In the recent modernized world, utilization of natural resources (renewable & non-renewable) is increasing drastically due to the sophisticated life style of the people. The over-consumption of non-renewable resources causes pollution which leads to global warming. Consequently, government agencies have been taking several initiatives to control the over-consumption of non-renewable natural resources and encourage the production of renewable energy resources. In this regard, we introduce an IoT powered integrated framework called as green home architecture (GHA) for green score calculation based on the usage of natural resources for household purpose. Green score is a credit point (i.e.,10 pts) of a family which can be calculated once in a month based on the utilization of energy, production of renewable energy and pollution caused. The green score can be improved by reducing the consumption of energy, generation of renewable energy and preventing the pollution. The main objective of GHA is to monitor the day-to-day usage of resources and calculate the green score using the proposed green score algorithm. This algorithm gives positive credits for economic consumption of resources and production of renewable energy and also it gives negative credits for pollution caused. Here, we recommend a green score based tax calculation system which gives tax exemption based on the green score value. This direct beneficiary model will appreciate and encourage the citizens to consume fewer natural resources and prevent pollution. Rather than simply giving subsidy, this proposed system allows monitoring the subsidy scheme periodically and encourages the proper working system with tax exemption rewards. Also, our GHA will be used to monitor all the household appliances, vehicles, wind mills, electricity meter, water re-treatment plant, pollution level to read the consumption/production in appropriate units by using the suitable sensors. These values will be stored in mass storage platform like cloud for the calculation of green score and also employed for billing purpose by the government agencies. This integrated platform can replace the manual billing and directly benefits the government.

Compound coastal disasters are a type of natural disaster featuring both internal and external flooding due to rises in sea-level, torrential rains, typhoons, and tsunamis. The, incidence and scale of damage from such disasters is increasing. This aim of this study was to review the current laws and systems managing the phenomenon of the coastal complex disaster, and to derive recommendations for improvements to manage and prevent them. In this study, the Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety, the Countermeasures against Natural Disasters Act, the National Land Planning and Utilization Act, the Coast Management Act, the River Act, and the Sewerage Act were reviewed, with focus on the district-zoning system designated by ministries for the management of natural disasters along the coast. Through a comparison of the purpose and nature of the laws, spatial scope, and management resources, it was judged that it would be desirable to comprehensively manage compound coastal disasters based on the Countermeasures Against Natural Disasters Act. In order to overcome the limitations of the current system and to derive specific measures to improve laws and systems, a questionnaire survey on detailed factors was conducted targeting experts in natural disaster management. The results indicated that it is necessary to improve the current system or introduce a new system for the management of coastal complex disasters, with integrated management of land and sea areas through the installation and operation of integrated decision-making governance by related ministries such as MOIS, MOLIT, MOF, and ME.

In South Korea, there is a growing domestic need for a biotope map which contains ecological and environmental geographic information of a city. After the production of a Urban Ecological Maps(biotope map) by the Seoul metropolitan government in 2000, Natural Environment Conservation Act was revised in 2017 to make it mandatory for a local government to draw up its own urban ecological map. The aim of the present study was to find out ways to utilize an urban ecological map as a mean of communication between natural environment planning and urban planning sectors in a preliminary stage before introducing a big framework of 'environmental and ecological planning.' The northern area of Incheon metropolitan city was selected as the target area for this study. The major research content includes a comparative analysis of special-purpose zones, urban planning zones, restricted development zones, and conservation forests with focus on biotope types and Grades 1 of 'Biotope Type Assessment.' Farmland biotopes and forest biotopes within an area designated as an urban zone (residential, commercial and industrial zones) need to be redesignated as a zone which can conserve them. Especially considering a high possibility of damage to a large scale of natural green areas, these areas need to be readjusted immediately. If the entire area designated as an urban planning zone is to be developed, it is likely to cause serious damage to natural biotopes in the area (56.2%), including farmland biotope (30.4%), forest biotope (15.0%) and grassland biotope (10.8%), and thus, readjustment is needed. In case of a conservation forest, as it can possibly be damaged by the designation of special-purpose zones, it is necessary to match the designation of conservation forests or a special-purpose zones with their biotope types. In conclusion, we present a variety of thematic maps for utilization of an urban ecological map and propose a phase-specific environmental and ecological plan. Phase 1 is the establishment of a urban plan in consideration of ecological status; Phase 2 is the independent establishment of an environmental and ecological plan by an environment department; Phase 3 is an integrated management of ecological planning system and urban planning system.

