제철원료 관련 요인과 BCI 간의 정보전이 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spillover Effect of Information between Factors Related to Steel Materials and BCI)

  • The Baltic Capesize Index (BCI), which is used as an indicator for marine transportation of steel raw materials, is one of the key economic indexes for managing the risk of loss due to rapid market fluctuations when steel companies establish business strategies and procuring plans for raw materials. Still, the conditions of supply and demand of steel raw materials has been extremely affected by volatility shocks from drastic events like the financial crisis such as the Lehman Brothers incident and changes in the external environment such as COVID-19. And, especially since the 2008 financial crisis, endeavors to predict the market conditions of the steel raw material is becoming more and more arduous for the deepening uncertainty and increased volatility of BCI, which has been used as a leading indicator of the real economy. This study investigates the correlation between the steel raw material market and the marine transportation market by estimating the spillover effect of information between markets. The vector error correction model (VECM) was used to analyze information transfer based on the correlation between the BCI and crude steel production, capesize fleet supply, raw material price, and cargo volume.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 B2C 전자상거래 촉진요인과 온라인쇼핑시장 및 해외직접구매와의 상관관계를 분석함으로써 물류기업들의 물류운영전략 수립에 시사점을 제공하는데 있다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통하여 B2C 전자상거래 촉진요인을 도출하고, 전자상거래 촉진요인과 국내 온라인쇼핑 및 해외직접구매와의 인과관계를 실증 분석함으로써 B2C 전자상거래 시대 우리나라 택배서비스기업들의 과제 및 성공적 물류운영전략을 제안하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 B2C 전자상거래 촉진요인들이 국내 온라인쇼핑거래액 및 해외직접수입 실적에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 두 가지 ARDL 모형을 설정하였다. 모형의 분석결과, 신용카드 이용건수, 가구당 처분가능소득, 환율, 실질GDP, 정보통신 부문 설비투자, 초고속인터넷가입자수, 인터넷 프로토콜 IPV4 보유수, 15세 이상 인구 등의 변수가 종속변수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 온라인 모바일 기술 및 국민들의 경제수준이 고양됨에 따라 B2C 전자상거래 기업 및 물류기업들은 최적의 택배 물류서비스 수행을 위한 고도의 전략적 접근이 필요한 시점이다.

청도 보세항구의 발전방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development Strategy of Qingdao Bonded Port in China)

  • With the rapid development of global economy and trade, international logistics has made great progress in the past few years. As an irreplaceable part in China's foreign trade industry, ocean shipping, especially. ports management has played a crucial role in the development of China. In 2008, The Qingdao Qianwan bonded port was built in China, and has developed in to a door to connect China to the world. This paper introduced and compared the similarities and differences among the Yangshan Bonded Port, Dalian Dayawan Bonded Port, Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Port and Qingdao Bonded Port. According to SWOT analysis, a further discussion was then made on the potential problems of Qingdao Bonded Port. At last, some development strategies are given accordingly.

  • 세계 각국은 저탄소 녹색성장을 미래의 신성장동력으로 설정하고, 다양한 노력을 경주하고 있다. 이에 우리나라도 녹색성장을 전국가적인 최우선 정책과제로 설정하고, 다양한 정책을 추진하고 있다. 우리나라가 추진하고 있는 녹색성장의 경우 몇 가지의 정책을 중점적으로 추진하고 있다. 우선 우리나라가 추진하고 있는 녹색성장은 부가가치를 창출하고, 국가의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위한 녹색 산업 육성에 중점을 두고 있다. 녹색성장은 삶의 양식 전체의 전환을 통해 추진됨을 고려할 때 보다 균형 있는 시책의 추진에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 다른 하나는 중앙정부 주도의 정책추진에 무게가 실리고 있다. 정책의 기획이나 수립은 중앙정부의 주된 영역이라고 할 수 있지만, 녹색성장 정책은 결국 지역에서 실현된다고 볼 때, 중앙정부와 각 지역의 적절한 정책 조율 또한 다른 나라에서 볼 수 없는 우리나라만의 주요한 특징이라고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 녹색성장의 특성과 녹색물류의 추진 실태를 분석하고, 녹색물류의 정부 지원 정책을 연구하여 정부의 정책 지원에 대한 검토와 이에 대한 대안을 제시함으로써 우리나라의 녹색물류의 추진전략을 개발하고자 함이다.

