Recent trends in the construction of building frame feature the use of composite steel concrete members. One of such system, RCS(Reinforced Concrete column and Steel beam) system, is known as a type of system to maximize the structural and economic benefits in the most efficient manner. This paper is focusing on an study of ultimate shear strength estimation of the interior beam-column joints of RCS system, with reinforced concrete column and steel beam. Current design methods as well as the majority of the previous researches for ultimate shear strength of the interior beam-column joint of RCS system are not easy to apply actual manner. There is a need to propose the rational macro models based on analytical approach. In this study, design method variables for interior beam-column joints of RCS system is studied assuming shear resistance of steel web panel, diagonal concrete strut mechanism and truss mechanism. Finally, calculated results based on the proposed design model are compared with test data.

Before the 14th century, China had been thought as one of the countries with the most developed mathematics all along. But after the 16th century, Chinese mathematics increasingly walked up to the eclipse. The main reasons include the following points. First, the development of neoteric mathematics was closely associated with the social industrialization, but the lags in feudal China seriously blocked the development of the capitalistic seed, and China was still in the agricultural society then and couldn't step into the industrial society, which impeded the development of mathematics concerned with the industry and commerce. Second. the increasingly carrion feudalization was one of the essential reasons to block the development of Chinese neoteric mathematics. Finally, seeing about the developing logics of Chinese neoteric mathematics, we can find it was a scattered and experiential mathematical knowledge without strict and rational self-organizing structure system, which had the limitations existing in its interior mechanism.

In modern society which changes from quantity-seeking society to value-seeking one, people's various lifestyles have great effect on consumption patterns and work as an important factor in choosing hotels. The fact that design hotels, which provide unique experiences with differentiated and sensitive designs by reflecting various lifestyles, recently attract attention can be understood in the same context. As a matter of fact, design hotels recently serve as destinations as they become cultural and artistic icons which reflect customer lifestyles. Especially, the designs of lobby spaces in hotels play deciding role in customers' choices while representing the nature of hotels. In this respect, under the premise that the kinds of accumulated experiences are different depending on lifestyles and preferences for specific interior spaces are influenced by association mechanism formed by experiences, this study analyzed lobby spaces of design hotels which focus on specific lifestyles from the perspective of association mechanism based on experiences. As the method of analysis, this study classified the types of lifestyles and conducted case analysis to investigate what association mechanism works to enhance the preference of design hotels by types. Study classified lifestyles into experiential activity type, social meeting type, fashion-pursuing type and hideout-preferring type and analyzed cases of lobby designs in design hotels. The results of this case analysis are as follows; First, experiential activity type mainly utilized quasi-association and approach association through senses and social meeting type utilized quasi-association and memory association through emotions while fashion-pursuing type utilized quasi-association and presumption association through intuition and hideout-preferring type utilized quasi-association and approach association through thoughts. Second, it was found that most lobby designs are characterized by association mechanism in visual formative nature and that in temporal spatial nature working in complex way, and, through such process of association expansion, space stories are created. Stories of spaces created this way become unique identities of design hotels that provide new experiences for customers.

This thesis sets out to study the immanent mechanism of architectural space which had been classified as external space in general. The mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$ could consider one among various immanent tools to deal with the singularity of interior architecture. An imaginary interrelationship between cinema and architecture offers a possibility which a mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$ could be used with a space making equipment. The mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$ is a conscious equipment to lead a meta-function of simple visual-perception. The mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$-space has been supposed to visual-perception cases and conscious cases in interior architecture. In particular, as a result of analysis, it becomes clear that the mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$-space is a kind of something signifer to expose designers's an abyss of conscious and unconscious. In my opinion, this is the very way that the contemporary interior architecture is exposed to its singularity by a mechanism of mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$-space. In conclusion, the psychoanalysis-frame of mise en $sc{\acute{e}}ne$-space has brought out any possibility of an interpretation about architectural immanent themes like a subject, meaning creation, and construction logic, and it has also been useful to reveal the architectural singularity.

1. Objectives This paper is written for clear understanding on the concepts of 'Deep adherence of the Nature' and 'Sudden explosion of the Emotion' and for intensive comprehension of Mechanism of 'The Exterior Disease' and 'The Interior Disease' by The Nature and the Emotion. 2. Methods The study mainly based on "The exterior disease injured by the Nature, the interior disease injured by the Emotion" and deals with 'Seongmyungron, Sadanron, Hwarkchungron and Jangburon'. 3. Results and conclusions The conclusions as follows (1) Exterior Disease in each constitution breaks out by deep adherence of the Nature. Interior Disease brings out with sudden explosion of the Emotion. (2) 'Deep adherence of the Nature' is the state that the Ear, Eye, Nose, Mouth taking care of environmental frames can't work enoughly because of wrong minds on the Jaw, Breast, Umbilicus, Abdment. 'Sudden explosion of the Emotion' is the state that the Lung, Spleen, Liver, Kidney doing human affairs doesn't do appropriately for each constitution due to negative minds on the Head, Shoulder, Waist, Hip. (3) The result that the Ear, Eye, Nose, Mouth doesn't extract the clear energy from 'Jin, Go, You, Yaek sea' so they are lack of 'Shin, Qi, Hyul, Jeong' causes exterior disease in each constitution. (4) In each constitution, Interior disease results from that the Lung, Spleen, Liver, Kidney fails to bring on the clear juice from 'Lee, Mak, Hyul, Jeong sea', so shortage of 'Jin, go, You, Yaek' results in it.

