  • From the mid 1990's, the scale of IS had been growing, which resulted in increasing number of failure projects. As a result, the measurement of IS performance was a growing concern. Moreover, the need for research on the relation between IT investment and performance that isfd the concern of CEOs has been raised. In this study, the correlation between the IS functionality and investment was discovered based on the IS success model suggested by DeLone & McLean(1992), a business information system evaluation model by Lee Kuk Hie(1992), a balanced score card by Kaplan & Norton(1992). As a result of the LISREL analysis, the investment in the IS has a positive impact on the quality of both information systems and information. In turn, the quality of both information systems and information have a positive impact on the end-user satisfaction, the end-user satisfaction on the financial performance, customer satisfaction, and internal business processes. This study showed that sufficient investment in IS improved business performance

  • Assessment of APC has focused on large size, specialization, and structuralization based on business performance. In the future, first, it should be complemented to have correlation with management efficiency. Second, because of the rate of weight for each index, it is necessary to develop a specific index or adjust allotting of marks so that there can be correlation between indexes. Third, since APCs have high values in the composite assessment and low values in the sales amount, it is necessary to develop various kinds of indexes, including the index to evaluate processing value-added, that of customer satisfaction with assessment, and that of customer relationship maintenance performance through introduction of a customer relationship management system (CRM), in pursuit of balance. Lastly, the results of this study are expected to be able to help make APCs efficient in relation to integration of production organizations so that they will convert and develop into a basic product processing center in coping with changes in internal and external environment of agricultural marketing.

  • This study was proceeded with interest on residents' perception of local festival(Boryeong City, Korea) and tried to examine the relation with their participation level and satisfaction. This study used 'festival visiting experience' as moderating variable with the expectation of difference in residents' perception according to visit. This study result indicated that residents can recognize local festival negatively if they feel they have no benefit from the festival even though the festival has many visitors with growing reputation. Also, festival visiting experience has no moderating effect on residents' participation intention in this study. The facts also find that the residents-oriented festival planning and promotion is more important in the partnership with local government and private sector-local residents. Further, it is very important to notice internal customer as well as external customer to ensure residents' satisfaction and participation.

  • Influenza A (H1N1) virus caused a worldwide pandemic in 2009-2010 and still remains in seasonal circulation. Continuous surveillance activities are encouraged in the post pandemic phase to watch over the trend of occurrence every year, this is better to be done by a rapid and sensitive method for its detection. This study was conducted to detect proportions of occurrence of influenza A virus (H1N1) in patients with influenza-like illness. Samples from 500 patients with influenza or influenza-like clinical presentation were tested by real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and virus tissue culture. Among the total 500 participants, 193 (38.6%) were females and 307 (61.4%) males. Seventy-one patients (14.2%) were positive for H1N1 virus infection with real-time RT-PCR while 52 (10.4%) were positive by tissue culture. Non-statistically significant relation was found between age and gender with the positivity of H1N1. Sensitivity and specificity of real-time RT-PCR was 98.08% and 95.54%, respectively, in comparison to virus isolation with accuracy 95.8%. This study showed that H1N1 virus was responsible for a good proportion of influenza during the post-pandemic period. Real-time RT-PCR provides rapidity and sensitivity for the detection of influenza A virus (H1N1) compared with virus isolation and thus it is recommended as a diagnostic tool.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating pathways of emotional regulators in relation to self-conscious negative emotions, including non-suicidal self-harm, guilt, shame, shyness, and internal hostility, further examining the gender difference in the mechanisms. The study subjects of were 652 college students from three universities in J district. Self-report questionnaires on self-harm, self-conscious negative emotions, and emotional control were administered to them. An analysis performed using model 4 of the process macro indicated that self-conscious negative emotions had a significant correlation with self-harming behavior and that this correlation was mediated by the emotional regulation of brooding. These results suggest that negative self-conscious emotions have a significant influence on self-harming behaviors, and brooding reinforces negative emotions then the risk of self-harming behaviors is amplified.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the safety needs and life satisfaction of users of security system. The contents of the questionnaire consisted of "safety need, use satisfaction, life satisfaction". As a result of the analysis, Chronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated as 0.897 for safety needs, 0.888 for use satisfaction, and 0.887 for life satisfaction. The items were found to have internal consistency. In the validation of discriminant validity, both AVE and CR values were found to be 0.6 or more than the reference value of 0.8. The intuitiveness of the variables used in this study was found to be largely secured. As the hypothesis test result, the standardization factor was calculated as 0.993 for 'safety needs ⇨ use satisfaction' and 0.453 for 'use satisfaction ⇨ life satisfaction', and both hypotheses were positive. As a result of the verification, it was analyzed that the higher the user's safety needs, the higher the use satisfaction, and the higher the use satisfaction, the higher the life satisfaction.

