This study analyzes whether mutual fund distributors are more likely to recommend products with higher sales compensation to maximize their profit. The lists of the 'fund of the month' on their webpages are utilized from April of 2015 to August of 2015. A simple comparative analysis shows that the average sales fees and the average front-end load are significantly higher in the recommended funds among the A share class of domestic equity funds. The results of a regression analysis confirm that funds with high sales compensation levels are more likely to be recommended. This holds true for both domestic equity funds and hybrid bond funds even after controlling for fund age, fund size, and past returns.

This study examined Islamic economy of Malaysia. In this process, Islamic economy was classified two fields such as finance and consumption. In finance, this study focuses on development of Islamic banking, Islamic insurance(Takaful) and Islamic capital market and institutional support of Malaysia. In consumption, this study focuses on halal industry and halal certification system of Malaysia. As a result, two fields of Islamic economy in Malaysia are growing up more systematic and extensive than before. Because interest in Islam finance and style is increasing and government of Malaysia has been giving support to these fields. That is, Malaysia is aimed at global hub of Islamic finance and giving various supports to financial field. Indeed, Malaysia is making effort to internationalization and development of halal industry. From these active supports of Malaysia, Islamic economics of Malaysia will be developed and Malaysia will be a leader of Islamic economy in the world.

Cloud computing has proven its efficiency, especially after the increasing number of cloud services offered by a wide range of cloud providers, from different domains. Despite, these cloud services are mostly heterogeneous. Consequently, and due to the rising interest of cloud consumers to adhere to a multi-cloud environment instead of being locked-in to one cloud provider, the need for semantically interconnecting different cloud services from different cloud providers is a crucial and important task to ensure. In addition, considerable research efforts proposed interoperability solutions leading to different representation models of cloud services. In this work, we present our solution to overcome this limitation, precisely in the IAAS service model. This solution is a framework permitting the semantic interoperability of different IAAS resources in a multi-cloud environment, in order to assist cloud consumers to retrieve the cloud resource that meets specific requirements.

U.S. monetary policy has been claimed to generate global spillover and to destabilize other small open economies. We analyze the effects of certain identified U.S. monetary shocks on gross capital flows in the Korean economy using the local projection method. Consistent with previous results on other small open economies, we initially confirm that U.S. interest rate hikes are dynamically correlated with foreign outflows and residents' inflows. That is, not only are they correlated with withdrawals by foreigners but they are also correlated with those by domestic (Korean) investors. The results are mostly driven by portfolio flows. Second, however, the marginal response to a U.S. monetary policy shock is, on average, subdued if we focus on the sample periods after the Global financial crisis of 2007-2008 (henceforth, global financial crisis). We conjecture a possible reason behind the change, an institutional change related to financial friction. If the degree of pledgeability of the value of net worth increases, the marginal responses by both investors would drop with a U.S. monetary policy shock, consistent with our findings.

Recently, the importance of simulation validation in a virtual environment for autonomous driving system validation is increasing. At the same time, interest in the advancement of the virtual driving environment is also increasing. To develop autonomous driving technology, a simulation environment similar to the real-world environment is needed. For this reason, not only the road model is configured in the virtual driving environment, but also the driving environment configuration that includes the surrounding environments -traffic, object, etc- is necessary. In this article, FMTC, which is a test bed for autonomous vehicles, is implemented in a virtual environment and advanced to form a virtual driving environment similar to that of real FMTC. In addition, the similarity of the virtual driving environment is verified through comparative analysis with the real FMTC.

As a low-cost and high-efficiency electrocatalysts with high performance and stability become a key challenge in the development of the practical use of water electrolysis, there is an intense interest in transition-metal oxalate-based materials. Transition-metal oxalate-based catalysts with excellent electrochemical performances have been widely applied in water electrolysis due to its low-cost and ease of synthesis. This review provides a useful summary on the development of transition-metal oxalate as potential catalysts for water electrolysis with a focus on the structural and compositional alteration, role of oxalate anion, and enhanced electrochemical performances.

As the average life expectancy is rising, the population is aging and the number of chronic diseases is increasing. This has increased the importance of healthy life and health management, and interest in mobile health services is on the rise thanks to the development of ICT(Information and communication technologies) and the smartphone use expansion. In order to meet these interests, many mobile services related to daily health are being launched in the market. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of users who actually use mobile health services were analyzed and a predictive model applied with machine learning modeling was developed. As a result of the study, we developed a prediction model to which the decision tree and ensemble methods were applied. And it was found that the mobile health service users' continued use can be induced by providing features that require frequent visit, suggesting achievable activity missions, and guiding the sensor connection for user's activity measurement.

With the development of information and communication technology, information literacy and utilization are emerging as basic skills necessary for modern people. Accordingly, information education is becoming a basic literacy education for a nation. Unplugged computing is in the spotlight as a major educational method of information education. The main advantage of unplugged computing is that it is easy to convey basic theories or principles of computer science to students through play activities without the help of special information devices such as computers and tablet PCs. However, studies on student evaluation on unplugged computing have been very insufficient. In this study, students' evaluation standards are developed to maximize the educational effect of unplugged computing. The evaluation standards consist of four areas: participation, interest, satisfaction, and understanding of concepts. The results of this study can be used as a basic study for student evaluation of unplugged computing in the future.

Abstraction is the cornerstone of ideal software engineering (SWE). This paper discusses a problem of forming reasonable generalizations, representations and descriptions in various software development processes through the prism of poor-quality (rash, unconsidered, uncertain and harmful) abstractions. To do this, emphasis is made on an induced strategic connection between the required abstraction and its compact specific formulation based on existing research and the author's introspective experience. A software aim point and characteristic preservation of the solution integrity is the subject of the best formulation and a program module or code associated with it. Moreover, a personal attitude expressed by personal interest, motivation and creativity, is proclaimed to be a fundamental factor in successful software development.

Blended learning has become one of the major trends in Korean corporate training. However, there has been scant research on blended learning in corporate trainings settings in Korea. The purpose of the present study was to explore current and future trends of blended learning in corporate and other training settings in Korea. 136 people from training related fields such as human resource development (HRD), training, and e-learning participated in this research. The findings revealed many interesting current trends and future expectations related to blended learning in training settings. In regards to the overall status of blended learning in Korean corporations, participants displayed strong interest in blended learning and were expecting that the importance of blended learning would grow in their organizations either modestly or significantly during the next few years. In addition, the perceptions of the respondents regarding the benefits of blended learning and the barriers to implementation in their respective organizations were analyzed.
