Nickel-Titanium(NiTi) rotary instruments have brought a big step toward "efficient" practice of endodontic procedure. The rotary files help clinicians to reduce their working time and also increase the clinical success rate with minimal procedural errors by stainless steel instruments. In spite of these advantages, NiTi instruments still have a few drawbacks including unpredictable fatigue fracture. Clinicians may reduce the potential risk of instruments fracture by following some clinical guidelines for rotary instruments. In some clinical cases of instruments fracture, we may try to remove the instruments' fragments or bypass the fragment to reach the apical canal. In some limited cases, the fractured instruments' fragments would not jeopardize the clinical prognosis of root canal treatment. However, it is impossible to be overemphasized that the fragment removal is more difficult than the prevention of fracture. Clinicians need to understand the fracture mechanisms and, in clinic, need to discard the used instruments timely.

We searched at the "PubMed.gov" and "jendodon.com" sites to conduct a literature review on dental instruments that are reused in clinical settings and on infection control involving pre-disinfection or sterilization cleaning/rinsing. The keyword "dental clean" was used for the Web search. We found the present official definition of instrument cleaning performed prior to disinfection or sterilization rather limiting ("removal of foreign matter (soil, organism, etc.) from the instruments"). Thus, we proposed to expand the definition to include the removal of oils applied to protect the metallic instruments and from corrosion, stains, and rust resulting from the frequent reuse of the instruments. Clinicians are found to clean their dental instruments (a) immediately after treating their patients or (b) following their treatment but not immediately afterward. In the latter case, we recommend presoaking to be added. Ultrasonic sterilization of 5~15 minutes is found to be more effective in terms of eliminating residual matter from the instruments compared to other methods. To check on the cleaning results, we recommend visual inspection, which can be quick and practical in clinical settings. The latest products being developed and marketed on the market address the related problems. Nonetheless, research must be continued on the effects of presoak, cleaning/rinsing, disinfection, and high-temperature or heating-based sterilization on the dental instruments and on dental clinicians' practices in cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization. We advise dental clinicians to select the proper cleaning methods and detergents for their instruments to help eliminate or prevent corrosion, staining, and rusting, to reduce the maintenance costs, and to ensure user-friendly instruments/apparatuses.
This study, based on literature review and theoretical discussion, reinterprets the learning environment instruments from cultural perspectives and suggests the applicability of learning environment instruments for understanding science classroom cultures. To do this, the existing learning environment instruments are first investigated and compared in terms of their features and utilizations appeared in previous studies. The learning environment instruments are then reinterpreted in the light of culture. Finally, we suggest the possibilities to use the learning environment instruments to understand science classroom cultures. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the learning environment instruments, by interpreting them culturally, could be interpreted in cultural ways and used as the alternative ways to explore science classroom cultures. Second, the learning environment instruments, such as WIHIC and CLEQ, could be interpreted both along the dimension of phenomena in classrooms and the dimension of students' psychology in order to investigate science classroom cultures. Third, the instrument items could be interpreted culturally in different ways according to the description types of instrument items. Thus, when learning environment instruments are used in culture research, the description types should be sufficiently taken into account. Based on the results of this study, educational implications are discussed in terms of exploring classroom cultures and of culture research.
Monitoring is the most important part of the construction and operation of the embankment dams. Applied instruments in these dams should be determined based on dam requirements and specifications. Instruments selection considered as one of the most important steps of monitoring plan. Competent instruments selection for dams is very important, as inappropriate selection causes irreparable loss in critical condition. Lack of a systematic method for determining instruments has been considered as a problem for creating an efficient selection. Nowadays, decision making methods have been used widely in different sciences for optimal determination and selection. In this study, the Multi-Attribute Decision Making is applied by considering 9 criteria and categorisation of 8 groups of geotechnical instruments. Therefore, the Analytic Hierarchy Process and Multi-Criteria Optimisation and Compromise Solution methods are employed in order to determine the attributes' importance weights and to prioritise of instruments for embankment dams, respectively. This framework was applied for a rock fill with clay core dam. The results indicated that group decision making optimizes the selection and prioritisation of monitoring instruments for embankment dams, and selected instruments are reliable based on the dam specifications.

We constructed 3-D images by HMD (Head Mount Display) type and polarization technique through which a training instrument of binocular function based on clinical vision therapy was developed and investigated its demand. To design the instrument that performs Test- Diagnosis - (Prescription) - Training - Treatment we provided a customized training method for the trainers using optical IT instruments of binocular test. Through the contents and the instruments of the vision therapy technology developed in this work we can replace the current vision test instruments to those costing 60% lower price in eye clinics and eye glasses shops. By replacing the existing vision test instruments it is possible to create a new market of the vision therapy in vision training instruments.
This paper makes a report of Shaman\`s ritual performed among Korean resiednts in Japan as socio-historical facts, and this also examines the symbolic meanings of Shamans\` costumes. The results are as follows ; 1) At the ritual of Jungsip-Wang Maji, Shamans wear Gwandae, Kunbok, Jangsam, Durumaki, and Chima-jugori. These costumes show that their wearers are priests and gods at the same time. 2) The reason why Simbang performs the ritual in different costumes at different Jaechas is that each object-god needs different costumes to represent its different character. 3) Shamans\` instruments consist of musical instruments and other instruments. Among the musical instruments are such percussions as Buk, Jing, Janggo and Sulsae. Among other insttruments are Sindo, Sanban and Yoryung. 4)Shamans think that the musical instruments have magic powers to drive out minor demons and invite gods. Sindo, Sanban and Yoryung are thought to be the symbolic instruments representing god\`s will.
Identifying which international maritime legal instruments are mandatory or recommendatory is complicated task even for maritime regulatory bodies. Although International Maritime Organization (IMO) had tried to ease the complexity by adopting guidelines on uniform wordings for making reference to other instruments in IMO parent conventions, there has still been some confusion identifying the mandatory status of IMO instruments. The aim of this study was to map out a step-based guideline to resolve the complexity of the mandatory status of IMO instruments to the maximum extent possible. This study reviewed the history of IMO rule-making process to find the root cause of the problem, then analyzed the approaches of regulatory enforcement bodies to check the practices. In conclusion, readers are directed to find such information as to legal status of IMO instruments and an improvement is proposed to enhance the transparency of information sharing for maritime industry to make better informed decisions.
