  • New concept of hybrid divisible load theory is introduced in this paper. Hybrid system deals with a combination of modularly divisible load and arbitrarily divisible load. Main idea of hybrid divisible load theory is introduced with a simple example. A condition of optimality is derived for the hybrid case.

  • An intelligent system which is an integration of multi-functional instrumentation (MFI) and a neural network is discussed. According to some experiments of temperature and wind velocity it is clear that this system can learn the data structure of two parameters above. So it makes good performances for estimations of non-sample data.

  • A control strategy for random parametic system by using FLC is investigated and developed. In the course of research, as a first part, nonlinear system under random disturbance is investigated. Preliminary results is presented in the paper. A control technique, GA based FLC, is employed successfully for inverted pendulum experiencing white noise excitation.

  • In this study, methodologies for checking the interference between in-core instrumentation (ICI) guide tubes for routing of ICI guide tubes in the reactor coolant system of typical Pressurized Water Reactor under cold and normal operation (NOP) conditions are presented. The closest points of ICI guide tubes under cold condition are calculated by using minimize technique and are used as data for NOP analysis. Movements of ICI guide tubes under NOP condition are performed by the commercial computer code, SUPERPIPE.

  • In this paper, a rail-vibration controller of magnetic levitation system is designed and implemented. The target plant to be controlled is electro-magnetic type which is open-loop unstable, highly non-linear and time-varying system. The designed controller is validated by some kinds of experiments.

  • A new tridiagonal Toeplitz linear system (TTLS) solver is proposed. The solver decomposes a strictly diagonally dominant TTLS equation into a number of subsystems using a limit convergent of an analytic solution of a continued fraction. Subsystem equations can be solved employing a modified Gaussian elimination method. The solver fully exploits parallelism. Optimized operational environment for the algorithm is discussed.

  • We study the transient stability control problem for electric power system. Passivity-based control method is used to obtain transient stability. We propose a method which uses neural network to obtain passivity and the transient stability, and compare the simulation result with that of speed gradient method which was developed by other researchers.

  • The studies about the swing control of the travelling pendulum have been developed in many ways. Most of them deal with the linearized pendulum model. This paper shows that the pendulum can be modelled without linearization by using MATRIXx, the dynamics simulation software. The fuzzy controller for reducing swing of the travelling pendulum is implemented with fuzzy tools supplied by MATRIXx.

  • In this paper, the performance of Mini MAP architecture in realtime application is analyzed by analytic methods. The approximate equations for token rotation time and waiting time are obtained and using these equations network. performance is evaluated. According to the results obtained, Mini MAP architecture has good realtime performance and can be used to many real time applications.
