음악을 하는 세 청년에게서 관찰된 공황발작의 의미 (The Meaning of Panic Attacks in Three Young People who Play Music)

  • 이 글은 음악을 하는 20대 초반 청년들에게 발생한 공황발작의 의미를 분석 심리학적으로 이해해보고자 하는 시도이다. 공황발작은 주로 20대에 발생한다고 알려진 불안신경증의 일종으로 다양한 자율신경계 증상에 동반되는 극심한 공포와 두려움이 특징이다. 공황발작과 감정기복, 자살사고나 자해행동이 동반된 세 사례에서 공황발작이 나타났던 상황을 살펴보고, 각 사례에서 공황발작의 심리적 의미를 살펴보았다. 첫 번째 사례의 공황발작은 무의식적인 상태로 남아 있고자 하는 이에게 의식성을 가지고 생각하거나 사고하게끔 한다. 두 번째 사례에서 미래를 향한 삶으로의 전진을 망설이며 갈등하는 이에게 내면의 문을 열어 자신의 깊은 마음과 접촉할 수 있게 하여 갈등을 초월할 가능성을 열어주기도 한다. 세 번째 사례에서는 무의식의 실현되고자 하는 본능과 충동을 공황발작으로 경험하고, 그 충동을 의식적으로 실현해간다. 각각 다른 의미가 있는 것처럼 보이는 그들의 공황발작은 청년기 이전 시기의 의식 수준으로부터 새로워질 것을 촉구하는 무의식의 강력한 접근일 것이다.

진화론적 방법을 활용한 영성 개념분석 (Evolutionary Concept Analysis of Spirituality)

  • Purpose: This study was done to clarify attributes, antecedents, and consequences of spirituality. Methods: Rodgers's evolutionary concept analysis was used to analyze fifty seven studies from the literature related to spirituality as it appears in systematic literature reviews of theology, medicine, counseling & psychology, social welfare, and nursing. Results: Spirituality was found to consist of two dimensions and eight attributes: 1) vertical dimension: 'intimacy and connectedness with God' and 'holy life and belief', 2) horizontal dimension: 'self-transcendence', 'meaning and purpose in life', 'self-integration', and 'self-creativity' in relationship with self, 'connectedness' and 'trust' in relationship with others neighbors nature. Antecedents of spirituality were socio-demographic, religious, psychological, and health related characteristics. Consequences of spirituality were positive and negative. Being positive included 'life centered on God' in vertical dimension, and among horizontal dimension 'joy', 'hope', 'wellness', 'inner peace', and 'self-actualization' in relationship with self, 'doing in love' and 'extended life toward neighbors and the world' in relationship with others neighbors nature. Being negative was defined as having 'guilt', 'inner conflict', 'loneliness', and 'spiritual distress'. Facilitators of spirituality were stressful life events and experiences. Conclusion: Spirituality is a multidimensional concept. Unchangeable attributes of spirituality are 'connectedness with God', 'self-transcendence', 'meaning of life' and 'connectedness with others nature'. Unchangeable consequences of spirituality are 'joy' and 'hope'. The findings suggest that the dimensional framework of spirituality can be used to assess the current spiritual state of patients. Based on these results, the development of a Korean version of the scale measuring spirituality is recommended.

개항질서법상 항법적용 (A Study on A Proper Application for The Navigational Rules in The Public Order in Open Port Act)

  • 해항선이 목적항에 접근하게 되면, 교통량은 증가하고, 특히, 항만입구에는 해상교통이 집중하면 항내 항로는 더욱 좁아진다. 따라서 기안에는 선박충돌을 방지하기 위한 특별한 항법규정이 필요하며, 우리나라에서는 개항질서법에 이들 규정을 두고 있다. 그러나 관련 항법규정이 서로 충돌하는 경우, 어느 것을 우선 적용하여야 하는가에 대한 문제와 그 규정의 정확한 의미를 규명할 필요가 있다. 왜냐하면 관련 항법의 해석과 적용에 대한 오해는 선박충돌의 원인이 되기 때문이다. 따라서 이 연구는 개항질서법상 항법 규정에 관하여 법해석학적으로 검토하고, 이를 통하여 올바른 항법적용에 관한 기준을 제시하고자 한다.

