A highly sensitive and selective non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) carbon dioxide gas sensor requires achieving high transmittance and narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM), which depends on the interface of the optical filter for precise measurement of carbon dioxide concentration. This paper presents the design, simulation, and fabrication of a Fabry-Perot filter based on a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) for a low-cost NDIR carbon dioxide sensor. The Fabry-Perot filter consists of upper and lower DBR pairs, which comprise multilayered stacks of alternating high- and low-index thin films, and a cavity layer for the resonance of incident light. As the number of DBR pairs inside the reflector increases, the FWHM of the transmitted light becomes narrower, but the transmittance of light decreases substantially. Therefore, it is essential to analyze the relationship between the FWHM and transmittance according to the number of DBR pairs. The DBR is made of silicon and silicon dioxide by RF magnetron sputtering on a glass wafer. After the optimal conditions based on simulation results were realized, the DBR exhibited a light transmittance of 38.5% at 4.26 ㎛ and an FWHM of 158 nm. The improved results substantiate the advantages of the low-cost and minimized process compared to expensive commercial filters.
Injection molding is a cyclic process comprising of cooling phase as the largest part of this cycle. Providing efficient cooling in lesser cycle times is of significant importance in the molding industry. Recently, lots of researches have been done for rapid cooling of a hot-spot area using CO2 in injection molding. The CO2 flows under high pressure through small, flexible capillary tubes to the point of use, where it expands to create a snow and gas mixture at a temperature of -79℃. The gaseous CO2 removes heat from the mold and releases it into the atmosphere. In this paper, a CO2 cooling module was applied to an injection mold in order to cool a large area cavity uniformly and quickly, and the cooling performance of the injection mold was investigated. The product was a high-curvature molded part with a molding area of 300x100mm. Heat cartridges were installed in a stationary mold, and CO2 cooling module was inserted inside a movable mold. Through structural analysis, it was confirmed that the maximum deformation of mold with CO2 cooling module was 0.09mm. A CO2 feed system with a heat exchanger was used for cooling experiments. The CO2 was injected into the holes on both sides of the supply pipe of the cooling module and discharged through hexagon blocks to cool the mold. It took 5.8 seconds to cool the mold from an average temperature of 140℃ to 70℃. Through the experiment using CO2 cooling module, it was found that a cooling rate of up to 12.98℃/s and an average of 10.18℃/s could be achieved.

In the framework of the Generation IV research and development project, in which the French Commission of Alternative and Atomic Energies (CEA) is involved, a main objective for the design of Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor (SFR) is to meet the safety goals for severe accidents. Among the severe ones, the Unprotected Transient OverPower (UTOP) accidents can lead very quickly to a global melting of the core. UTOP accidents can be considered either as slow during a Control Rod Withdrawal (CRW) or as fast. The paper focuses on fast UTOP accidents, which occur in a few milliseconds, and three different scenarios are considered: rupture of the core support plate, uncontrolled passage of a gas bubble inside the core and core mechanical distortion such as a core flowering/compaction during an earthquake. Several levels and rates of reactivity insertions are also considered and the thermal-mechanical behavior of an ASTRID fuel pin from the ASTRID CFV core is simulated with the GERMINAL code. Two types of fuel pins are simulated, inner and outer core pins, and three different burn-up are considered. Moreover, the feedback from the CABRI programs on these type of transients is used in order to evaluate the failure mechanism in terms of kinetics of energy injection and fuel melting. The CABRI experiments complete the analysis made with GERMINAL calculations and have shown that three dominant mechanisms can be considered as responsible for pin failure or onset of pin degradation during ULOF/UTOP accident: molten cavity pressure loading, fuel-cladding mechanical interaction (FCMI) and fuel break-up. The study is one of the first step in fast UTOP accidents modelling with GERMINAL and it has shown that the code can already succeed in modelling these type of scenarios up to the sodium boiling point. The modeling of the radial propagation of the melting front, validated by comparison with CABRI tests, is already very efficient.

