Phase errors of arrayed waveguide degrade the performance of AWG router, especially for dense WDM system. So it is necessary to measure the phase error and to compensate. The analysis method of the interference signal from the low coherence interferometer to measure the path length difference phase error is studied. The interference signal generated assuming the intentional path length difference errors of 0.1$\sim$0.4${\mu}m$ are analyzed and the results show that the path length difference phase error of ${\Delta}L$ within ${\pm}14^{\circ}$ of sampling phase error can be accurately measured.

Countermeasure for instability due to sudden changes like electric short circuit, line switching, generation/load dropping etc. in power systems have been sought in terms of intentional or controlled network changes such as series/shunt compensation and generation/load rejection etc. This paper presents the comparison of stability improving effects by series and shunt compensation for the first swing step out phenomena of a large capacity generating station.

본 논문에서는 블록 코딩된 영상을 전송할 때 손실 블록을 재구성하는 기법을 제안한다. JPEG 영상이 무선 통신 상에서 전송될 때, 오류는 영상 전체 블록에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이는 JPEG 영상에서 dc 계수를 차분 코딩하기 때문이다. 이에 본 논문은 손실 블록과 인근 블록들 사이의 상관성을 이용하여 손실 정보를 재구성한다. 제안된 기법의 성능 평가를 위해 의도적인 블록 오류를 추가하여 실험한 결과, 객관적으로나 주관적으로 모두 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

This paper surveys the meaning of the pen name ′Yi Sang(李箱)′ in the light of the arbitariness of language and the relationship among names, observing in three ways how the images of ′Sang′ (Box) appear differently in his works. In Particular, we look into (1) the relationship between a box and its inner boxes, (2) the divisional relationship in the box, and (3) the relationship between the box and an outer box. In Yi Sang′s work, image (1) gives shape to the relationship between the writer himself and his ancestors who are responsible for his present existence. Image (2) gives shape to two internally divided Yi Sangs, and is symbolized as a mirror that reflects two selves. Image (3) gives shape to a relationship between himself in the closed world and other people and/or a bigger outside world. All these symbolic relationships are fully represented in his work "Nalgae" (The Wing)". What is interesting is that Yi Sang has already employed these box images in his earlier poetry "Geonchuk-muhan-yukmyeon-gaucho" (Infinite Architectural Hexagon). furthermore, by visualizing his name as a sqaure($\square$), he means to suggest the intentional image of his pen name as a ′box′.

Comprehensive investigation on the outlet's geometric shapes of a centrifugal blower with higher inlet resistance than an atmospheric pressure is carried out for improvements of its performance. Most unwanted behaviors of such blower are pulsating flows because of unbalance between inflows and outflows in a scroll casing. In order to reduce this undesirable phenomenon a triump is made for both the shape of outlet duct and an accessory structure inserted in the outlet port of the blower. The modification on the shape is concerned with the contraction of cross sectional area and the attached structure is for an intentional obstruction to cause a flow resistance. The details of the modification are examined for different cases and results. The methodologies for the work are performance evaluations including noise level and velocity measurements with PIV Consequently, the performance of improved system is close to that of the system operating with atmospheric pressure at the inlet.

Lens designers generally refer to flat image fields and attempt to minimize the field curvature. Present-day CMOS image sensors for mobile phone cameras, however, are not flat, but curved. Sometimes it is necessary to generate an intentional field curvature according to the degree and direction of the CMOS image-sensor’s curvature. This paper presents the degree of curvature of a CMOS image sensor measured using an interferometer, and proposes an effective compensation method that minimizes the net field curvature through optimizing the air gap between lens elements, which is demonstrated using simulations and experiments.

인터넷 사용의 일반화는 정보보호라는 새로운 도구화를 요구하게 되었다. 따라서 정보시스템에 대한 침입, 정보 탈취, 변경 및 훼손 또는 의도적인 유출에 따르는 정보 보호는 시스템보호를 위한 시스템사용자 인준 문제에서 외부로부터 침입 탐지의 필요성이 요구된다. 그러므로 이 문제에서 여러 가지 사례의 지능화 침입 수법에 대한 호스트 로그(host log)를 분석하고, 네트워크_패킷(network_packet)을 분석해 대규모 네트워크 환경에서 이용할 수 있는 침입 탐지결정모듈 PUM(Processing Unit Module)설계를 제안한다.

Mathematical modeling has been emphasized because it offers important opportunities for students to both apply their learning of mathematics to a situation and to explore the mathematics involved in the context of the situation. However, unlike its importance, mathematical modeling has not been grounded in typical mathematics classes because teachers do not have enough understanding of mathematical modeling and they are skeptical to implement it in their lessons. The current study analyzed the data, such as video recordings, slides, and surveys for teachers, collected in four lessons of teacher education in terms of mathematical modeling. The study reported different kinds of tasks that are authentic with regards to mathematical modeling. Furthermore, in teacher education, teachers' identities have separated a mode as learners and a mode as teachers and conflicts and intentional transition were observed. Analysis of the surveys shows what teachers think about mathematical modeling with their understanding of it. In teacher education, teachers achieved different kinds of modeling tasks and experience them which are helpful to enact mathematical modeling in their lessons. However, teacher education also needs to specifically offer what to do and how to do it for their lessons.

Hydrofluoric acid is a weak inorganic acid used for etching and as rust removals. Systemic toxicity after oral ingestion induces rapid development of hypocalcemia and hyperkalemia, leading to ventricular fibrillation and finally asystole. We report a case of intentional ingestion of hydrofluoric acid producing an altered mental state at the time of the patient's arrival in the emergency department. The patient died approximately 80 minutes after the exposure with asystol.

Paraquat is a useful nonselective herbicide widely used throughout the world. However, accidental or intentional ingestion of the paraquat cause fetal pulmonary injuring. But there is not suitable antidote of paraquat intoxication and therapeutic agents now be used are not effective. So, in this study we intended to evaluate the inhibitory effects of DDB(dimethyl-4,4'dimethoxy-5,6,5',6'-dimethylene dioxyphenyl-2,2'-dicarboxylate) on paraquat toxicity. DDB (100mg/kg) was administered orally to SD rats lhr after paraquat(50mg/kg) injection. After 24 hours, the biochemical parameters of blood and tissues were examined. In paraquat treated groups sGPT, sGOT, BUN, creatinine, MDA and alkaline phosphatase levels in blood and MDA, glucose-6-phosphatase activity in tissues were elevated by 2 to 5 times of normal values. However in schizandrin treated groups, sGPT, sGOT, MDA and alkaline phosphatase activity in blood and MDA and glucose-6-phosphatase activity were significantly decreased to notmal levels but not in biochemical parameters of nephrotoxicity, BUN and creatinine levels. Therefore, we concluded that schizandrin can be used as an antidote of pulmono, hepatotoxicity of paraquat.
