교육공간에 대한 유니버설 디자인 관점에서의 평가 사례연구(1) - G초등학교 사례를 중심으로 - (A Case Study on Evaluation of Educational Space in point of Universal Design - Focused on G Elementary School -)

  • The demand on design for human diversity is increasing in the field of spatial design. This study evaluated the spatial environment of G elementary school in point of universal design. The study was carried out by the observing and measuring method and the survey method. It focused on 53 universal design related items which consisted of 5 principles; accessibility, supportiveness, adaptiveness, safety, and equality. The subjects for the survey were 170 students from first to sixth grade of G elementary school. Findings were as follows ; 1) The elementary school had many barriers for the wheelchair users to use. 2) The width of door and passage between desks, and the front and back space in classroom were not wide to pass through. Also, the students responded that the size of desk, chair, and individual locker was not enough. That is, Some items of accessibility and supportiveness were not met in classrooms. 3) Most items related to restroom were evaluated negatively by the students. 4) The dining tables were arranged monotonously in a rows. This emphasized the institutional mood. 5) Some evaluations to their school environment were significantly different by their gender and grade.

  • This study evaluated two educational spaces, one middle school and one high school in point of universal design. The survey method with an observation and measuring method was used. The subject were 238 students of a middle and a high school. They evaluated their schools according to 53 universal design related items which consisted of 5 principles. Findings were as follows ; 1) The width of passage between desk and desk was very narrow and there is the threshold at the door of classroom. The students evaluated them negatively, too. Also, they indicated that the size of individual locker was small and the corner of furniture was sharp. 2) The width of door and passage was narrow and the floor was not flat in restroom. The design quality such as color and finishes was not good. Also, the students evaluated all these items negatively. 3) The dining space was too big. That is, so many students takes meals in one big space. The dining tables were arranged in a long rows and the width between them was also so narrow to pass through. 4) The student of high school evaluated their educational environments more negatively than ones of middle high school. This means that the high school students were more dissatisfied with their school environment. The educational environment should be designed on the base of their students' needs.

임의의 점 군 데이터로부터 NURBS 곡면의 자동생성 (Automatic NURBS Surface Generation from Unorganized Point Cloud Data)

  • In this paper a new approach which combines implicit surface scheme and NURBS surface interpolation method is proposed in order to generate a complete surface model from unorganized point cloud data. In the method a base surface was generated by creating smooth implicit surface from the input point cloud data through which the actual surface would pass. The implicit surface was defined by a combination of shape functions including quadratic polynomial function, cubic polynomial functions and radial basis function using adaptive domain decomposition method. In this paper voxel data which can be extracted easily from the base implicit surface were used in order to generate rectangular net with good quality using the normal projection and smoothing scheme. After generating the interior points and tangential vectors in each rectangular region considering the required accuracy, the NURBS surface were constructed by interpolating the rectangular array of points using boundary tangential vectors which assure C$^1$ continuity between rectangular patches. The validity and effectiveness of this new approach was demonstrated by performing numerical experiments for the various types of point cloud data.

고대 로마의 실내 장식벽화가 과학적인 원근법에 미친 영향 연구 (A Study on Effects of Decorative Interior Wall Paintings of the antique Rome on the Scientific Perspective)

  • Under the assumption that techniques of interior decoration often frequently used by people of the antique Greece and Rome became basis for scientific perspective in the period of Renaissance, this study analyzed characteristics of wall paintings excavated as relics of the antique Greece and Rome. The result of the study can be summarized as follows ; (1) Decorative wall paintings which were and have been excavated from relics of the antique Roman cities are characterized by single and multiple point techniques as their perspective. The two techniques were later adapted by people of the Baroque in the 16th century who recognized and expressed space through putting it into a certain framework. (2) Such antique wall paintings drawn using the technique of single point clearly indicate that the technique was not fully created in the period of Renaissance but developed by people of the antique Greece and Rome. Unlike its present form, the technique was unsophisticated and poor in many respects when first created. Since then, it has become manipulated as spatial recognition has been developed in various ways. (3) Illustrations on vase surfaces or wall-decorative painting panels of the antique Greece were painted mainly through the technique of multiple points which helped changes in the sense of space. The technique were later complied with by the theory of cubism which was emerged in the late 19th century. In other words, the technique was developed over times into a basis of the theory. (4) Some of the antique Roman and Greek wall paintings were drawn by using the method of single point perspective. When the height of the wall foundation, 90cm, as specified in [Ten Books of Architecture] by Vitrubius, the viewpoint for the method almost complied with the height of spectators' view, or 150cm. This height is almost same as the height of the view point employed by wall paintings in the Renaissance period.

AN ASSESSMENT OF PARALLEL PRECONDITIONERS FOR THE INTERIOR SPARSE GENERALIZED EIGENVALUE PROBLEMS BY CG-TYPE METHODS ON AN IBM REGATTA MACHINE

  • Computing the interior spectrum of large sparse generalized eigenvalue problems $Ax\;=\;{\lambda}Bx$, where A and b are large sparse and SPD(Symmetric Positive Definite), is often required in areas such as structural mechanics and quantum chemistry, to name a few. Recently, CG-type methods have been found useful and hence, very amenable to parallel computation for very large problems. Also, as in the case of linear systems proper choice of preconditioning is known to accelerate the rate of convergence. After the smallest eigenpair is found we use the orthogonal deflation technique to find the next m-1 eigenvalues, which is also suitable for parallelization. This offers advantages over Jacobi-Davidson methods with partial shifts, which requires re-computation of preconditioner matrx with new shifts. We consider as preconditioners Incomplete LU(ILU)(0) in two variants, ever-relaxation(SOR), and Point-symmetric SOR(SSOR). We set m to be 5. We conducted our experiments on matrices from discretizations of partial differential equations by finite difference method. The generated matrices has dimensions up to 4 million and total number of processors are 32. MPI(Message Passing Interface) library was used for interprocessor communications. Our results show that in general the Multi-Color ILU(0) gives the best performance.

