knowledge is now being distributed and shared through the Internet not only in the form of text but also in that of video, UCC (User Created Content) knowledge video sharing services have emerged on the Internet such as Instructables.com. This paper deals with a UCC knowledge video service in real world and reports the case of analyzing its customer model. The knowledge video sharing service can be considered as both a kind of discontinuous innovation, which requires knowledge provider's technical ability of creating and editing UCC video, and a value network, which matches UCC providers and consumers therefore brings network effect, we first adopt the Chasm theory as the base of the customer model and refine the customer model referencing the Technographics, which is also an Internet-refinement of the Chasm model. Finally, non-customer analysis of Blue Ocean strategy is applied for exploring potential customers of the service.

  • Recently, with the advance of computing and networking technique, the high speed internet becomes widespread, however, it is still hard job to do streaming the media which requires high network bandwidth over the internet. Previous researches for streaming over the internet mainly proposed techniques that controls the QoS(Quality of Service) of the media in proportion to the network status. Though, this could be the solution for the service provider while the service user who wants constant QoS may not satisfy with variable QoS. In the paper, we propose a network adaptive prefetching technique, NAP, for guarantee of constant QoS. The NAP prefetches frames by increasing the frame transmission rate while the available network bandwidth is high. The NAP uses the prefetched frames to guarantee the QoS while the available network bandwidth is low. The experiment result shows that the proposed NAP could guarantee the constant QoS by prefetching the frames adaptively to the network bandwidth with the characteristic of video stream.

In the paper, we propose a network adaptive prefetching technique, PAP, for guarantee of constant QoS. The PAP prefetches frames by increasing the frame transmission rate while the available network bandwidth is high. The PAP uses the prefetched frames to guarantee the QoS while the available network bandwidth is low and increases the playout interval to prevent buffer underflow. The experiment result shows that the proposed PAP could guarantee the constant QoS by prefetching the frames adaptively to the network bandwidth with the characteristic of video stream.
