합성 기질에 의해 형성된 Lambda Site-specific Recombination 중간 대사물의 분석 (Analysis of Lambda Site-specific Recombination Inermediates Generated by Synthetic Substrates)

  • Integrase (Int) carries out the cutting and resealing of attachment (att) site DNA via a covalent Int-DNA intermediate. A family of synthetic substrate DNAs was designed to accumulate Int-DNA intermediate. Int-DNA intermediates accumulated by half substrate was analyzed by SDS- KCI precipitation and restriction digestion. The results showed that Int-half DNA intermediate was circular and contained covalently bound Int molecule. Int-DNA intermediates were also trapped with three other kinds of synthetic substrates.

Comparison of explosive compounds (HMX, RDX, and TNT) reduction by micro and nano zero valent iron

  • Reduction kinetics and intermediates behaviour of three high explosives (HMX, RDX, and TNT) were studies in batch reactors using either nano or micro size zero valent iron(ZVI) as reducing agent. The kinetics constants normalize to the mass of iron($k_M$) or to the surface area ($k_{SA}$) were measured and compared along with the changes of intermediate concentrations of each explosive. Results showed that $k_M$ and $k_{SA}$ values neither correlated each other nor explained the behaviour of intermediates of each high explosive in the batch reactor, in which initial intermediates decreased rapidly with nano ZVI treatment whereas the intermediates accumulated and stayed longer in the micro ZVI treated reactor.

Inhibition of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. nicotianae Growth by Phenylpropanoid Pathway Intermediates

  • Fusarium wilt in tobacco caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. nicotianae is a disease-management challenge worldwide, as there are few effective and environmentally benign chemical agents for its control. This challenge results in substantial losses in both the quality and yield of tobacco products. Based on an in vitro analysis of the effects of different phenylpropanoid intermediates, we found that the early intermediates trans-cinnamic acid and para-coumaric acid effectively inhibit the mycelial growth of F. oxysporum f. sp. nicotianae strain FW316F, whereas the downstream intermediates quercetin and caffeic acid exhibit no fungicidal properties. Therefore, our in vitro screen suggests that trans-cinnamic acid and para-coumaric acid are promising chemical agents and natural lead compounds for the suppression of F. oxysporum f. sp. nicotianae growth.

  • Methods of 14C-radio isotope labeling of quinolone intermediates at four different sites are described. 14C-radio isotope labeled quinolone intermediates can be synthesized from 14C-1-malonic acid, 14C-2-malonic acid, 14C-benzene ring. and 14C-trimethyl orthoformate. The major site of 14C-radio isotope labeled quinolone intermediates is from 14C-2-malonic acid. We want to help customers to choose the best way for synthesis of 14C-radio isotope labeled quinolone derivatives. and give a general comprehension for 14C-radio isotope labeled pharmaceutical compounds.   • 콜로이드 식품에서의 단백질의 구조적 안정성을 연구하기 위하여 7개의 BSA structural intermediates, succinylated ${\beta}-lactoglobulin$을 만든 후 CD, 이황화물 결합함량, hydrodynamic radius 등을 측정하여 그 구조적 특성을 규명했다. Refolding time이 길수록 BSA intermediates들은 native BSA 구조에 근접하는 것을 나타냈고 succinylation은 ${\beta}-lactoglobulin$의 순 음전하를 변화시켜 보다 aperiodic structure를 갖게하였다. Perchlorate 존재하 ${\beta}-casein$의 구조는 소수성 상호작용에 크게 영향 받는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 회분식 반응조에서 마이크로(mZVI) 및 나노(nZVI) 크기의 영가 철을 환원물질로 이용하여 고폭화약물질 3종에 대한 환원동역학을 측정하였다. 각 화약류를 이용하여 어미물질에 대한 nZVI와 mZVI의 비표면적 환원상수 $k_{SA}$과 비중량 환원상수 $k_{M}$을 측정한 후, 중간산물의 거동을 비교하였다. 그 결과 두 상수를 사용해서는 nZVI 반응조내 어미 물질과 중간환원산물들의 거동을 완전히 설명할 수 없었다. 화약물질을 mZVI로 처리한 반응조에서는 초기 환원물질인 nitroso-RDXs, nitroso-HMXs 및 hydroxylamino-TNT가 주로 축적되었으나, nZVI로 처리한 반응조에서는 동일한 겉보기 반응속도임에도 불구하고 환원말기물질인 극성중간산물들과 TAT가 축적되었다. 그러므로 중간산물들의 환원까지 고려하는 새로운 매계변수의 개발이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

Flavone의 합성 중간체인 2-Aroyloxyacetophenone류의 새로운 합성법 (Synthesis of 2-Aroyloxyacetophenones as Intermediates for Flavone Synthesis)

  • We have synthesized some 2-(2-benzyloxybenzoyloxy)-and 2-(2,6-dibenzyloxybenzoyloxy)-acetophenones as intermediates for flavone synthesis. The reaction of polyoxygenated 2-hydroxyacetophenones with 2-benzyloxybenzoic acid or 2,6-dibenzyloxybenzoic acid in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide and p-dimethylaminopyridine resulted in a good yield$(70{\sim}89%)$ of 2-(2-benzyloxybenzoyloxy)-acetophenones or 2-(2,6-dibenzyloxybenzoyloxy) acetophenones under milder conditions and in shorter time than the previous methods. This new methods using benzoic acids instead of benzoyl chlorides saves one reaction step of acid chlorination in comparision of the previous methods.

  • Itraconazole은 다양한 항진균 활성을 가지고 있는 매우 중요한 화합물로써 histoplasmosis, blastomysosis의 경구용 항진균 치료제로 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 Itraconazole 중간체 합성에 있어서 합성과정을 개선하고, 또 ltraconazole 중간체의 4-위치의 methoxy기 대신 2-, 3- 위치에 methoxy기를 가진중간체 화합물을 합성하고 이로부터 Itraconazole 유사체도 합성할 수 있었다.

  • The new type of heterometallic chiral polymer salen complexes have been synthesized and it has been found that group 13 metal salts (AlCl3, GaCl3 and InCl3) combined to cobalt salen unit played the crucial role in the asymmetric kinetic resolution of racemic epoxides. Polymeric salen catalysts showed very high reactivity and enantioselectivity for the asymmetric ring opening of terminal epoxide with diverse nucleophiles. They provide the enantiopure useful chiral intermediates such as chiral terminal epoxides and α -aryloxy alcohols in one-step process. An efficient methodology for providing very high enantioselectivity can be achieved in the synthesis of valuable chiral building blocks via our catalytic system by combination of various asymmetric ring opening reactions.

Synthesis of Dibenzoylmethanes as Intermediates for Flavone Synthesis by a Modified Baker-Venkataraman Rearrangement

  • 1-Polyoxyphenyl-3-(2, 6-dioxyphenyl)propane-1, 3-diones have been synthesized as intermediates for flavone synthesis by condensation of 2-(2, 6-dioxybenzoyloxy)polyoxyacetophenone in the presence of phae transfer catalyst. The average yields of 1-polyoxyphenyl-3-phenylpropane-1, 3-diones, 1-polyoxyphenyl-3(2-benzyloxyphenyl)propane-1, 3-diones and 1-polyoxy-3-(2, 6-dibenzyloxyphenyl)propane-1, 3-dions were 79%, 74% and 71% respectively. The bulkiness of the benzyloxy groups or methyoxy gorups exerted steric hindrance and reduced the yield. Nevertheless, the yield were higher than the previously reported ones.