  • 최근 국내 건축경기 불황에 대한 방안으로 리모델링 시장이 신규 유망시장으로 주목받고 있다. 하지만 리모델링 공사를 추진하는데 있어, 도면의 부재나 도면 정보의 부족 등으로 시공에 상당한 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 역설계 기술을 이용한 도면화 기술에 대한 활발한 연구가 진행 중이지만, 현장에서는 역설계 기술의 정확도와 도면화 시간에 대한 정보부족으로 역설계 기술의 사용을 주저하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실험을 통해 역설계 과정 중 3차원 형상 정보를 획득하는데 있어서 포인트 데이터 정밀도에 따른 측정시간과 오차를 분석하여 최적의 포인트 데이터 획득 정밀도를 제안하고자 한다.

  • 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기는 높은 효율과 빠른 동특성, 넓은 정출력 운전 영역 등의 장점 때문에 다양한 산업 분야에서 각광을 받고 있다. 특히 매입형 영구자석 동기기의 단위 전류당 최대 토크(Maximum Torque Per Ampere, MTPA) 운전 방법은 전동기의 최대 효율 운전을 위해서 필수적인 운전방법이 되었다. 이론적인 MTPA 운전점은 전동기의 제 정수에 의해 결정되는데, 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기는 온도와 운전 영역에 따라 전동기 제 정수의 변화가 심하여 정확한 MTPA 운전을 하기 위해서는 전동기의 전 운전 영역에 대한 전동기 제 정수를 미리 알고 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 신호 주입 개념을 도입한 새로운 MTPA 운전 방법을 제안한다. 전류에 높은 주파수의 신호를 주입하여 그 주입된 신호에 의한 반응을 확인함으로 MTPA 운전점을 판별하게 된다. 이 방법은 전동기 제 정수 변동에 강인하며, 간단한 신호처리 과정을 통하여 MTPA 운전을 할 수 있다.

레이레이 계수의 최소화에 의한 내부고유치 계산을 위한 병렬준비행렬들의 비교 (Comparisons of Parallel Preconditioners for the Computation of Interior Eigenvalues by the Minimization of Rayleigh Quotient)

  • 최근에 CG 반복법을 이용하여 레이레이 계수를 최소화함으로써 대칭행렬의 내부고유치를 구하는 방법이 개발되었다 그리고 이 방법은 병렬계산에 매우 적합하다. 적절한 준비행렬의 선택은 수렴속도를 향상시킨다. 우리는 본 연구에서 이를 위한 병렬준비행렬들을 비교한다. 고려된 준비행렬들은 Point-SSOR, 다중색채하의 ILU(0)와 Block SSOR이다. 우리는 128개의 노드를 가진 CRAY-T3E에서 구현하였다. 프로세서간의 통신은 MPI 리이브러리를 사용하였다. 최고 512$\times$512 행렬까지 시험하였는데 이 행렬들은 타원형 편미분방정식의 근사화에서 얻어졌다. 그 결과 다중색채 Block SSOR이 가장 성능이 우수한 것으로 판명되었다.

발전소의 실내 소음관리를 위한 소음 매핑 시스템 개발 (Development of noise mapping system to manage the interior room noise of power plants)

  • 발전소의 실내는 규모가 크고, 위치마다 소음레벨 편차가 매우 크기 때문에 소음관리가 어렵다. 따라서 실내소음을 효과적으로 관리하기 위해서 소음분포를 분석할 수 있는 소음 가시화 시스템이 필요하다. 터빈실 내를 모델링하고, 선정된 지점의 소음레벨을 측정하여 소음지도를 작성할 수 있는 소음 매핑 시스템을 개발하였다. 그리고 모델의 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 소음지도와 실제 소음측정 결과와 비교하는 방법을 통하여 모델을 수정하였다. 소음지도에 대한 정기적인 분석을 통하여 설비 이상을 판단할 수 있고, 특정 지점의 현재와 이전 소음에 대한 주파수 및 레벨을 비교 분석함으로써 실내소음을 효과적으로 관리하는 방법을 제시하였다. 매핑 시스템을 활용하면 근무환경을 개선할 수 있는 소음대책의 수립이 가능하고, 기계의 이상 유무를 확인하고, 예방정비를 통해 설비의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있다.

A Formulation of Hybrid Algorithm for Linear Programming

  • This paper introduces an effective hybridization of the usual simplex method and an interior point method in the convergent framework of Dembo and Sahi. We formulate a specific and detailed algorithm (HYBRID) and report the results of some preliminary testing on small dense problems for its viability. By piercing through the feasible region, the newly developed hybrid algorithm avoids the combinatorial structure of linear programs, and several other interesting and important characteristics of this algorithm are also discussed.
