  • In the 21 st century, broadcasting, communication, and computer have been integrated due to the development of digital technology. Accordingly, to overcome the limit of respective communication media and to maintain them, their independent area shall not be classified. This study is to examine the future environment of digital TV broadcasting, to analyze customizing type service and interactive type TV technology, and to make asymmetric interactive digital TV publication broadcasting system, which is TV broadcasting in the next generation to treat visual image, sound, and various data all together by harmonizing broadcasting and communication like ISDB(Integrate Service Digital Broadcasting). In addition, to develop service on publication broadcasting with high quality, this study is tn propose to develop relative devices for TV/PC reception to realize a new communication type TV publication broadcasting, by analyzing technology for producing, sending, transmitting, receiving, and saving to apply to customizing type interactive system and by examining its application.

  • This paper introduces interactive multi-view contents authoring system based on MPEG-4. The MPEG-4 standard, which aims to provide an object based audiovisual coding tool, has been developed to address the emerging needs from communications, interactive broadcasting as well as from mixed service models resulting from technological convergence. Due to the feature of object based coding, it has been considered that MPEG-4 is the most suitable for interactive broadcasting content production. This feature is suitable for creation of the content which provides multiple views of object or scene in interactive manner. In this paper, we categorize the multi-view visual content into two types: panoramic multi-view content and object multi-view content. And design and implementation of the authoring system for interactive multi-view contents is presented. We believe that the proposed method can be effectively used for further deployment of MPEG-4 content to various interactive applications.

  • Movie Films and Games, to be close to their industries, needs in crossover fields, are affected to each other. Interactive movie is an effective authoring method accommodating this trend on demands. However, studies which explore and examine various forms of Interactive effected films and storytelling approaches are scarce. This call for elucidation is basis of this research which applies the notion of Interactive movies and games to analyzing of trends and composition limits of Interactive movies, and improvised methodology of ability on merits for the next generation media cultures.

The subject of the space is 'Ubiquitous Creative World' which Imagining the past becomes actuality and imagining in future become actuality and future when it will approach at once. The storyline of this space is as belows; 1 Zone - Ubiquitous life Gallery : it will be able to experience the future world ; home, office, street, school and the others. 2 Zone - Interactive Play Gallery : it will be able to explore the interactive media with information technology ; digital cafe, imagining jump, digital art and the others. 3 Zone - New product and Business Gallery : it composed with business, new product, and demonstration gallery such as public information space. The space concept makes connection and concentration which uses unit and line for world which becomes accomplished by the network.   • This paper describes the development of the media art environment concept, in which the user's interaction becomes visual arts in both digital and analogue media. It describes AD-Trace, an experimental media art component that investigates the aesthetic and technological possibilities through the development of interactive media artworks that utilizes that the traces of the user's interaction. The AD-Trace consists of three design components: Analogue Trace, Digital Trace, and Interaction Metaphor to guide user interactions with user's understanding. Three artworks are proposed to demonstrate the real world applications of the concept: AD-PD(analogue digital picture diary), AD-Star (analogue digital star), and AD-Map (analogue digital map).

  • In this paper, a package, that is a new type of contents providing new consumer experience under digital broadcasting environments. is introduced. To present various advantages of package that is in standardization process of TV-Anytime Phase-2, a service scenario for personalized educational content is proposed. Then, TV-Anytime Packaging technology to support the scenario is described. It is also shown that the personalized service that provides interactive and personalized consuming experience independent of the types of content and delivery channels is feasible by using TV-Anytime Packaging technology.

  • It was a special phenomenon in the art of 20th century that the earnest engagement of spectators came up to the surface in the area of artwork-creation and art-experience which had been one-sided processes for a long time. Such a genre of Optical art or Kinetic art, had pulled out active engagements of audiences in enjoying diverse works, played the role of locomotive in the Interactive Art. Of course, many kind of art made an appearance on the channels of diverse media from that times. For example, many people came to enjoy taking part in such a genre as Happening formated the mode of face-to-face communication between the creator and the spectator. The appearance of the technology of digital media had a decisive influence on the area of the Interactive Art. From that time on, people have come to accept the reciprocity of the relations between artist and spectator naturally. This paper makes researches on some trends in the development of Interactive Arts by way of analyzing some representative Interactive Artworks typing the birth and growth of Interactive Art.

  • Development of digital technology is advancing to levels which influence the formation of city landscapes and spaces. The use of media facade is creating modernized city-spaces with contemporary application of various digital mediums. In this way, media facade functions as media-art in an artistic point of view, while also providing the means for buildings to become landmarks in a city-scape point of view. Going a step further, media facade using interaction is drawing a lot of attention as it enables communication with the city inhabitants instead of one-way contents provision. This paper will research such interactive media facade using transparent display glass currently being used as construction building material and its potential growth.
