델타시그마 변환기 구조와 Limit Cycle 발생 (Delta-Sigma Modulator Structure and limit Cycle Generation)

  • 델타시그마 변환기에서 limit cycle 에 의한 패턴 노이즈 문제는 오래 동안 설계자들을 괴롭혀 온 문제이다. 델타시그마 변환기의 동작과 출력은 입력과 초기치에 의해 결정된다. 본 논문은 델타시그마 변환기의 구조에 따른 패턴잡음의 발생정도를 널리 쓰이는 네 가지 모델로 비교 하였다. 델타시그마 변환기 중 적분기형 과 공진기형의 차이와 부궤환 방식에 따른 차이를 비교 하였으며 그 결과는 적분기 형식의 증폭단을 사용하는 델타시그마 변환기가 패턴잡음을 적게 발생시키는 것으로 판명되었다.

  • As the complexity in design and manufacturing activities of distributed virtual enterprises rapidly increases, the issue of process management becomes more critical to shorten the time-to-market, reduce the manufacturing cost and improve the product quality. This paper proposes a unified framework to manage design and manufacturing processes in a distributed environment. We present a methodology which utilizes process flow graphs to depict the hierarchical structure of workflows and process grammars to represent various design processes and design tools. To implement the proposed concept, we develop a process management system which mainly consists of a cockpit and manager programs, and we finally address a preliminary implementation procedure based on the Object Modeling Technique. Since the proposed framework can be a formal approach to the process management by providing formalism, parallelism, reusability, and flexibility, it can be effectively applied to further application domains of distributed virtual enterprises.

  • 이 논문에서는 Sigma-Delta A/D 변환기의 새로운 이득 최적화 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 방식에서는 변조기의 SNR을 최대화하는 다수개의 이득 값 후보군을 먼저 선정한 후에 CIC 데시메이션 필터를 통과시켜 가장 작은 MSE를 보이는 이득 값을 결정하는 방식이다. 실험에 사용된 변조기는 단순화를 위하여 1차의 단일 비트 변조기를 사용하였다. 모의실험을 통하여 변조기의 후보군 중 2위를 기록한 이득 값이 가장 작은 MSE를 보였다. 제안된 방식은 변조기의 SNR을 최대화하는 기존의 아이디어와 데시메이션 필터로 사용되는 CIC 필터의 샘플 합 특성을 이용하여 최적의 이득 값을 결정하는 방식이다.

  • 이 논문에서는 Sigma-Delta A/D 변환기의 새로운 이득 최적화 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 변조기의 SNR을 최대화하는 상위 10개의 이득 값 후보군을 선정한 후에 데시메이션 필터를 통과시켜 가장 작은 MSE를 보이는 이득 값을 최적의 이득으로 결정하는 방식이다. 1차의 단일 비트 변조기의 실험 모델을 통하여 변조기의 후보군 중 6위를 보인 이득 값이 가장 작은 MSE를 보였다. 제안된 방식은 변조기의 SNR을 최대화하는 기존의 아이디어와 데시메이션 필터로 사용되는 CIC 필터의 샘플합 특성을 이용하여 최적의 이득 값을 결정하는 장점을 갖는다. 이 논문에서 제안한 이득 최적화 방식은 변조기의 실험을 통하여 더 많은 후보군을 선정하여 CIC 필터를 시뮬레이션하면 더 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

A CMOS-based Temperature Sensor with Subthreshold Operation for Low-voltage and Low-power On-chip Thermal Monitoring

  • A CMOS-based temperature sensor is proposed for low-voltage and low-power on-chip thermal monitoring applications. The proposed temperature sensor converts a proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) current to a PTAT frequency using an integrator and hysteresis comparator. In addition, it operates in the subthreshold region, allowing reduced power consumption. The proposed temperature sensor was fabricated in a standard 90 nm CMOS technology. Measurement results of the proposed temperature sensor show a temperature error of between -0.81 and $+0.94^{\circ}C$ in the temperature range of 0 to $70^{\circ}C$ after one-point calibration at $30^{\circ}C$, with a temperature coefficient of $218Hz/^{\circ}C$. Moreover, the measured energy of the proposed temperature sensor is 36 pJ per conversion, the lowest compared to prior works.

