  • The real-time traffic data is generated continuous and unbounded stream data type while intelligent transport system (ITS) needs to provide various and high quality services by combining with spatial information. Traditional database techniques in ITS has shortage for processing dynamic real-time stream data and static spatial data simultaneously. In this paper, we design and implement an advanced traffic monitoring system (ATMS) with the integration of existed data stream management system (DSMS) and spatial DBMS using IntraMap. Besides, the developed ATMS can deal with the stream data of DSMS, the trajectory data of relational DBMS, and the spatial data of SDBMS concurrently. The implemented ATMS supports historical and one time query, continuous query and combined query. Application programmer can develop various intelligent services such as moving trajectory tracking, k-nearest neighbor (KNN) query and dynamic intelligent navigation by using components of the ATMS.

Economic and Information Principles for Cargo Delivery Management in Global Network Supply Chains

  • The study is devoted to the formation of a economic principles cargo delivery management in global supply chains. Mathematical model of delivering special categories of goods by road is a key element of these principles. The article analyzes the existing studies on solving the problem of cargo delivery in various aspects. It was noted that the greatest attention is paid to legal regulation, last mile delivery, optimization of routes and delivery schemes, information support, technological innovations, cluster routing, etc. In the developed mathematical model a minimum of total costs of forming loading units and freight shipments was defined as the criterion of optimality of organizing delivery by motor transport. The authors propose the creation of logistics clusters allowing the integration of urban transport flows and global supply chains.

인터모달 추진 정책과 효과에 관한 비교연구 (Comparative Study of the Effects of the Intermodal Freight Transport Policies)

  • Purpose - The Korean government has devised intermodal transportation policies and granted subsidies to shippers and logistics companies that made a conversion of transportation means through the policies. This provides support by expanding the complex uniform railroad transportation and overhauling the deteriorated railroad facilities. As for 2013, however, the freight transportation percentage of railroad was 4.5% in tons and 8.5% in ton kilometers. Meanwhile, since the 1990s, developed countries such as the U.S. and Europe have been trying to expand intermodal freight transport with a legal and institutional support to build a logistics system corresponding with social and economic environmental changes. In this study, I set out to examine the effects of the intermodal freight transport policies in the EU and the U.S., and to explore the direction of setting up a rail intermodal transport system in South Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper used a qualitative research methodology through the literature review. First, was an overview of Intermodal transportation in the EU, U.S. and UN. Second, it describes the development of transport in Europe and the U.S. with particular emphasis on intermodal freight transport. Third, it explores the direction of setting up a intermodal freight transport in South Korea. The last section contains concluding remarks. Results - As for the EU, it has been promoting integration between transport and intermodal logistics network designs while utilizing ITS or ICT and supports for rail freight intermodal by giving reduction to a facilities fee or subsidizing for rail freight in order to minimize the cost of external due to freight transport. On the other hand, as for the U.S., it has been made up of an industrial-led operating project and has been promoting it to improve accessibility between intermodal hubs and cargo terminals through intermodal corridor program, and an intermodal cargo hub access corridor projects, etc. Moreover, it has tried to construct intermodal transport system using ITS or ICT and to remove Barrier. As a result, in these countries, the proportion of intermodal freight transport is going to be the second significant transport compared with rail and maritime transport. An Effective rail intermodal transport system is needed in South Korea, as seen in the case of these countries. In order to achieve this object, the following points are required to establish radical infrastructure policy; diversify investment financing measures taken under public-private partnerships, legal responsibilities, improvement of utilization of existing facilities to connect the railway terminal and truck terminal, and enhancement service competitiveness through providing cargo tracking and security information that combines the ITS and ICT. Conclusions - This study will be used as a basis for policy and support for intermodal freight transport in South Korea. In the future, it is also necessary to examine from the perspective of the shipper companies using the rail intermodal transport, ie, recognition of shipper, needed institutional supports, and transportation demand forecasting and cost-effective analysis of the railway infrastructure systems improvement.

교통약자 서비스를 위한 정보센터 통합방안 (Integration of Information Centers for the Elderly and Disabled Services)

  • 현재 우리나라는 늘어가는 노약자 및 장애인 문제의 해결방안으로 유비쿼터스를 필두로 하여 다양한 서비스 및 사회복지 전략을 실행하고 있다. 하지만 u-City 통합정보센터의 서비스의 대부분은 일반인을 대상으로 제공되고 있기 때문에 노약자 및 장애인 즉, 교통약자들의 접근이 어려운 실정이다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 교통약자를 위한 별도의 정보센터 구축을 논할 수 있지만, 이는 시간 및 비용 면에서 불합리한 대안이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존 u-City 정보센터에 교통약자 서비스를 통합하는 방안을 제안한다. 통합방안으로 최근 각광 받고 있는 SOA 기반의 ESB를 이용한 통합기법을 사용하여 일반인 및 교통약자를 위한 u-서비스 시스템의 통합 아키텍처를 제시하며 이에 대한 통신 기법을 제안한다. 논문에서 제안하고 있는 시스템 통합 아키텍처 및 통신 기법은 한국정보사회진흥원에서 제시한 "u-City IT 인프라 구축 가이드라인 V1.0"과 W3C 웹 서비스 표준 문서에 의거 도출되었으며 실제 u-City 통합 환경에서 적용 가능하리라 판단된다.

