서식지 적합성 평가를 통한 국립공원 탐방로 관리 방안 연구 - 무등산 국립공원 내 담비 서식지를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Trail Mangement in National Park Using Habitat Suitability Assessment: A Case Study of Yellow-throated Marten Habitats in Mt. Mudeung National Park)

  • This study carried out for establishing the synthetic restoration plan to improve ecological quality of Mt. Mudeung National Park based on the results of conservation value assessment for yellow-throated marten habitats. Yellow-throated marten has significant implications as umbrella species for the wildlife habitats conservation, therefore, this species could be used to ecological restoration plan of the damaged forest ecosystem in Mt. Mudeung National Park. In this study, we diagnosed the quality of yellow-throated marten habitats in Mt. Mudeung National Park based on five natural and two artificial factors. In addition, we evaluated the integrity of each zone divided by trails quantitatively based on land use intensity. As a result, forest landscape quality in Mt. Mudeung National Park was influenced greatly by human activity and the degree was depended on the intensity of trails. Therefore, in this study, we suggested the closing of trails composed of the illegal and 36 legal trails. And then, we modeled the changes of habitats quality of Yellow-throated marten for each closing step. As a result the area of core habitats increased by two times and wildlife habitats quality improved in the whole area of the Mt. Mudeung National Park. As a result, the results of this study indicate that man-made linear landscape elements play a key role in the quality of habitats for predators, which require large habitats area like the Yellow-throated marten. Therefore, in order to establish an ecological restoration plan in the mountainous area, we recommend the concept of the linear landscape should be applied with the concept of area landscape.

금강 수계 백제보에서 어류의 종 특성 평가 및 생태평가모델 적용 (Fish Species Compositions and the Application of Ecological Assessment Models to Bekjae Weir, Keum-River Watershed)

  • The objectives of study were to evaluate fish species compositions of trophic guilds and tolerance guilds and apply ecological fish assessment (EFA) models to Bekjae Weir, Keum-River Watershed. The EFA models were Stream Index of Biological Integrity (SIBI) used frequently for running water and Lentic Ecosystem Health Assessment (LEHA) used for assessments of stagnant water. The region of Bekjae Weir as a "four major river project" was originally a lotic ecosystem before the weir construction (2010, $B_{WC}$) but became more like lentic-lotic hybrid system after the construction (2011, $A_{WC}$). In the analysis of species composition and ecological bioindicator (fish), fish species with a preference of running water showed significant decreases (p < 0.05), whereas the species with a preference of stagnant water showed significant increases (p < 0.05). After the weir construction, relative abundances of tolerant species increased, and the proportion of insectivores decreased. This phenomenon indicated the changes of biotic compositions in the system by the weir construction. Applications of SIBI and LEHA models to the system showed that the two model values decreased at the same time after the weir construction ($A_{WC}$), and the region became more like lentic-lotic hybrid system, indicating the degradation of ecosystem health. The model values of SIBI were 19 and 16, respectively, in the BWC and AWC, and the health conditions were both "C-rank". In the mean time, the LEHA model analysis showed that the values was 28 in the BWC and 24 in the AWC, thus the health was turned to be "B-Rank" in the BWC and "C-Rank" in the AWC. indicating a degradation of ecological heath after the weir construction.

부식된 해저 원유 파이프라인의 사용적합성 평가 (Serviceability Assessment of Corroded Subsea Crude Oil Pipelines)

  • Pipelines are one of the most important structures in subsea equipment. It is the main equipment for transportation of crude oil and natural gas to the downstream facilities. Crude oil and natural gas leak will be carry out not only political and financial issues but also pollution to the environment. Inaccurate predictions of corrosion behavior will make hazardous consequences. The serviceability assessment of corroded structures is essential especially for subsea pipelines. As corrosion is concerned, the effects of failure due to significant reduction will make it hard to the pipeline operator to maintain the serviceability of pipelines. In this paper, the serviceability assessment of corroded crude oil pipeline is performed using the industry design code (Shell92, DNV RP F101, ASME B31G, BS 7910, PCORRC) and FEA depending on corrosion area. In last step, the future integrity of the subsea crude oil pipeline is assessed to predict the remaining year in service of crude oil pipelines.

