  • The escape theory is the theory of problem behavior such as suicide. The purpose of this study is to investigate the causes of gaming disorder, which has been attracting attention as a typical youth problem, through escape theory. Suicide theory is a process in which the problem triggered by the negative external environment flows into internal attribution and self-criticism, and this leads to a process leading to problematic behavior with disgust self-awareness. This process was applied to the environment, psychology, and behavior of adolescents. As a result, the lack of affection and consistency of the parents resulted in negative external environment, which affected the self-esteem of children by creating a negative external environment. And low self-esteem caused negative emotions, lowered self control, and confirmed to induce game addiction. The results of this analysis show that game addiction has a structure similar to obsessive behaviors such as binge eating and shopping addiction explained through the escape theory model and it is necessary to concentrate more on the environmental psychological factors for game addiction research.

  • Private investment projects have the characteristic of generating profits for a long period of 30 to 40 years, and fluctuations in profits and costs occur over time, so the interaction of variables over time rather than statistical models or discounted cash flows If the system dynamics technique, which enables simulation of the system, is used, it is considered that meaningful simulation results can be derived for internal and external variables. In other words, by establishing a financial feasibility comparison/verification model based on system dynamics for private investment projects in the port sector that have not been attempted before, we compare the differences with the existing cash flow discount method, macroeconomic factors, operating period, social discount rate We will conduct a differentiated study that has not been tried before by simulating how the interrelationships of such variables affect the change in financial performance.

  • The flow characteristics in a stirred tank are very useful in a wide variety of industrial applications. Generally, the flow pattern, power consumption and mixing time in stirred vessels depend not only on the design of the impeller, but also on the tanks' geometry and internal structure. In this study, the analysis of an unstable and unsteady complicated flow characteristics generated by the interaction between the baffle shape and impeller were performed using the ANSYS FLUENT LES Turbulence Model. The study compared the predictions of CFD with the interaction between two types of rotating impellers (axial and radial flows) and the shapes of three baffles. The results of the comparison verified that the design model showed a relatively efficient trend in the mixing flow fields and characteristics around the impeller and baffles during agitation.

  • A pressure relief valve is generally used to prevent piping systems from being broken due to high pressure gas flows. However, the sudden pressure drop caused by the pressure relief valve produces high acoustic energy which propagates in the form of compressible acoustic waves in the pipe and sometimes causes severe vibration of the pipe structure, thereby resulting in its failure. In this study, internal aerodynamic noise due to valve flow is estimated for a simple contraction-expansion pipe by combining the LES (Large-Eddy Simulation) technique with the wavenumber-frequency analysis, which allows the decomposition of fluctuating pressure into incompressible hydrodynamic pressure and compressible acoustic pressure. In order to increase the convergence, the steady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations are numerically solved. And then, for the unsteady flow analysis with high accuracy, the unsteady LES is performed with the steady result as the initial value. The wavenumber-frequency analysis is finally performed using the unsteady flow simulation results. The wavenumber-frequency analysis is shown to separate the compressible pressure fluctuation in the flow field from the incompressible one. This result can provide the accurate information for the source causing so-called acoustic-induced-vibration of a piping system.

  • Now, Korea-U.S.A Free Trade Agreement talk is underway in Korea. In FTA talks, the issues on audio-visual sector including screen quota, opening of broadcasting and telecommunication to the U.S.A. are becoming a hot potato. Globalization has been speed up by mass media and telecommunications. Cultures are no longer bounded by specific place but, through the migration of persons and the electronic flows of information, ideas and images, transgress established boundaries. So issues and debates have to be focused on global culture and cultural imperialism. Some would argue global culture is the consequences of capitalist world-system, so dominance by the center should be criticized and vanished. Some would say that global culture would help recipient society's people with cultural diversify and improvement. The issues on culture and communication, particularly at international level call for our attention in light of cultural identity, homogenization and diversity. Although I criticize the cultural imperialism thesis, I suggest critical acceptance of cultural imperialism. That is the observation of complexity between internal and external dynamics. The process of cultural imperialism is not simple and unitary. It rather involves the various forces of internal dynamics along with external forces.

  • Rotating right cylinder of rigid sloping boundaries(top-bottom) is filled with two-layered fluid. External fluid which has the same density as the lower-layer is pumped through the rim boundary at the bottom, and this induces uniform vertical velocity in the interior that produces the Sverdrup type motion such as southward flowing western boundary current with northward interior horizontal motion. The rigid sloping upper boundary meets with lower layer to simulate so called "polar front", and the upper-layer motion influenced by the lower-layer flow has been observed. Barotropic motion in the western part of the basin while baroclinic motion in the eastern half is always present. In particular, both southward flowing eastern boundary flow and western boundary flow meets near the western wall and it induces northward western boundary flow to separate from the boundary With increased ${\beta}$-effect on the upper0layer the width of western boundary decreases and the separated western boundary flow moves into the interior to form an eddy-like motion. Baroclinic Rosebay wave clearly observed in the easter boundary slowly propagates to the west but it seems to be decayed before travelling to the western boundary. A local topograpic effect imposed on the lower-layer causes very sensitive response of upper layer boundary flows. In the east standing0wave0like features are observed in the west whereas the width of the boundary increases without any evidence of the separation of the western boundary flow. This may be due to the gact that even the lower-lauer barotropic motion feels the topography its influence does not propagate into the upper-layer. With large ${\beta}$-effect on the upper-layer,relatively large scale waves whose wavelengths are greater than the internal radius deformation exist in the interior.