지하공간통합지도 활용을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 현장 적용 (Program Development and Field Application for the use of the Integration Map of Underground Spatial Information)

  • 최근 도시화된 지역의 지하개발로 인한 각종 문제가 증가함에 따라 정확한 지하시설물 정보관리가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현장에서 실시간으로 지하공간통합지도를 활용하기 위해 현장 취득 GPR (Ground Penetration Radar) 탐사 데이터와 지하공간통합지도의 상호 위치를 비교하는 기능, 지하시설물 분석 기능, GPR 탐사 단면을 지하공간통합지도 상에 중첩하여 가시화 하는 기능, 측량 데이터를 3차원 공간상에 정위치 및 속성 편집을 통해 셰이프 파일로 변환하는 기능, 셰이프파일을 지하공간통합지도 모바일 센터에 제출하는 기능을 정의하여 프로그램으로 개발하였다. 또한, 개발 프로그램의 현장 적용 테스트를 위해 상수관로 매설 공사 현장에서 지하시설물 실시간 측량 현장에서 활용하는 시나리오와 GPR 탐사 현장에서 활용하는 시나리오를 도출하였으며, 서울시 관내 4개소에서 현장 실증을 수행하여 활용 시나리오의 현장 적용 문제점 및 기능의 오류 없이 정상적으로 작동함을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램의 현장 활용성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 현장에서 측량 성과의 품질 확인 및 지하공간통합지도의 갱신 자동화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 국토교통부에서 추진하는 지하시설물도 정확도 향상 확산사업에 시범 적용하여 개발 프로그램의 활용성을 더욱 높일 것으로 기대된다.

비압축 HD 비디오 전송 시스템과 네트워크 기반 타일드 디스플레이의 결합 (Integration of Uncompressed HD Video Transport System and Network-based Tiled Display)

  • 광 기반 네트워크 기술의 발전에 따라 Gbps 급의 대역폭을 요구하는 비입축 HD (high definition) 영상을 낮은 지연으로 전송하고 재생하는 것이 가능해지고 있다. 이를 위하여 다양한 비압축 HD 미디어 전송 시스템이 소개되어 왔으며, 이들은 일반적으로 RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol)에 기반으로 한 실시간 데이터 전송과 비압축 미디어 인터페이스를 효과적으로 결합하여 대화형으로 사용함에도 지장이 없는 저지연의 실감형 시스템을 지원하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 [4,5]에서 제안된 비압축 HD 미디어 시스템의 실감성을 향상시키기 위하여 9600 $\times$ 4800 해상도의 타일드 디스플레이를 통해 전송된 비압축 HD 영상을 재생할 수 있는 기법을 제시한다. 또한 실제 구현된 비압축 HD 영상과 타일드 디스플레이 간의 연동 실험을 통하여 제안된 결합 방식의 타당성을 확인하고, 그 결과로 얻어진 실감성 있는 미디어 서비스의 효용성을 입증한다.

경축순환농업을 위한 가축분뇨 자원화 웹기반 정보은행 구축 (Web-based Information System Construction of Animal Manure Matching Service for Recycling Agriculture)

  • Animal and crop production systems were integrated on a single farm. This integrated farming system recycled nutrients on the farm. The separation of animal and crop production with the introduction of cheap commercial fertilizers, farms were not used land-applied manure. The on-line manure matching is one of the emerging business in the achievement of recycling and resource recovery. The manure matching actively promotes the reuse and recycling of by-products and manure. This study constructs to manure matching information system to solve the exchange problems between herders and croppers. Manure matching web sites designed. This paper introduces a web-based animal manure matching system. A manure matching service, part of the manure transport, links farmers who produce excess manure with farmers who can use the manure. Farmers registered with the service have requested manure. The manure matching service supports the transport project by linking farmers with excess manure with those farmers who can utilize the manure safely as a nutrient source. The goal of the service is to protect water quality by fostering efficient land application. Benefits to those who use the manure network include reduced disposal costs, lower purchase costs and recycling of manure. The manure matching is based on the principle that 'one persons waste is another person's fertilizer.' It provides a free online matchmaking service for environmentally safe manure recycling management system.