페루 - 볼리비아 접경 푸노(Puno) 지역 아이마라(Aymara)원주민 종족갈등의 원인 (The Historical Origin of the Conflict of the Aymara of Peru and Bolivia, Centered on Puno)

  • 라틴아메리카 대륙에서 안데스 산맥지역은 다양한 원주민종족 집단이 집중적으로 분포되어 있다. 이러한 종족 중에서 아이마라족은 케추아족과 함께 가장 대표적인 원주민 집단을 구성한다. 특히 티티카카호수를 중심으로 페루와 볼리비아 양국 접경지역에 밀집되어 있는 아이마라 원주민은 각각 국가의 소속을 달리하지만 하나의 삶의 터전 속에 동일한 문화권을 형성하며 공통의 정체성을 추구해 왔다. 그동안 아이마라 원주민은 종족의 정체성을 구성하는 언어를 바탕으로 다른 원주민 집단과 구분되는 역사성과 특수성을 강조하며 동일종족으로서의 유대감을 유지해왔다. 그러나 최근 들어 양국 접경지역의 중심지인 푸노(Puno)주를 중심으로 아이마라 원주민의 종족갈등이 표면화 되고 있다. 독립이후 근대국가 건설과정에서 형성된 인위적인 영토 경계선으로 분리된 이후 라틴아메리카 원주민은 협조와 경쟁이라는 틀 속에서 문화적 유사성과 동시에 차이를 강조하기 시작하였다. 이러한 역사적 맥락과 함께 최근 들어 페루와 볼리비아 접경지역을 중심으로 동일한 종족이 서로 다른 국가의 틀에 묶이면서 발생하는 새로운 종족 갈등이 전개되고 있다. 아이마라 원주민은 외부와의 경쟁에서 문화와 역사적 특수성을 강조하며 자신들을 하나의 단일한 종족으로 인식하며 단결하지만, 내부의 이해관계를 둘러싸고 충돌할 경우 서로가 문화적 전통을 상실했다는 비난을 가하며 종족 내부에서도 차별과 구별의 정체성을 형성하는 경향을 나타냈다. 종족간의 갈등은 한 지역에 공존하고 있는 타 종족간의 갈등에서 비롯되는 경향이 있으나 페루와 볼리비아 아이마라 원주민의 경우 양국이 접경을 유지하고 있는 푸노주를 중심으로 오랜 역사를 통해 형성된 종족의 유대감이 현실의 조건에 의해 갈등구조로 변화하는 양상을 타나내고 있다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 본 연구는 아이마라 원주민 종족갈등의 심화원인을 분석하였다.

말기암 환자의 호스피스 수용 경험: 현상학적 연구 (Experience in Acceptance of Hospice by Patients with Terminal Cancer : A Phenomenological Research)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to further understanding of the experience in acceptance of hospice by patients with terminal cancer and to explore the structure of this experience. Methods: A phenomenological methodology was used for the study. Participants were nine patients who were admitted to the hospice unit of a university hospital. In-depth interviews were done for data collection and the data were analyzed using Colaizzi's method. Results: Four categories, eight theme clusters and 18 themes were identified for the experience in acceptance of hospice by patients with terminal cancer. The three categories were 'Hope for a comfortable death', 'Overcoming barrier of prejudice about hospice', 'Incessant craving for life', 'The last consideration for self and family' Conclusion: While accepting the hospice care, participants experienced inner conflict between giving up medical treatments that prolong life and choosing a comfortable death, and also experienced an incessant craving for life. By accepting hospice care, they showed a human dignity that entails careful concerns for both self and family members.

음악치료를 적용하여 호전된 신체형 장애 여환 치험 1례 (Application of Music-Listening Intervention for Somatoform Disorder : A Case Report)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to report the effect of music-listening intervention and relaxation for somatoform disorder. Methods : A 51 year-old female patient suffered from several somatic symptoms without identifiable physical cause. We saw her symptoms were related to her psychological factors. We applied music-listening intervention and relaxation besides Korean traditional medical treatment to make her be aware of her psychological condition such as inner conflict and know symptoms are related to her psychological condition. Results : After the music-listening intervention and relaxation, the patient revealed her unrecognized hidden feelings and emotions and got some insights about herself. Then somatic symptoms such as dysesthesia and urinary frequency and anxiety were decreased considerably. Conclusions : These results suggest that the music-listening intervention and relaxation can be effective on improvement of soma to form disorder.