Purpose: Diversity and the lachrymal duct deformities and the passage inside the nasal cavity except for anterior image such as epiphora happens during the test were able to express more precisely during the dacryoscintigraphy. Also, we thought about the necessity of a method to classify the passage into the naso-lachrymal duct from epiphora. Therefore, we are to find the validity of the method to obtain both oblique views except for anterior views. Materials and Methods: The targets of this research are 78 patients with epiphora due to the blockage at the lachrymal duct from January 2013 to August 2013. Average age was $56.96{\pm}13.36$. By using a micropipette, we dropped 1-2 drops of $^{99m}TcO4^-$ of 3.7 MBq (0.1 mCi) with $10{\mu}L$ of each drop into the inferior conjunctival fold, then we performed dynamic check for 20 minutes with 20 frames of each minute. In case of we checked the passage from both eyes to nasal cavity immediately after the dynamic check, we obtained oblique view immediately. If we didn't see the passage in either side of the orbit, we obtained oblique views of the orbit after checking the frontal film in 40 minutes. The instrument we used was Pin-hole Collimator with Gamma Camera(Siemens Orbiter, Hoffman Estates, IL, USA). Results: Among the 78 patients with dacryoscintigraphy, 35 patients were confirmed with passage into the nasal cavity from the anterior view. Among those 35 patients, 15 patients were confirmed with passage into the nasal cavity on both eyes, and it was able to observe better passage patterns through oblique view with a result of 8 on both eyes, 2 on left eye, and 1 on right eye. 20 patients had passage in left eye or right eye, among those patients 10 patients showed clear passage compared to the anterior view. 13 patients had possible passage, and 30 patients had no proof of motion of the tracer. To sum up, 21 patients (60%) among 35 patients showed clear pattern of passage with additional oblique views compared to anterior view. People responded obtaining oblique views though 5 points scale about the utility of passage identification helps make diagnoses the passage, passage delayed, and blockage of naso-lachrymal duct by showing the well-seen portions from anterior view. Also, when classifying passage to naso-lachrymal duct and flow to the skin, oblique views has higher chance of classification in case of epiphora (anterior:$4.14{\pm}0.3$, oblique:$4.55{\pm}0.4$). Conclusion: It is considered that if you obtain oblique views of the bilateral orbits in addition to anterior view during the dacryoscintigraphy, the ability of diagnose for reading will become higher because you will be able to see the areas that you could not observe from the anterior view so that you can see if it emitted after the naso-lachrymal duct and the flow of epiphora on the skin.
The purpose of this experiment was to examine possibility of microleakage by water, temperature change, and bite force inside the mouth during the period of using light-activated temporary filling materials. 2 kinds of light-activated temporary filling materials were used in order to measure weight and compressive strength and to evaluate microleakage between filling material and cavity wall according to frequency of thermal circulation. First, Light-activated temporary filling material was increased the weight, which was measured according to the period of using. As for the result of comparing between products, the weight of Quicks was indicated to be higher. Second, Compressive strength of Spacer had significant difference depending on period of using. However, significant difference wasn't shown in the compressive strength of Quicks. In Spacer that showed significant difference, the compressive strength increased greatly in the difference of 3 days. Third. As for micro-leakage according to frequency of thermal circulation, the microleakage was indicated to be the highest in the group that carried out 7,000 times. The group with operation of 1,000 times and the group with operation of 3,000 times were indicated the statistically lower micro-leakage than the group with operation of 7,000 times. This study brought about a rise in micro-leakage depending on the passage in the period of using. However, it is obvious fact that micro-leakage increases according to the passage of time after restoration.