This paper presents detailed analysis of the internal forces of interior beam-column joints of reinforced concrete (RC) frames under seismic action, identifies critical joint sections, proposes consistent definitions of average joint shear stress and average joint shear strain, derives formulas for calculating average joint shear and joint torque, and reports simplified analysis of the effects of joint shear and torque on the flexural strengths of critical joint sections. Numerical results of internal joint forces and flexural strengths of critical joint sections are presented for a pair of concentric and eccentric interior connections extracted from a seismically designed RC frame. The results indicate that effects of joint shear and torque may reduce the column-to-beam flexural strength ratios to below unity and lead to "joint-yielding mechanism" for seismically designed interior connections. The information presented in this paper aims to provide some new insight into the seismic behavior of interior beam-column joints and form a preliminary basis for analyzing the complicated interaction of internal joint forces.

The purpose of this article was to compare 'The Discourse on the Constitutional Symptoms and Disease' of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ written in 1894(Old Edition(舊本)) with that of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ published in 1901(In Edition(印本)), and to find the idea of pathologic mechanism and classification of 'the Exterior and Interior disease'. the conclusions were as follows. 1. The classification of constitutional symptoms and disease of Soeumin and Soyangin in 'Old Edition(舊本)' was almost equal to that in 'In Edition(印本)' 2. In pathological mechanism of constitutional symptoms and disease of Soeumin and Soyangin, 'The Exterior Disease' could be explained as the disease resulted from fight between 'Yang-chi(陽氣)(Hot-chi(熱氣))'of 'Thoracic vertebrae' and 'Yin-chi(陰氣)(Cold-chi(寒氣))' of 'Bladder' and 'The Interior Disease' between 'Hot-chi(熱氣)(Stomach-chi(胄氣))' of 'Stomach' and 'Cold-chi(寒氣)' of 'Large intestine'. 3. 'The Exterior Symptoms and Disease of the Exterior and the Interior Disease(表裏之表病)' could be explained as the disease occurring at the Branch portion(large portion)(標) by overcoming of Pathogenic factors but Vital energy still sufficient, and 'The Interior Symptoms and Disease of the Exterior and the Interior Disease(表裏之裏病)' occurring at Root portion(small portion)(裏) by invasion of Pathogenic factors and Vital energy almost exhausted. 4. In the classification of constitutional symptoms and disease of Taeumin, 'The Exterior Symptoms and Disease of the Exterior and the Interior Disease(表裏之表病)' in 'Old Edition(舊本)' were rearranged to 'The Exterior Disease' in 'In Edition(印本)', 'The Interior Symptoms and Disease of the Exterior and the Interior Disease(表裏之裏病)' to 'The Interior Disease'. 5. It was assumed that 'The Exterior and the Interior Disease' of Taeumin could be explained in relation between the exterior and e interior, based on the Healthy energy(保命之主) and e concept of the Branch and the Root portion

The purpose of this study is to understand interrelation between design thinking system and creativity, and to analyze designer how to develop personal conception and attitude in interior design through the method of analogy for signification. The process of this study is illustrated as follows: 1. Introduction of general theories about analogical grammar and signification of analogy. 2. Investigating possibility of analogy as creative thinking method in interior design for meaning development. 3. Establishment of design process model for analogical design based on the case study through the design field. That is, concept and process of analogical design is shown objectively by application in collective residential design as commercial product strategy. Through this process, this study presents possibility of giving meaning in interior space through consilience between source and target of analogy. Finally, it examines analogical method is major strategy for ideation and mechanism for meaning development in interior design.

In this Paper the noise characteristics of KTX are analyzed in order to study the interior noise mechanism of KTX in slab tracks, which has become an issue since the commercial operating in 2004. The analysis of the interior noise of KTX in tunnel with concrete track shows sharply increased noise level in the range of 80Hz that is the natural frequency of the KIX carbody. The frequency characteristics of noise and acceleration levels of KTX in tunnels are compared to understand the interrelation between the noise inside the vehicle and outside the vehicle in the slat track tunnel. As a noise abatement method, the mud-flap was modified with intend to reduce the noise outside gangway and the interior noise inside the passenger compartment ultimately. The effect of this mud-flap modification on the interior noise is introduced and discussed.

The effect of grain refinement of the strength and ductility of metallic materials is investigated. A model in which a single phase material is considered as an effectively two-phase one is discussed. A distinctive feature of the model is that grain boundaries are treated as a separate phase deforming by a diffusion mechanism. Deformation of the grain interior phase is assumed to be carried by two concurrent mechanism. Deformation of the grain interior phase is assumed to be carried by two concurrent mechanisms: dislocation glide and mass transfer by diffusion. The model was exemplified by simulating uniaxial tensile deformation of Cu down to the nanometer grain size. The results confirm the observed strain hardening behaviour and a trend for reduction of ductility with decreasing grain size at room temperature.