차브(CHAV) 패션 특성 연구 (A Study of Characteristics of CHAV Fashion)

  • The 21th century is the time-area where knowledge, information and culture are considered as the pivotal factor for keeping society. Thus, this affects every part which consists of culture. By 2000, various cultural changes create several culture trends all over the world. Above all, advent of CHAV is the remarkable cultural phenomenon because of its life style, fashion and self-awareness. This study analyzes CHAV's life style and fashion based on regarding it as subordinate culture. In terms of these aspects, CHAV's fashion can be divided into three parts by its inner and outer traits. The first is merrymaking style which is composed of combination, parody and excessive decoration of different factors. This is a kind of Pop-Art style that imitates mass consuming culture. The second is ostentation style which emphasizes CHAV's traits and acts group behavior. The third is violence style. CHAV tries to appear violent and indifferent for gaining their rights and power. As a result, CHAV is the rebounding phenomenon that means psychological fear and conflict which neglected people have to resist official authority.

현대복식에 나타난 매너리즘(Mannerism)적 경향에 관한연구 (A study on the Mannerism tendencies in the Contemporary Costume)

  • The Mannerism which was born on Italy in 16th century was the critical trend of art influencing the political economical and psychological trends and was the first mo-dality which respected the individual sense of artist. The cultural situation of that time es-pecially the alienation of men is similar to the pluralism of value the coexistency of conflict the acceptance of heterogeneity and uncer-tainty I modern century. This paper analysed the pattern of change in the trend of Mannerism in modern costume by comparing current trend from the past focus-ing th fact that the over-all situation in this century is similar to that of Mannerism in 16th century. In this paper the author suggests the Defor-mation Ambiguity and Irreglarity as the character of manneristic trend which has re-solved the sense of alienation of men by paradoxic expression. The results of comparing the characteristic of mannerism to the modern costume is followd; 1. The Deformation in modern costume is grossly subdivided to the transfrmation of morphology the transformation of scale and the breakdown of equilibrium 2. The ambiguity in the modern costume can be subdivided to the eclecticistic expression and the ambiguity of spatial concept(between inner and outer garments). 3. The illogiclities in modern costume are the technique of illusion structural illogicality and the collage technique.

스플레터 영화 분장의 미적 특성 연구 (A Study on the Aesthetic Characteristics of Splatter Films' Make-up)

  • The purpose of this paper is to clarify the aesthetic characteristics of splatter films' make-up. Splatter films are one of horror movies that consist of gore and excessive violence. These represent the cruelty with the victims' physical damages made by special effect make-up. Splatter make-up is classified into the trickle of blood, the cutting of body, and the exposure of the inner parts of body, and changes a fake into a fact with reality. The aesthetic characteristics of splatter make-up were shown in the uncanny, the abjection and the irony. The uncanny which is strange and displeasure feeling is presented by the fragmentation of body, and the living of nonliving thing. The abjection means humble image, and the concept of border or ambiguity. The former is expressed by the matters of body's secretion and excretion. The latter is shown by the use of blood(the life and death) and corpses(the human and inhuman), and animatronics(the human and instruments). The irony which is a sense of humor caused by conflict between external appearance and reality. This is represented by comics induced by discord between excessive violence and make-up tricks, and the brutality and the weakness.

블루스 전통에서 바라본 제니스 조플린의 위반 : 공연을 중심으로 (Janis Joplin's transgression in blues tradition: focusing on blues performance)

  • While Janis Joplin is generally known as a hippie rock star of an untimely death to Korean audience, she is more strongly evoked in the image of blues mama in American context. Blues, definitely based on African-American vernacular tradition, is defined as a matrix, which is "a point of ceaseless input and output, a web of intersecting, crisscrossing impulses always in productive transit," to borrow Houston A. Baker's expression. This article explores how her life and music can be understood in blues tradition, especially in terms of personal and social transgression for which she was criticized, focusing on her blues performance. First of all, born and growing up in southern Texas between 1940s and 1960s, she expressed her innate suspicion against segregation and white supremacy, actively embracing rich black musical heritage of the area. Second, against the normative social and moral expectation of a middle class white woman to be a suburban housewife, she sought her own desire, whether it was professional ambition or sexual possibility. Third, beyond the selling image of a heterosexually lascivious blues mama, she dared to be a homosexual and bisexual, while it was not publically acknowledged. Along with her alcohol and drug dependence, such transgressions against normative social expectation were not made without her inner conflict, leaving a trace of trauma, hesitation, and the blues. While she was "buried alive in the blues," as a sacrifice at the altar of the 1960s, she still remains "alive" provoking "fire inside of everyone of us."
