A Secure and Efficient Cloud Resource Allocation Scheme with Trust Evaluation Mechanism Based on Combinatorial Double Auction

  • Cloud computing is a new service to provide dynamic, scalable virtual resource services via the Internet. Cloud market is available to multiple cloud computing resource providers and users communicate with each other and participate in market transactions. However, since cloud computing is facing with more and more security issues, how to complete the allocation process effectively and securely become a problem urgently to be solved. In this paper, we firstly analyze the cloud resource allocation problem and propose a mathematic model based on combinatorial double auction. Secondly, we introduce a trust evaluation mechanism into our model and combine genetic algorithm with simulated annealing algorithm to increase the efficiency and security of cloud service. Finally, by doing the overall simulation, we prove that our model is highly effective in the allocation of cloud resources.

  • The development of e-commerce made a great effect on all the aspect of marketing mix. Especially, marketing stimuli of Halfplaza.com, excessive price discounts and auction by order of arrival, spread out gradually in internet shopping mall industry. The study showed that excessive price discounts combined with auction by order of arrival increased consumer's perceived value, but decreased perceived risk. In conclusion, legal protections must be established since consumers tend to be vulnerable to various marketing mix of deceptive e-commerce players.

Spectrum Allocation based on Auction in Overlay Cognitive Radio Network

  • In this paper, a mechanism for spectrum allocation in overlay cognitive radio networks is proposed. In overlay cognitive radio networks, the secondary users (SUs) must first sense the activity of primary users (PUs) to identify unoccupied spectrum bands. Based on their different contributions for the spectrum sensing, the SUs get payoffs that are computed by the fusion center (FC). The unoccupied bands will be auctioned and SUs are asked to bid using payoffs they earned or saved. Coalitions are allowed to form among SUs because each SU may only need a portion of the bands. We formulate the coalition forming process as a coalition forming game and analyze it by game theory. In the coalition formation game, debtor-creditor relationship may occur among the SUs because of their limited payoff storage. A debtor asks a creditor for payoff help, and in return provides the creditor with a portion of transmission time to relay data for the creditor. The negotiations between debtors and creditors can be modeled as a Bayesian game because they lack complete information of each other, and the equilibria of the game is investigated. Theoretical analysis and numerical results show that the proposed auction yields data rate improvement and certain fairness among all SUs.

  • Recently, studies have been conducted to improve the m-commerce process in the NFC-based mobile environment and the increase of the number of smart phones built in NFC. Since authentication is important in mobile electronic payment, FIDO(Fast IDentity Online) and 2 Factor electronic payment system are applied. In addition, block-chains using distributed raw materials have emerged as a representative technology of the fourth industry. In this study, for the mobile gallery auction of the traders using NFC embedded terminal (smartphone) in a small gallery auction in which an unspecified minority participates, password-based authentication and biometric authentication technology (fingerprint) were applied to record transaction details and ownership transfer of the auction participants in electronic payment. And, for the cost reduction and data integrity related to gallery auction, the private distributed director block chain was constructed and used. In addition, domestic and foreign cases applying block chain in the auction field were investigated and compared. In the future, the study will also study the implementation of block chain networks and smart contract and the integration of block chain and artificial intelligence to apply the proposed method.

  • Most of current internet auction systems are single auction server program that partly automates the function of the conventional auction house. So these systems do not provide sufficient independence, distribution and parallelism between the functions of the conventional auction house. In these suction systems, only some of suction management facilities are automated by the server program, but still users need to execute a repetitive task to monitor the dynamic progress of a certain auction, decide the proper bid price, and submit the bid. Another problem is that they support only the single auctions such as English suction and Dutch auction, but they do not support the double auctions that are superior to the single auction in terms of speed, efficiency, and the fair distribution of profit. In this paper, we present are design and implement of an agent-based continuous double auction system, called CoDABot, in order to overcome the limitations of current auction systems. CoDABot supports the continuous double auction, provides various bidding agents for users to select, and has been implemented with a multi-agent system to realize more independent, and parallel subsystems.

  • 웹 상에서 인터넷 경매시스템은 일반적인 경매처럼 상품을 제시하고 그 상품에 대해 경매 입찰자가 입찰(bid)을 제시함으로 해서 최종적으로 경매 시간 내에 가장 높은 입찰을 제시하는 경매 입찰자에게 상품이 낙찰되는 형식이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 사용자 인터페이스 부분에 있어서 편리성을 고려하지 않을 뿐만 아니라 경매 참여자에게 지속적인 입찰제와 확인 등의 여러 가지의 사용자 행위를 요구함으로 인해 전자상거래의 고객 편의를 위한 One-step processing을 만족시키지 못하고 있다. 미시건 대학의 AuctionBot 시스템은 미국의 대표적인 인터넷 경매 시스템으로 여러 형태의 경매를 수용할 수 있다는 면에서 장점을 가지고 있지만 사용자를 위한 지능적인 에이전트를 이용한 사용자 인터페이스 부분은 거의 고려하지 않은 시스템이므로 사용자의 편의성 면에서 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 지능적 에이전트를 이용해 사용자가 상품 정보를 경매 서버로 보내면 에이전트가 자동적으로 사용자를 위해 모든 처리를 해주는 경매 시스템을 구현하여 기존에 사용되었던 일반적인 경매 시스템의 단점을 보완하여 효율적인 입찰 가격 정책을 이용한 경매 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 구매자의 수에 의해 가격이 결정되는 공동구매형태의 경매 형태를 제안한다. 제안한 경매 형태에서의 입찰자가 입찰 금액을 제시하여 적절한 낙찰자를 구별하는 형태의 일반적인 경매 형태가 아닌 입찰한 수에 의해 판매자가 제시한 가격 곡선에 의해 낙찰 금액이 정해지는 형태이다. 이러한 형태는 기존의 판매자와 관계가 1:1의 일반적인 경매 형태가 아닌 판매자와 구매자의 관계가 1:n 또는 n:n의 형태가 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 공동구매 형태의 경매 형태를 에이전트 기법을 이용해 시스템을 구성하였으며, 각각의 에이전트는 Perl을 이용해 CGI(Common Gateway Interface)로 구현하였다.

  • To access massive and various HTML documents that are in the web using wireless Internet equipments, another WML document that is equal to the HTML document must be written. In the case Web documents written by HTML are massive, the construction of a WML site with the same information needs much cost of space and time. This paper designs and implements the HTML-XML converter that alleviates such a problem. The HTML-XML converter translates the Web document written by HTML to the WML document for portable wireless equipments. The HTML-XML converter has advantages that it reconstructs WML document dynamically according to portable wireless equipments and processes various image formats such as GIF, JPG, BMP, and so on. The HTML-WML converter can be used as not only a utility of the WML editor but also a real time converter on wireless internet.

  • The main purpose of this study is to statistically analyze the difference between Korea and Japan's consumer attitudes towards e-commerce through the use of auction websites. Here are the results. First, there was a significant difference between the Korean user's attitude and the Japanese user's attitude towards Internet usage; especially, the Japanese user's attitude towards convenience showed a much higher degree than that of the Korean user. Second, Korean users preferred brand image to price, while Japanese users preferred price to brand image. Third, both the Korean users and the Japanese showed a positive relationship between Internet usage and the use of e-commerce. In contrast to the Korean user's frequent use of the bulletin board, Japanese users tended to use the bulletin board less frequently.