전략환경영향평가와 지속가능한 발전 지표의 연계방안 (Implication Measures between Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment and Sustainable Development Indicators)

  • 2015년 9월에 세계 각국의 정상이 UN 총회에 모여 지속가능한 발전을 위한 2030 Agenda를 구축하기로 합의하였다. 2030 Agenda에는 사회적 안전성, 경제적 효율성 및 환경적 건전성이라는 3대축을 달성하기 위한 17개의 지속가능한 발전목표(SDG)가 채택되었다. UN 지속가능 발전 구축연합(UN SDSN)에서는 SDG 실행 정도를 측정하기 위한 지속가능 발전지표(SDI)를 개발하여 빈곤퇴치, 사회적 통합, 환경관리 같은 총체적 접근을 통하여 지속가능성의 달성 정도를 확인할 수 있는 지속가능성평가(SA)에 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 우리나라에서는 전략환경영향평가(SEIA)를 PPP(정책, 계획, 프로그램)에 환경부가 시행하는 반면에, 전략환경평가(SEA)의 일종인 국토계획평가(NLPA)는 국토교통부 자체의 계획에 적용되고 있다. SEIA와 NLPA가 고위 정책당국자를 포함한 이해당사자들에게 의사결정 지원도구로 활용되어 왔지만, 이들 SEA 제도의 핵심원리인 최적 대안 선정의 평가기준은 구체성이 미흡한 실정이다. 우리나라 실정에 적합하게 고안된 SDI를 SEIA에 반영하면 지속가능성을 비교적 간략하게 평가하여 SDG 실행의 실효성을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 최근 국내 증기발생기 Alloy 600HTMA 전열관의 관 지지판 부위 외면 축균열 결함의 생성이 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 이로 인하여 증기발생기가 설계수명 이전에 조기 교체되었으며 또는 교체 예정이다. 전열관 외면 축균열은 건전성 관리에 가장 위협이 되는 요소이므로 정밀한 건전성 평가가 요구된다. 와전류검사(ECT, eddy currunt testing)는 주기적으로 수행되어 지며 이 결과는 건전성 평가 입력 자료로 활용된다. ECT 검사시스템의 신뢰성은 검사기술과 평가자 기량에 의존하며, NDE 시스템 성능을 보여주는 지수는 열화탐지와 크기 측정 오차이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 평가자 성능이 반영된 크기 측정 오차와 그리고 최적의 균열 크기 측정 방법을 제시하였다. 실험은 국내 각기 다른 5개 회사에서 10명의 평가자가 참여한 다자간 비교시험의 결과를 사용하여 이루어졌다. 실험 결과 분석은 파괴검사 결과값과 비파괴검사로 측정된 값의 상관관계를 회귀분석을 통하여 이루어졌다.

막 손상 측정을 위한 압력손실시험의 감도에 영향을 미치는 인자 (Influencing Factors on Sensitivity of Pressure Decay Test for Membrane Damage Assessment)

  • 중공사형 정밀여과(MF)와 한외여과(UF)를 포함한 가압식 막여과 시스템은 높은 수준의 병원균 제거 효율로 인해 음용수 처리에 점점 더 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 가압식 막여과 시스템에서 분리막의 손상으로 인한 막완결성의 문제가 발생시 병원체가 유출될 수 있으므로, 효과적인 온라인 또는 오프라인 방식의 막 완결성 모니터링 방법을 통해 수질의 안정성을 보장하여야 한다. 최근 막 완결성 시험 중 하나 인 압력손실시험(pressure decay test, PDT)이 가압식 분리막 모듈을 이용한 음용수 처리 시설에 적용되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 PDT의 기체 주입방법에 따른 세 가지 조건으로 원수 측, 여과수 측, 원수 여과수 양방향 측 세 가지 조건을 선정 후 이에 따른 감지감도를 이론값과 실험값을 적용하여 비교하였다. 실험결과 가압되는 측의 부피와 감도는 반비례함을 확인하였고, 주입부의 반대방향에 부압을 형성 시에도 감도가 증가함을 확인할 수 있다. 즉 막 손상의 감지감도는 주입되는 부분의 체적이 작아질수록, 분리막을 경계로 유입과 여과 측의 압력차가 클수록 높아짐을 알 수 있었다.