Hydrogen embrittlement fracture poses a challenge in ensuring the structural integrity of materials exposed to hydrogen-rich environments. This study advances our comprehension of hydrogen-induced fracture through an integrated numerical modeling approach. In addition, it employs a ductile fracture model named the Gurson-cohesive model (GCM) and hydrogen diffusion analysis. GCM is employed as a fracture model that combines the Gurson model to illustrate the continuum damage evolution and the cohesive zone model to describe crack surface discontinuity and softening behavior. Moreover, porosity and stress triaxiality are considered as crack initiation criteria . A hydrogen diffusion analysis is also integrated with the GCM to account for hydrogen enhanced decohesion (HEDE) mechanisms and their subsequent impacts on crack initiation and propagation. This framework considers the influence of hydrogen on the softening behavior of the traction-separation relationship on the discontinuous crack surface. Parametric studies explore the sensitivity to diffusion properties and hydrogen-induced fracture properties. By combining numerical models of hydrogen diffusion and the ductile fracture model, this study provides an understanding of hydrogen-induced fracture and thereby contributes significantly to the ongoing efforts to design materials that are resilient to hydrogen embrittlement in practical engineering applications.

This paper identifies the mechanisms governing the industrial location changes in Korea by focusing upon the emergence of the country's large conglomerate business organizations (chaebols). As the country has distinctive industrial organization, production systems, and government-business relations, this study tries to develop an ideal conceptual framework for the analysis of industrial location changes in Korea. It perceives the Korean economy as a system within which 'space-organizing', lage business organizations interact over time with government, smaller firms and multinational corporations at different geographical scales. The usefulness of the model is assessed using a case study of Korea's most representative chaebol, the Samsung Group. This study identifies chaebols as the dominant institutions in Korean society. Their growth and business strategies have been influenced by the Korean Government through its power to allocate capital resources. Regional dynamics of industry and labor, therfore, have been strongly influenced by changes in the location, industrial structure, and production system of chaebols. With econmic power concentrated within a few giant business groups and their major areas of operation restricted, unbalanced regional development has resulted. Dissatisfaction from residents in less-developed areas has pressured the Government to advise chaebols to disperse their production facilities. Most small and medium-sized firms are closely linked to large corporations through subcontracting. By forming hierarchical subcontracting. By forming hierarchical subcontracting systems, chaebols have indirectly exploited scattered, part-time, home-based, female and lower-paid laborers organized by subcontractors. Further, chaebols have expanded their business arena to encompass overseas locations in a bid to overcome the problem of a small domestic market, trade regulations and increased market, trade regulations and increased labor costs. Through their international business networks Korea's local and regional economies are integrated into the world economy. Indeed, the identification of the changing relationships of chaebols with both the Korean Government and smaller firms is the key to explaining the nations's spatial dyanmics of industry and labor.

