  • This paper presents a digital calculation method of instantaneous reactive power component for standby power supply(SPS) system. Reactive current is defined in time domain, calculated instantaneously by using a TMS320C25. The theoretical analysis is verified by the digital simulation and experimental results.

  • DSTATCOM(distribution static compensator) is one of the custom power devices, and protects a distribution line from unbalanced and harmonic current caused by non-linear and unbalanced loads. Researches about DSTATCOM are mainly divided two parts, one is the calculation of compensated current and the other part is the current control. This paper proposes a proportional-resonant-repetitive current controller. Improved performance of instantaneous power compensation has been shown by simulations and experiments.

  • The objective of experimental study is to apply simultaneous measurement by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) to high_speed flow characteristics within ginseng cleaner model. Three different kinds of flow rate(15.20 27ℓ/min) are selected as experimental condition. Optimized cross correlation identification to obtain velocity vectors is implemented by direct calculation of correlation coefficients. The instantaneous velocity distribution time0mean velocity distribution and velocity profile are represented quantitatively for the deeper understanding of the flow characteristics in a ginseng cleaner model.

  • In this paper, a instantaneous speed measurement methode using a three phase sinusoidal taco-generator is described and it's simulations are developed. The proposed methode can easily detect the motor speed by using that the output voltage of taco-generator is propotion to the motor speed. Because the proposed methode consists of some calculation, the proposed system can be implemented with analog devices or micro processor conveniently. From the simulation resualts, the proposed measurement methode can acculately detect the real motor speed over wide range.

  • A novel effective calculation method of the compensation current commands of active power filter using voltage source PWM converter is proposed on the basis of the instantaneous reactive power theory. The load currents and the phase of the source voltages are used for the simplification of the calculations and the reduction of the its time. And the calculation of the currents is performed by DSP 32014 within 50 uSEC. For reducing the DC voltage and saving the costs, a passive power filters are used. The simulation results of the effects of the active power filter with a passive filter are presented.

  • This paper describes an attempt to develop a new equation to calculate deflection for reinforced concrete deep beams(a/d<2.5). The main idea incorporated with this equation is the internal force state factor($\alpha$)which is able to express global state of internal force flow in cracked reinforced concrete beams subjected to shear and bending. A new equation for deflection calculation using internal force state factor($\alpha$)provides more exact result of deflection in reinforced concrete deep beams than the equation predicted by the current code provisions.

  • By using nonlinear loads in power line, reactive power and harmonics are occured. In this thesis, on the basis of the instantaneous reactive power theory, the calculation method of compensation current commands and the current control characteristics of active power filter using voltage source PWM converter are presented. The calculation of compensation current is performed by DSP within 50 usec. And the Pl control of current is performed by analog devices. The compensations of harmonic current in rectifier loads and unbalance currents are proved by experiments.

  • Until recently there was a lack of reliable performance data for the design and operation of Ondol heating systems. This paper presents a calculation method on heat flux from Ondol floor surface. Total heat flux from floor consists of radiation and convection component. In order to analyse the characteristics of both radiation and convection heat flux, each surface temperature is measured and several temperatures near each wall are measured vertically and horizontally in a practical Ondol heating space. Radiation heat flux is calculated and analysed by Gebhart's Absorption Factor Method with the consideration of instantaneous radiant exchanges. Convection heat output is derived from the vertical temperature profiles near floor. The vertical temperature profiles could be expressed by nonlinear regression equation models and convection coefficients could be estimated by the equations. As a result, radiation, convection and total heat flux are suggested by the expression of difference between floor surface and room air temperature.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the source term behavior after severe accidents by using a semi-kinetic model for simulation and calculation of in-containment activity. The reactor containment specification and the safety features of the containment under different accident conditions play a great role in evaluating the in-containment activity. Assuming in-vessel and instantaneous release of radioactivity into the containment, the behavior of in-containment isotopic activity is studied for noble gasses (Kr and Xe) and the more volatile elements of iodine, cesium, and aerosols such as Te, Rb and Sr as illustrative examples of source term release under LOCA conditions. The results of the activity removal mechanisms indicates that the impact of volumetric leakage rate for noble gasses is important during the accident, while the influence of deposition on the containment surfaces for cesium, mainly iodine isotopes and aerosol has the largest contribution in removal of activity during evolution of the accident.