증기발생기 전열관 감육부의 강도 및 손상평가 (Failure Assessment and Strength of Steam Generator Tubes with Wall Thinning)

  • Steam generator tubes are degraded from wear, stress corrosion cracking, rupture and fatigue and so on. Therefore, the failure assessment of steam generator tube is very important for the integrity of energy plants. In the steam generator tubes, sometimes, the local wall thinning may result from severe degradations such as erosion-corrosion damage and wear due to vibration. In this paper, the elasto-plastic analysis was performed by FE code ANSYS on steam generator tubes with wall thinning. Also, the four-point bending tests were performed on the wall thinned specimens, and then it was compared with the analysis results. We evaluated the failure mode, fracture strength and fracture behavior from the experiment and FE analysis. Also, it was possible to predict the crack initiation point by estimating true fracture ductility under multi-axial stress conditions at the center of the thinned area from FE analysis.

원자력발전소의 냉각재상실사고 특성DB를 활용한 중대사고 관리체계연구 (A Study on Severe Accident Management Scheme using LOCA Sequence Database System)

  • In terms of an accident management, the cases causing severe core damage need to be analyzed and arranged systematically for an easy access to the results since the Three Mile Island (TMI) accident. The objectives of this paper are to explain how to identify the plant response and cope with its vulnerabilities using the probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) quantified results and severe accident database SARDB(Severe Accident Risk Data Bank) based on sequences analysis results. Although PSA has been performed for the Korean Standard Power Plants (KSNPs), and that it considered the necessary sequences for an assessment of the containment integrity. The developed Database (DB) system includes a graphical display for a plant and equipment status, previous research results by a knowledge-based technique, and the expected plant behaviour. The plant model used in this paper is oriented to the cases of loss of coolant accident (LOCA) is be used as a training simulator for a severe accident management.

  • This paper presents the psychoacoustic analyses on the vehicle interior, noise generated when accelerating. Following the objective quantification for vehicle noises of different classes, the subjective decision process by the jury test is adopted to interrelate these results based on two different approaches. In particular, the paired comparison method is employed in assessing the sound quality in terms of the quietness, the powerfulness, and the pleasantness of the human auditory sensation. Special attention is paid to the physical interpretation of psychoacoutic parameters and their interrelation to the subjective assessment scores. In order to ensure the integrity of statistics of the survey, various tests are performed. The results show that the consistency of the "quiet" sensation is far higher than that of the "powerful" and the "pleasant" sensations. Also, it is found that the most significant parameter determining these feelings turns out to be the inherent loudness of the noise instead of the conventional indicators such as the weighted sound pressure level. It may be concluded that the psychoacoustic analysis offers more realistic evaluation for vehicle noise and assists the improvement of NVH more efficiently.ement of NVH more efficiently.

  • Urbanization rates of population range from about 1% in the developed countries to about 4% in developing countries. For a global population that may reach 10 billion within the next 40 years, pressure has arisen for an increase in the large-scale use of wastes and byproducts in construction. Ironically, most of the wastes that need to be recycled are generated in large cities where the need for constructed facilities to serve large population is high. Waste and recycled materials (WRM) that are used in construction are required to satisfy material strength, durability and contaminant teachability requirements. These materials exhibit a wide variety of characteristics owing to the diversity of industrial processes through which they are produced. Several laboratory-based investigations have been conducted to assess the pollution potential and load bearing capacity of materials such as petroleum-contaminated soils, coal combustion ash, flue-gas desulphurization gypsum and foundry sand. For full-scale systems, although environmental pollution potential and structural integrity of constructed facilities that incorporate WRM are interrelated, comprehensive schemes have not been developed for integrated assessment of the relevant field-scale performance factors. In this presentation, a framework for such an assessment is proposed and presented in the form of a flowchart. The proposed scheme enables economic, environmental, worker safety and engineering factors to be addressed in a number of sequential steps. Quantitative methods and test protocols that have been developed can be incorporated into the proposed scheme for assessing the feasibility of using WRM as partial or full substitutes for earthen highway materials in the field.
