한국아동보육사업의 경제적 규모 평가를 위한 지표개발 연구 (Development of Indicators for Evaluating the Size of Economic Investment for Child Care in Korea)

  • This study performed intensive indicators based on a model of economics of education. Trends of childcare in Korea were obtained by producing values developed with statistical data. Results showed that such simple initial indicator values as numbers of children, institutions and teachers have improved. However, intensive indicator values that take demographic and economic conditions into consideration have not reached the same rate of progress as the initial indicator values. In other words, qualitative growth remains at an unsatisfactory level in comparison to quantitative growth and to qualitative growth in members of the Organization for Economics Cooperation and Development (OECD).Thus, financial investment by the government should be expanded in order to reach the desired level of high quality in daycare for children.

중환자의 경관영양 공급 지표로서 위 잔여량의 임상적 효용성: 체계적 문헌고찰 (Clinical Usefulness of Gastric Residual Volume as An Indicator to Provide Approximately Enteral Nutrition for Patients in Intensive Care Units: A Systematic Literature Review)

  • Purpose: The practice of enteral nutrition with gastric residual volumes (GRVs) as a clinical indicator is poorly standardized in intensive care units. This study aims to summarize the results from studies that evaluated the clinical outcomes related to the GRVs. Methods: This systematic review study analyzed 11 studies consisting of four randomized controlled trials, one non-randomized controlled trial, and six observational studies. Results: No consistent relationship between GRV thresholds and clinical outcomes was observed. Higher GRVs were not consistently correlated with clinical outcomes such as higher gastrointestinal complications, aspiration pneumonia, or mortality. Higher GRVs significantly generate complications more often. Findings show that a single GRV more than 200 mL or two consecutive GRVs more than 150 mL should raise concern about negative consequences. Conclusion: Critical care nurses need to monitor GRVs closely during their practice of enteral nutrition. For critically ill patients receiving enteral nutrition, a GRV threshold of 200 ml would be a desirable limit to provide safe and adequate nutrition with a conservative approach.

균형성과표를 이용한 중환자실 간호부서의 핵심성과지표 개발 (Development of Nursing Key Performance Indicators for an Intensive Care Unit by using a Balanced Scorecard)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop visions of nursing service, nursing strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs) for an intensive care unit (ICU) based on a Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Methods: This study was undertaken by using methodological research. The development process consisted of four phases; the first phase was to develop the vision of nursing in ICUs. The second phase was to develop strategies according to 4 perspectives of a BSC. The third phase was to develop KPIs according to the 4 perspectives of BSC and the final phase was to combine the nursing visions, strategies and KPIs of ICUs. Results: Two main visions of nursing service for ICUs were established. These were 'realization of harmonized professional nursing with human respect' and 'recovery of health through specialized nursing' respectively. In order to reach the aim of developing nursing visions, thirteen practical strategies and nineteen KPIs were developed by four perspectives of the BSC. Conclusion: The results will be used as objective fundamental data to attain business outcomes for the achievement of nursing visions and strategies of ICUs.

지방의료원 중환자부 건축계획을 위한 영역별 공간구성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spatial Composition by Zone for the Architectural Planning of the Intensive Care Unit in Regional Public Hospitals)

  • Purpose: The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is an important inpatient care area where critical patients are treated intensively with advanced medical technology. The level of care of ICU and the modernization of related facilities is an important indicator of health care quality. At the present time, when the Regional public hospitals are frequently expanding, the rational planning of the ICU has become an important part of the medical institutions treating the ICU. The purpose of this study is to present basic data with net area which can be used in the architectural planning of the ICU. Methods: The investigation and analysis of the ICUs were conducted on 26 medical facilities, based on theoretical analysis through relevant guidelines, articles, and documents, and on the basis of the actual space composition and net area analysis through the architectural drawings. Results: This study provides basic data such as zone division, spatial composition, relationship between main activities and zones, composition of facilities in the zone and area ratio within each zone. Implications: The results of this paper are expected to be effective reference materials for future research for rational spatial organization and efficient operation of the Intensive Care Unit in regional public hospitals.

Use of Geographic Information System Tools for Improving Mobile Source Atrmospheric Emission Inventories

  • Mobile source emissions are important inputs to photochemical air quality models. Since most mobile source emissions are calculated at the county-level, these emission should be geographically allocated to the computational grid cells of a photochemical air quality model prior to running the model. The traditional method for the spatial allocation of these emissions has been to use a "spatial surrogate indicator" such as population, since grid-specific emission calculations are very labor-intensive and expensive, plus the necessary data are often not available for such grid resolutions. Accordingly, new spatial surrogate indicators for mobile source emissions(specifically for highway emissions) were developed using Geographic Information Systems(GIS) tools due to the spatially variable nature of mobile source emissions. These newly developed spatial surrogate indicators appear to be more appropriate for the allocation of highway emissions than the population surrogate indicator. It was also revealed that the conventional spatial allocation method underestimates the maximum levels of air pollutant emmissions.mmissions.

