Enteral Nutrition in Pediatric Patients

  • Pediatric patients require specialized attention and have diverse demands for proper growth and development, and thus need a different approach and interest in nutritional assessment and supply. Enteral nutrition is the most basic and important method of nutritional intervention, and its indications should be identified. Also, the sites, modes, types, and timing of nutritional intervention according to the patient's condition should be determined. In addition, various complications associated with enteral nutrition supply should be identified, and prevention and treatment are required. This approach to enteral nutrition and proper administration can help in the proper growth and recovery of pediatric patients with nutritional imbalances or nutritional needs.

  • Recently, the regulations from the government and the concerns of people be raised to the interest in exhaust and intake noise of passenger car as much as other vehicles. In these demands, performance prediction software was developed in this paper. In this study, Robust design was used for improving the noise reduction capacity of intake system with the performance prediction software. On the basis of the existing design, length and radius of each component that was thought to be effective to the performance of intake system was selected. At first, factors are arranged by using Ll8 table of orthogonal array and then optimum value can be obtained by modified Ll6 table of orthogonal array.

  • As the data storage device market demands higher data transfer rate with higher track density. TMR budget is to be tighter so that even minor improvement is sought in HDD development fields. Disk flutter associated with the turbulent air flow inside the chamber becomes of great interest for the reduction of PES especially at OD. A comparative transient turbulent flow study is presented in this paper for the reduction of disk flutter with different housing designs.

  • The last few nears have seen significantly increased interest in organic food. Organic food is still a small but growing part of the food industry with an identity defined and protected by law. Its existence provides an element of consumer choice. To obtain consumer confidence and, product credibility and transparency in the organic market, organic legislation and certification is needed, To facilitate export of organic products, harmonization of the organic legislation is favoured. The IFOAM accreditation programme has already achieved very much in this respect. Several national regulation, such as the NOP(USA) and EC2092/91(European Union) have already complied with the IFOAM basic standards. But in many countries there is still a lack of national legislation on organic agriculture. Because of the fast globalisation, organic agriculture is facing major challenges for international trade, so it is very important to consider the future development and certification of organic produce in all countries.

  • This paper subscribes the measurement system that can position the target to measure by moving 2-axis stage, which is controlled by the data from image processing technique. The high resolution camera and lens are used in measurement of micro mechanical part, but the region of measurement is very small. It is necessary the re-positioning to measure several regions in one part. The system described in this paper has the accuracy with about $0.9\mu\textrm{m}$ resolution per one pixel and can be applied to measure micro mechanical part.

  • Due to increase of interest in web accessibility and recognition of its necessity, a variety of accessibility indicators and automatic assessment tools have been developed, but previous literature indicated various problems about these indicators and tools. Thus, this research proposes and verifies the assessment model for accessibility of a frame content by considering web standards which develop the same web page for every client environment.

  • Rib fractures are a common injury resulting from blunt chest trauma. The most important complications associated with rib fractures include death, pneumonia, and the need for mechanical ventilation. The development of new osteosynthesis materials has stimulated increased interest in the surgical treatment of rib fractures. Surgical stabilisation, however, is not needed for every patient with rib fractures or for every patient with flail chest. This paper presents an easy-to-use evidence-based algorithm, developed by the authors, for the treatment of patients with flail chest and isolated rib fractures.

  • Graphene is a two-dimensional sp2 layer material. Despite the short history in the empirical synthesis of the graphene layers, the academic/industrial unique features have brought highly significant interest in research and development related to graphene-related materials. In particular, the electrical and optical performances have been targeted towards pre-existing microelectronicand emerging nanoelectronic applications. The graphene synthesis relies on a variety of processing factors, such as temperature, pressure, and gas ratios involving H2, CH4, and Ar, in addition to the inherent selection of copper substrates. The current work places its emphasis on the role of experimental factors in growing graphene thin films. The thermally-grown graphene layers are characterized using physical/chemical analyses, i.e., four point resistance measurements, Raman spectroscopy, and UV-Visible spectrophotometry. Ultimately, an optimization strategy is proposed in growing high-quality graphene layers well-controlled through empirical factors.

Analytic Model for Concentration Deficit Profile Caused by a Large Vegetated Area (녹지의 대기정화효과 분석을 위한 해석적 대기확산모델의 유도)

  • A simple analytic model is proposed here to analyze the concentration deficit field caused by a large area of vegetated area. With non-dimensional deposition velocity chosen as small parameter, the regular perturbation method is exploited to derive the mass balance equation and the dynamic equations for the concentration deficit field, Analytic solutions to those equations are obtained in a closed form for several cases of interest, assuming that the concentration field is stationary and the plume can be nicely approximated as Gaussian for a point source. The results suggest that quite a negligible fraction (less than 1%) of the gaseous air pollutants emitted into the air is removed by the vegetated area of which width is 4 km in wind-wise direction, the typical dimension of the Restricted Development Zones around the metropolitan regions in South Korea.

  • Recently, interest in renewable energy is increased due to exhaustion of fossil fuel and environmental pollution all over the world, therefore the solar power generation using solar energy is many researched. The solar power generation is required solar tracking control and high concentration solar thermal collector because generation performance is depended on concentrator efficiency. This paper proposes high efficiency solar power generation with two-axis tracking control using dish-type solar thermal collector that has excellent thermal collector performance and tracking algorithm that can be accurately tracked solar position. This paper proves validity through analysis with accuracy of tracking algorithm and generating efficiency.