  • This study is designed to find out the role and relation of the Nemok-dori support members in order to clearly specify the structure of the Dapogye architecture which adopts the Nemok-dori. The dori at the eaves in the Dapogye architecture was expanded to include Oemok-dori, Jusim-dori and Nemok-dori in cooperation with the bracket. The Oemok-dori is used to lengthen the eaves and the Jusim-dori makes the reasonable transfer of loads while the Namok-dori contributes to the stability of the building through the balancing of the bracket. Nemok-dori is located higher than Oemok-dori or Jusim-dori, depending on the slope of Jangyeon and the distance of Chulmok. But as it is not directly supported by bracket or beam, it needs an independent support. The vertical support of Nemok-dori is selectively involved with Cheomcha, lower Jangyeo, support Wall and upper Jangyeo. As the time went by, the vertical height increased, thus making the omitted members less. The horizontal support of Nemok-dori is made in various ways. There are also special cases such as the Nemok-dori □ type chain structure for small rectangular buildings, the 'Nemok-dori = Jung-dori' type for the buildings having small sides and the 'Nemok-dori = Meongechangbang' type appearing on the lower part of the Bankanmulrim type middle height buildings. The horizontal support of Nemok-dori usually uses either the support of the Toeryang type member, the support of beam directed Hwaban or the support through overlaying of internal Jegong. As the time went by and the number and distance of Chulmok increased, the multiple support structures acted together rather than as one support structure. Nemok-dori got stabilized as it has both the vertical and horizontal supports and this support structure also has he role of decoration.

  • ASEAN marking its 50th anniversary in 2017 draws hopes and concerns. There is hope for the full realization of the vision of ASEAN Community since 2015 while there are increasing concerns about the changing internal and external environments. This article reviews the process of ASEAN's community building and its external relations. First, after reviewing institutionalization and functional cooperation in 2016, it argues that there is increasing pressure for the modification of the 'ASEAN Way' mainly due to the recent political changes in some ASEAN member states. Second, this article considers the nature of ASEAN's external relation focusing on continuity rather than change. The tendency of external relations of ASEAN appears to be 'avoiding conflict' and 'status quo' while it concentrates on development cooperation. We argue that such attitude contributes to the unity of ASEAN as it is useful in searching for regional resilience which is a common goal of ASEAN power elites.

  • Objectives: The major purpose of the study is to examine structural relation among teenager's perception of parenting attitudes, peer attachment, resilience and meaning in life. In order to achieve purpose of the study, we will develop reliable criterion which can measure variable. Method: We will set up structural relational model from relationship between internal and external variables that can influence teenager's meaning in life and we will examine the relationship between variables through structural equation analysis. we will find structural relationship among parenting attitudes, peer attachment, resilience and meaning in life. Results: We analyzed structural relationship among variables targeting 744 middle school and high school students. Teenager's perception of parenting attitudes have positive influence on peer attachment. This shows that teenager perception of fostering attitude have a positive influence even though teenager percepts parent's foster attitude as overprotective or compassionate. However, if teenager percept fostering attitude as overprotective, teenager perception of parenting attitudes doesn't have influence on resilience. Parent's compassionate attitude not only directly influence resilience but also influence resilience through peer attachment. This validates that individual psychological factor, such as how teenager accept and interpret surrounding environment can influence resilience. Peer attachment relationship not only directly influence resilience but also influence meaning of life through resilience. The resilience has direct effect on meaning in life. Conclusions: When one of education goal is to help teenager to find meaning in life and to reach self-realization, We need to have interest in resilience which is known factor for contributing meaning in life. As previous teenager studies has approached this problem, such as maladjustment, delinquency, and depression, it is significant that this study is examined in positive a psychological perspective which focus on healthy adjustment, such as meaning in life based on teenager's resilience and happiness.