  • Considering that most sewage treatment facilities have a water head of less than 2.0 m and a constant flow rate, the development of a small hydro power generation device capable of maintaining stable power generation and efficiency is urgently needed. In this study, a numerical analysis using the CFD code was carried out to develop a drag force type vertical axis hydro turbine for the improvement of the production efficiency of small-scale hydro energy underlow flow velocity conditions. The blade pressure changes and internal flows were analyzed in the presence or absence of hydro turbine blade holes at a flow velocity of less than 2.0 m/s. The pressure distribution of the hydro turbine blades with holes was found to be about 5.1 % lower than that of the hydro turbine blades without holes. The analysis of the internal flow around the water tank and hydro turbine blade revealed that the flow velocity varied with the vector distribution and that the flow velocity of the hydro turbine blades with holes was 5.6 % less than that of the hydro turbine blades without holes. It is believed that forming a hole in the blade may be helpful for its structural safety.

  • As the cosmetics beauty industry grows into a key next-generation industry, the establishment of an industrialization center is needed, but failure to verify the adequacy and feasibility of the investment could lead to financial burdens. In this study, the project costs and facilities of an industrial center are reviewed to analyze its economic feasibility based on the cost estimates, revenue estimates, estimated profit or loss calculations, and estimated operating cash flows. The profit estimation criteria were analyzed by applying 90 per cent of expected orders for research projects (24 billion won) and 12 per cent of rental rates for testing equipment (4.5 billion won for construction), and the benefit/cost ratio is higher than 1.02 per cent and the net present value is higher than '0' won, and the internal rate of return is also more than 5.06 per cent for all three analytical methods. Therefore, in order for the construction of a cosmetics beauty industrialization center to be economically feasible, it is necessary to maintain research project orders of more than 90 percent and return on equipment rent of more than 12 percent, and a strategic approach is needed to diversify business profits.

  • It is important to ensure a uniform temperature distribution in greenhouses for the mushroom cultivation. The air temperature of the mushroom cultivation greenhouse is made uniform by supplying a constant air temperature with the underground air. The mushroom cultivation array in a greenhouse in seven columns and four rows can make smooth air flows between the rows and prevent air differences between the top and bottom. The buoyancy effect in the entering air of 0.5m/s based on following density difference depending on initial internal temperature needs to be considered. The locations of the Fan Coil Unit (FCU) and fan were defined through flow analysis in a greenhouse to distribute the optimal uniform temperature. In this study, the air conditioning system of a greenhouse with a sandwich heat insulting panel shape which is composed of a FCU and fan was designed by flow analysis. A relatively uniform temperature distribution can be formed because the circulation path of air becomes longer in the different locations of the FCU (inlet) and fan (outlet) through the internal temperature and flow analysis. The cultivation and quality uniformity of the mushrooms could be promoted through these environmental improvements.

  • Background: For the treatment of isolated left main coronary artery disease, twelve arterial revascularizations with Y-composite grafts using left internal thoracic artery and radial artery or right gastroepiploic artery were peformed. This study was performed to investigate whether V-composite graft can satisfy the blood flow required to make myocardium act properly or not. Borderline stenotic lesions on the left main coronary artery, which are very prone to remodel the bypassed vessels due to competitive flows, were also considered. Material and Method: Among 247 patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting from March 2000 to April 2003, 12 patients (4.7%) who had received total arterial revascularizations for the isolated left main coronary artery disease were studied retrospectively. Result: left anterior descending arteries were bypassed with left internal thoracic artery by off-pump technique in all patients, however, 2 cases of left obtuse marginal branches were bypassed under on-pump beating heart. Except for one patient, who did not have an obtuse marginal branch more than 1 mm in diameter, 11 patients had gone through complete arterial revascularizations by use of the Y shape arterial graft. Among five patients who had less than 75% stenosis, one patient showed string sign on left internal thoracic artery grafted to left anterior descending artery. However, two grafts to obtuse marginal blanches were completely obstructed and one showed slender sign. There were no graft-dominant flow in patients with stenotic lesion less than 75%. On the contrary to the result of patients with stenotic lesions less than 75%, all the patients with stenotic lesions more than 90% showed graft-dominant blood flow. Conclusion: In conclusion, it is assumed that, when stenotic lesions are over 90%, coronary artery bypass grafting with an Y shape arterial graft could possibly give enough help to the obstructed coronary arteries in blood supplying to myocardium, which needs massive quantity of blood to act well. However, when patients have borderline stenoses, through scrupulous examinations, more prudent and flexible decisions are required in choosing the treatment methods, such as, direct anastomosis of vein or artery to aorta, or adding supplementary treatment methods like percutaneous coronary intervention, rather than choosing a fixed treatment methods.