  • 물류의 흐름을 배제한 CALS/EC는 있을 수 없다. CALS/EC에서도 거래의 최종단계는 고객이 요구하는 상품 또는 서비스를 전달하는 것이기 때문이다. CALS/EC를 이용한 물류정보화가 물류 문제 해결에 도움을 줄 수 있고, 전자상거래의 활성화를 가로막는 물류 문제를 분석하기 위해 새로운 환경에서의 물류 요구의 변화를 분석하였다. 전자상거래와 물류정보화 활성화와 관련하여, 전자상거래 등 산업활동의 정보화 추이를 고려한 물류체계의 고도화, 산업전반의 물류정보화 촉진을 위한 법 제도의 개선, 물류산업전반의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 규제개혁 추진, 전자상거래 활성화률 위한 통관체제의 개선 등이 필요하다.

중국효과와 해상/항공 복합운송 (China Effect and Sea/Air Intermodal Transport in Korea)

  • 우리나라가 중국발 해상/항공화물 운송을 발전시켜 복합운송시장의 우위를 점한다면 중국교역의 물류거점지역으로 자리를 잡을 가능성이 있다. 이에 따라 본고는 중국경기가 해상 및 항공물동량에 미치는 효과를 통해 새로운 운송체계의 필요성을 제기하며, 우리나라 해상/항공 복합물류의 특성과 현황을 살펴본 후 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 먼저 이동회귀분석 통해 해상물동량과 항공물동량 모두에서 경기계수가 시간의 흐름에 따라 작아지고 있으며, 해상물동량의 경우가 항공물동량보다 더 빠르게 중국경기의 영향력이 감소하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 중국경제의 성장과 물동량 증가가 우리나라 해상물동량과 항공물동량 증가로 이어지는 구조가 악화될 수 있음을 나타내고 있다. 앞으로 새로운 운송체제의 구축이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 해상/항공 복합운송의 활성화를 위해 해상/항공 복합운송 잠재수요의 파악 및 마케팅, 중국내 면허자격의 완화와 교차물류단지와 조성, 한 중간 해상운송시간의 단축, 통관시스템의 개선, 국적항공사의 항공기 스페이스 확보와 저렴한 운임을 제시하였다.

전자무역 플랫폼의 이용현황 분석과 서비스 고도화 방안 (A Study on the Service Improvement through the Analysis of Current Status of e-Trade Platform Usage)

  • In order to implement e-trade infrastructure through the radical innovation of trade process, e-trade platform which is called 'uTradehub' has been developed for three years. After pilot operation of this platform in 2007, the formal service of e-trade such as logistics, customs and foreign exchanges had been provided in 2008. However, the usage of e-Trade platform is not the level of users' satisfaction because trade-related communities have not actively participated into e-trade platform and several functions with users requirements are necessary to develop additionally. In this regard, there are strong demands to suggest some strategies for application and usage proliferation of e-trade platform. Therefore, this paper would like to evaluate the current status of e-trade platform service and usage by the theoretical consideration of preceding researches and practical analysis of statistical data. Then, it will explore several service improvement ideas in terms of system supplementation and integration, electronic documents standardization, radical change of using fee, global connection, user oriented education and advertisement.