  • The rapid industrial growth, the consequent shortage of farm labour and increase in their wage level have facilitated more capitalized agricultural mechanization pattern in Korea. The efficiency of capital intensive machine is highly dependent on farm land structure. This paper describes a model explaining the relationship between farmland structure and required inputs for machine operation and to estimate required inputs for machine operation on the national basis for Korea for its paddy production system. The machine cost is closely related to operation area, but the required labour-hours are more related to machine type adopted . From the technology introduction point of view, if capital intensive machine is introduced, less labour-hours are required but machine kW-hours increase rapidly. From the plot geometry point of view, on good geometry plots, machine kW-hour and labour-hour required are less than that on the poor geometry plots. The kW-jhour per hectare of mechani al energy input id better indicator of mechanization level than kW per hectare or number of machine. If the adopted technology is more capital intensive and plot geometry is good, the cost reduction effect is highly significant.

Emotion-aware Task Scheduling for Autonomous Vehicles in Software-defined Edge Networks

  • Autonomous vehicles are gradually being regarded as the mainstream trend of future development of the automobile industry. Autonomous driving networks generate many intensive and delay-sensitive computing tasks. The storage space, computing power, and battery capacity of autonomous vehicle terminals cannot meet the resource requirements of the tasks. In this paper, we focus on the task scheduling problem of autonomous driving in software-defined edge networks. By analyzing the intensive and delay-sensitive computing tasks of autonomous vehicles, we propose an emotion model that is related to task urgency and changes with execution time and propose an optimal base station (BS) task scheduling (OBSTS) algorithm. Task sentiment is an important factor that changes with the length of time that computing tasks with different urgency levels remain in the queue. The algorithm uses task sentiment as a performance indicator to measure task scheduling. Experimental results show that the OBSTS algorithm can more effectively meet the intensive and delay-sensitive requirements of vehicle terminals for network resources and improve user service experience.

중환자실에서의 환자분류체계 확립을 위한 결정지표 개발에 관한 연구 (The study of critical indicator development for establishing patient classification system in the Intensive Care Unit)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to establish a basis of patient classification in the ICU by selecting the determination critical indicator of special nursing activities that show high interrilation with daily total nursing care time. Method : This study is composed of the six steps. The first step is the listing direct nursing activities in the ICU. The last step is the determination indicator of each group were selected on the basis of their relationship to the daily total nursing care time of each patient classification group and each nursing activity. Result : Result shows that: 1. direct nursing activities in the ICU are 149 items of 13 territories. 2. the average time and frequency for each direct nursing activities 3. total direct nursing care time of 42 patients in ICU for 2 days. According to the results of the Cluster analysis, the first group is 10 people, the second group is 13 people, the third group is 16 people, the fourth group is 3 people. 4. Determination critical indicator is the item that is r>0.6(p<0.05) of Pearson Correlation between each patient daily total nursing care time and 149 items of nursing activities. The nursing activities selected were as follows: 2 items in the first group, 17 items in the second group. 16 items in the third group, 8 items in the fourth group. Conclusion : This study can help future studies which measure nursing activities standard time or assigns value to nursing activities time.

국가 단위 자원생산성 측정 신뢰성 제고를 위한 보조지표 개발 (Development of Sub-indicator for Enhancing the Reliability of National-level Resource Productivity Estimation)

  • 국가 단위의 자원생산성은 GDP/DMC로 측정한다. 그러나 GDP의 경우 지표 특성상 자원으로부터 발생된 부가가치만을 구분하기 어렵다는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자원생산성 지표(이하 GDP/DMC) 수식 중 GDP에 에너지 조정계수를 적용(이하 GDPe) 하였다. GDPe 적용 결과, 제조업 비중이 높은 우리나라는 자원사용량 1톤당 평균 1,094.60 USD/ton의 가치를 창출하였으며 OECD 38개 국가 중 4위로 기존 GDP/DMC 대비 10계단 상승하였다. 반면 3차 산업이 전체 GDP의 70%를 차지하는 룩셈부르크는 GDPe 적용 후 자원생산성 순위가 12계단 하락하였다. GDPe/DMC는 산업구조별 에너지 사용량을 고려해 자원에 국한하여 부가가치를 측정하므로 제조업 비중이 높은 국가의 경우 산업특성이 반영되어 자원생산성이 기존보다 상대적으로 높게 나타날 수 있다. GDPe/DMC는 산업구조가 확연히 다른 국가들(에너지/자원집약도가 높은 산업 중심의 국가와 그렇지 않은 국가) 간의 자원생산성 비교 분석을 통한 개선안 도출에 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 뿐만 아니라 산업구조가 유사한 국가들 간에 자원생산성 비교, 분석을 위해서도 참고지표로써 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