W-대역 라디오미터를 위한 Direct Detection 수신기 (Direct Detection Receiver for W-Band Radiometer)

  • W-대역 원격탐사용 라디오미터 구현을 위하여 direct detection 방식의 구조를 가지는 수신기를 설계하였으며, 통신 또는 레이다 수신기 구조와 다르게 저 잡음이면서 60 dB 이상의 고이득을 가지도록 제작하였다. 라디오미터 수신기는 W-대역에서 동작하는 4단의 고이득 저잡음 증폭기와 대역폭 필터, square law detector로 구성되었으며, 제작된 연구 결과를 제시하였다. 개발된 direct detection 수신기는 94 GHz의 입력 주파수와 약 4 GHz의 대역폭, 그리고 56 dB 이득과 입력신호가 -20 dBm 경우 적분기 출력단에서 4,500 mV/mW의 감도를 보여주고 있다.

외란 관측기에 기반을 둔 힘 추정기 설계 (Design of Force Estimator Based on Disturbance Observer)

  • In this paper, a force estimation method is proposed for force control without force sensor. For this , a disturbance observer is applied to each joint of an {{{{ { n}_{ } }}}} degrees of freedom manipulator to obtain a simple equivalent robot dynamics(SERD) being represented as an n independent double integrator system. To estimate the output of disturbance observer due to internal torque, the disturbance observer output estimator(DOOE) is designed, where uncertain parameters of the robot manipulator are adjusted by the gradient method to minimize the performance index which is defined as the quadratic form of the error signal between the output of disturbance observer and that of DOOE. when the external force is exerted, the external force is estimated by the difference between the output of disturbance observer and DOOE, since output of disturbance observer includes the external torque signal as well as the internal torque estimated by the output of DOOE. And then, a force controller is designed for force feedback control employing the estimated force signal. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed force estimation method, several numerical examples and experimental results are illustrated for the 2-axis direct drive robot manipulator.

저항 스캐닝 방식의 유연 촉각센서 신호 특성분석 (Analysis of Signal Characteristics of Resistance Scanning-type Flexible Tactile Sensor)

  • This paper introduces a resistance scanning-type flexible tactile sensor for intelligent robots and presents the output characteristics of the sensor via signal processing. The sensor was produced via the lamination method using multi-walled carbon nanotubes (a conductive material), an insulator, and Tango-plus (an elastic material). Analog and digital signal processing boards were produced to analyze the output signal of the sensor. The analog signal processing board was made up of an integrator and an amplifier for signal stability, and the digital signal processing board was made up of an IIR filter for noise removal. Finally, the sensor output for the contact force was confirmed through experiments.

  • In industrial production-distribution systems, production and purchasing rates, associated inventories, and sales are very critical for the profits of each component in the system. The objective of this study is to investigate an effective information control scheme for a production -distribution system by automatic feedback control techniques. In this work, a dynamic control scheme that has an integrated -error with state-feedback and filtering (ISFF) is proposed as a new algorithm for a dynamic controller. Generalized formulations of the dynamic control are proposed in the continuous-time and discrete-time cases. A methodology for an evaluation of ISFF controller gains using the eigen structure property is presented. When an upper-limit is imposed on the production capability by available factory space and capital equipment, supervisory control is provided to avoid integrator-windup and deterioration of system performance.

  • The SSWM(Software Switching Mechanism) of I-processor concept using non-real time in-house software simulation program is an effective method in order to develop the flight control law in desktop or HQS environment. And, this system has some advantages compare to HSWM(Hardware Switching Mechanism) such as remove the time delay effectiveness and reduce the costs of development. But, if this system loading to the OFP(Operational Flight Program), the OFP guarantee the enough throughput in order to calculate the two control law at once. Therefore, the HSWM(Hardware Switching Mechanism) of 2-processor concept is necessary. This paper addresses the concept of HSWM of the HQS-PC interface using TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) communication based on flight control law of advanced supersonic trainer. And, the fader logic of TFS(Transient Free Switch) and stand-by mode of reset '0' type are designed in order to reduce the abrupt transient response and minimize the integrator effect in pitch axis. The result of the analysis based on HQS pilot simulation using HSWM reveals that the flight control systems are switching between two computers without any problem.