This study developed an integrated approach to climate change and urbanization impact assessment by linking models of SDSM (statistical downscaling model), HSPF (hydrological simulation program?Fortran) and ICM (impervious cover model). A case study of the Anyangcheon watershed illustrated how the proposed framework can be used to analyze the impacts of climate change and urbanization in terms of flood control, water security and water quality. The evaluation criteria were the variations of flow and pollutant concentration duration curves. In this study, nine scenarios including three climate (present condition, A1B and A2) and three urbanization scenarios were analyzed using HSPF model. As a result, climate change is a large influence on the flowrate and the urbanization affects the pollutant concentration. Therefore, the impacts of both climate change and urbanization must be included into the watershed management and water resources planning for sustainable development.
The number of Healthy Family Support Centers has dramatically increased during the past eight years since the Framework Act on Healthy Families was enacted. This phenomenal growth is largely credited to Certified Healthy Family Specialists (CHFSs). Despite their contributions, the job and working conditions of the CHFSs have rarely been explored from the insiders' perspective. In this study, we aim to delineate CHFSs' job and working conditions from their own narratives in order to improve an understanding of CHFSs' profession and work environment. We conducted in-depth interviews with nine CHFSs and a focus-group interview with five CHFSs. Our findings revealed that CHFSs took pride in their professions, internalized their professional mission of enhancing family strengths, and highlighted CHFSs' unique professional role in comparison to other human services professionals. In conclusion, CHFSs showed a strong professional identity consisting of rich professional knowledge, solid career goals, and integrated socio-political values. Contrary to the positive perception of the CHFSs' job, CHFSs expressed challenges in their working conditions in terms of small-scale organizations at local Healthy Family Support Centers, a heavy workload, hierarchical relationships with local government officers, and the unsatisfactory payroll and promotion system. This study contributes to a better understanding of CHFSs' job and their working conditions and provides insights on how to enhance professionalism among CHFSs and their work environment. As for policy implications, we suggest advancing qualifications for CHFSs, improving professional training programs for current CHFSs, and expanding small-scale organizations.

This paper is the second in a series and aims to build a high-fidelity mathematical model for a propeller-driven airplane using the propeller's aerodynamics and inertial models, as developed in the first paper. It focuses on aerodynamic models for the fuselage, the main wing, and the stabilizers under the influence of the wake trailed from the propeller. For this, application of the vortex lattice method is proposed to reflect the propeller's wake effect on those aerodynamic surfaces. By considering the maneuvering flight states and the flow field generated by the propeller wake, the induced velocity at any point on the aerodynamic surfaces can be computed for general flight conditions. Thus, strip theory is well suited to predict the distribution of air loads over wing components and the viscous flow effect can be duly considered using the 2D aerodynamic coefficients for the airfoils used in each wing. These approaches are implemented in building a high-fidelity mathematical model for a propeller-driven airplane. Flight dynamic analysis modules for the trim, linearization, and simulation analyses were developed using the proposed techniques. The flight test results for a series of maneuvering flights with a scaled model were used for comparison with those obtained using the flight dynamics analysis modules to validate the usefulness of the present approaches. The resulting good correlations between the two data sets demonstrate that the flight characteristics of the propeller-driven airplane can be analyzed effectively through the integrated framework with the propeller and airframe aerodynamic models proposed in this study.
This study was based on the 'Escape Theory' model suggested by Baumeister(1990). Based on this analysis framework, this study attempted to examine that complicated direct and indirect effect of school risk factors(risk of academic scores, risk of relation with teacher and risk of peer relation) on suicide ideation in adolescence, through negative self-esteem, depression and withdrawal coping. To this end, this study used the data from the '2008 Gyeongsangbuk-Do youth crisis survey' conducted by the Youth service center in province of Gyeongsangbuk-Do. The target number of this study was 2,335 students in the age group of middle school and high school. The result of the Analysis indicate that risk of relation with teacher among school risk factors was only one which affected directly and indirectly on suicide ideation. The other side, risk of academic scores and risk of peer relation had indirect effects, via negative self-esteem, depression and withdrawal coping. In conclusion, this study confirmed that school risk factors had effects on suicide ideation directly or indirectly, they were complicatedly connected, through negative self-esteem, depression and withdrawal coping. Therefore, Prevention program for adolescence' suicide ideation or suicide risk require integrated strategies and tactics.