This study conducted a prototype development and evaluation by performing die-casting mold design, mold manufacturing, and injection condition optimization based on flow and solidification analysis to meet the needs of the coupling parts produced by die casting. Through flow analysis, the injection conditions suitable for 100% filling in the cavity were found to be a molten metal temperature of 670 ℃, injection speed of 1.164 m/s, and filling pressure of 6.324~18.77 MPa. In addition, solidification close to 100 % occurred in all four cavities when the solidification rate was 69.47 %. A defect inspection on the surface and inside the product revealed defects, such as poor molding and pores. In addition, the dimensions of the injected product were within the target tolerance and showed good results. Through the feedback of the results of flow and solidification analysis, it was possible to optimize the mold design, and the injection optimization conditions were confirmed to be a total cycle time of approximately 6.5 seconds. Good quality carrier parts with an average surface hardness of approximately 45 mm from the gate measured at 97.48(Hv) could be produced.
The sludge oils were produced necessarily in the ships operation, so that it will be the best way to manage the sludge oils inside ship itself from a viewpoint of the prevention of marine oil pollution from ship. The ultrasonic breaking systems which recycle the sludge oil from ship into usable oil to be brunt is recognized as a most possible recycling device. In this regards, the purpose of this study is to examine erosion damage on the SS400 specimen by cavitation and the effect of impact pressure generated from the demolition of the cavity of ultrasonic vibration in the marine sludge oil environment .. The erosion damage of specimen was investigated mainly on weight loss, weight loss rate and maximum erosion rate with variation of the oil temperature as well as the change of space between transducer horn and specimen. The experimental results showed that as the space between ultrasonic vibrator horn and specimen disk increased, the weight loss and weight loss rate decreased and the values were larger in SFO than in SLO. The experimental results can be useful to the development of sludge oil disposing systems and to consider a countermeasure for the prevention of erosion damages by cavitation.
Statement of problem. Among the physical properties of adhesion luting cement, the aspect that requires the most important factor is the degree of solubility and water sorption. Dissolution or an inadequate due to excessive water sorption inside the oral cavity compromises the while concurrently increasing the susceptibility to secondary dental caries. Susceptibility to dissolution and difficulty of removing remnant cement from the gingival sulcus have hindered the use of dental resin cement in the clinical practice, but the improved characteristics of newer generation resin cements have interest in and enabled resin cements to be widely used in adhesion of fixed prosthesis, such as laminate veneers and all-ceramic crowns. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the degrees of solubility and water sorption of a variety of resin cements widely used for clinical purposes with different curing methods. Material and methods. Self-curing resin cements, $Avanto^{(R)}$, $C&B^{TM}$ CEMENT and Superbond C&B cements comprised group 1, 2 and 3. The dual-curing resin cements $Panavian^{TM}$ F, $Calibra^{(R)}$ and $Variolink^{(R)}$ II were divided into groups 4, 5, and 6, respectively. The investigation was carried out using disc-shaped specimens as specified by ANSI/ADA Specification No. 27. The degree of water sorption, water solubility and lactic acid solubility of each test group was analyzed statistically leading to the following conclusion. Results. The degree of water sorption was shown to increase in the following order : group 6, 5, 4, 2, 1 and 3. There were significant differences between the water sorption of each group. Results of the degree of water solubility were shown to increase in the following order : group 6, 5, 4, 2, 1 and 3. Statistically significant differences were found between each group, with the exception of groups 1 and 3. Finally, the degree of lactic acid solubility was found to increase in the following order : group 6,5,4,2,3 and 1. Significant differences were found between each group. In general dual-curing resin cements displayed substantially lower values than self-curing resin cements with regard to water sorption, water solubility, and lactic acid solubility. Conclusions. From the results of this study, dual-curing resin cements show a significantly lower degree of water sorption and solubility than their self-curing counterparts. Clinically, when selecting resin cements, the product with a lower degree of water sorption and solubility are preferred. The results of this study indicate that the use-of dual-curing resin cements is preferable to self-curing cements.

Ranula is a mucocele which occurs at the mouth floor and is mostly related to sublingual gland. In other words ranula is definded as a pseudocyst which occurs as the secretion duct of sublingual gland is destructed there as the saliva from the secretion duct flows out and retention in the soft tissue. The cause of ranula is destruction or obstruction of the duct. The clinical findings of ranula is a painless, unilateral bluish transparent swelling around the frenum and shows fluctuation when palpated. Histological finding represent a formation of cavity inside the connective tissue, but a pseudo-cyst can be seen which the wall of the cyst is composed of granulation tissue rather than epithelial cells. The first treatment of ranula can be considered as marsupialization. which induces the inner wall of the Ranula to be a part of oral mucosa. This case report shows a treatment of marsupialization with gauze packing in a young patient representing a clinical finding of characteristic ranula.

The direct and indirect damages caused by fires in underground utility tunnels have a great impact on society as a whole, so efforts are needed to prevent and manage them in advance. To this end, research is ongoing to prevent disasters such as fire flooding by applying digital twin technology to underground utility tunnels. A network is required to transmit the sensed signals from each sensor to the platform. In essence, it is necessary to analyze the application of wireless networks in the underground utility tunnel environments because the tunnel lacks the reception range of external wireless communication systems. Within the underground utility tunnels, electromagnetic interference caused by transmission and distribution cables, and diffuse reflection of signals from internal structures, obstacles, and metallic pipes such as water pipes can cause distortion or size reduction of wireless signals. To ensure real-time connectivity for remote surveillance and monitoring tasks through sensing, it is necessary to measure and analyze the wireless coverage in underground utility tunnels. Therefore, in order to build a wireless network environment in the underground utility tunnels. this study minimized the shaded area and measured the actual cavity environment so that there is no problem in connecting to the wireless environment inside the underground utility tunnels. We analyzed the data transmission rate, signal strength, and signal-to-noise ratio for each section of the terrain of the underground utility tunnels. The obtained results provide an appropriate wireless planning approach for installing wireless networks in underground utility tunnels.