A Suggestion for the Strategic Choice of Seoul to be a Network Center in Northeast Asia

  • The East Asian Region has experienced remarkable economic growth and transformation of interurban networking over the past three decades, and urban competiti veness for a networking hub in this region has become a critical issue confronting cities. Competitiveness of the Seoul capital region for a networking hub in Northeast Asia is outstripped by other competing cities in East Asia, notwithstanding its geo-politically and geo-economically advantageous location in this region. In this paper, we aim to appraise the Seoul capital region's competitiveness in terms of logistics distribution, financial function and logistics distribution, financial function and agglomeration of transnational corporations (especially of RHOs and other managerial functions), and to advance the networking strategies of the region for a Northeast Asia hyb. As a result of analysis, we suggest that the Seoul capital region be developed as a Northeast Asian center for regional headquarters or leading global corporations and financial services for being a strategic nodal point in Northeast Asia in the 21st century. A recent survey shows that where to locate an RHQ is influenced by various factors, such as potential market and manufacturing site in the city's hinterland, quality of life, such things as culture, health, safety, education, a well-educated, English-speaking population, reliable air transport, state-of-the-art communications, and an active policy to offer foreign companies generous incentives. The Seoul capital region, which is located at a strategic nodal point advantageous as a springboard for its Northeast Asian hinterland, cannot meet the other conditions mentioned above. To overcome these drawbacks in attracting transnational capital and to create competitiveness as a strategic hub of RHQs in Northeast Asia, it is urgent to initiate a structural reform of the Korean economy, politics, and overall society, to minimize the regulation of FDI, and to provide various incentives for foreign investment. Moreover, we propose the construction of an 'International Business Town' in the Seoul capital region, as a medium to intermediate these strategies and to shape them in a spatial scale. The projected 'International Business Town(IBT)' will be a 'free city' open to international business in which liberal economic activities are guaranteed by special legislation and administration, infrastructures needed for international and improved accessibility to the airport are furnished, and the preference of foreign high-income investors for cultural and living environment are satisfactorily met. IBT is conspicuously differentiated from a raft of other cities' incentives in that it combines deregulation and incentive programs to attract the investment of transnational capital, with a spatial program of offering an urban environment preferred by the high-income investors for cultural and living environment are satisfactorily met. In conclusion, 'International Business Town', in line with other legislative and administrative incentive programs, will function as a driving force to make the Seoul capital regional more competitive as a regional business hub in Northeast Asia.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the characteristics of marketing strategy on the SPA(Specialty store retailor of Private label Apparel) brand. This research can be used as information for the domestic SPA brand to enhance its international competitiveness. The characteristics of marketing strategy on the SPA brand are as follows. 1. One company integrate vertically the process of planning, production, promotion and distribution. 2. As using the advanced information, productions, and logistics systems, they are carried out speedy management. 3. The production strategies are focused on providing new goods of fast cycle and very diverse styles in a season, developing products that accurately reflect the general market trend and consumer demands, extending the line of goods, outsourcing of the place to reduce production costs. For high-quality goods, they are collaborating with the famous designers and developing of new and green environment materials. 4. Generally, the SPA brand emphasizes the low price strategy against the quality. 5. The promotion strategies are focused on conducting various unique and high sensible VMDs, fashion shows, star marketing, campaigns, aggressive publicity, magazine & outdoor advertisement and various events through the internet website, etc. 6. The place (distribution) strategies of SPA brand are focused on launching into global, expanding number of stores, increasing large-sized stores and diversifying the forms of store and selling.

Managing maritime automobile terminals: an approach toward decision-support model for higher productivity

  • The article describes actions and strategies to obtain higher productivity on maritime automobile terminals. The main focus is on elaboration of efficient and effective organizational structure to model and implement short-term, mid-term and long-term strategies. In addition, with an empiric approach we combined the analyses of current findings in important scientific papers and our acknowledgments in practical research of north Adriatic maritime automobile terminals. The main goal is to propose actions towards increasing system's productivity. Based on our research of the north Adriatic maritime automobile terminals and with Lambert's model an in-deep analysis of limiting factors, user's expectations and possibilities for productivity increase has been performed. Moreover, with our acknowledgments a three-level decision-support model is presented. With an adequate model implementation it is possible to efficiently develop and implement different strategies of productivity measurement and productivity increase, especially in the fields of internal transport productivity, entrance/exit truck gates operations and wagon manipulations. According to our observation a significant increase might be achieved in all three fields.
