Reliability growth rate (or reliability growth curve slope) have the two cases of trend as a constant or changing one during the reliability growth testing. The changing case is very common situation. The reasons of reliability growth rate changing are that the failures to follow the NHPP (None-Homogeneous Poisson Process), and the solutions implemented during test to break out other problems or not to take out all of the root cause permanently. If the changing were big, the "Goodness of Fit (GOF)" of reliability growth curve to test data would be very low and then reduce the accuracy of assessing result with test data. In this research, we are using Duane model and AMSAA model for assessing test data and projecting the reliability level of complex and repairable system as like construction equipment and vehicle. In case of no changing in reliability growth rate, it is reasonable for reliability engineer to implement the original Duane model (1964) and Crow-AMSAA model (1975) for the assessment and projection activity. However, in case of reliability growth rate changing, it is necessary to find the method to increase the "GOF" of reliability growth curves to test data. To increase GOF of reliability growth curves, it is necessary to find the proper parameter calculation method of interesting reliability growth models that are applicable to the situation of reliability growth rate changing. Since the Duane and AMSAA models have a characteristic to get more strong influence from the initial test (or failure) data than the latest one, the both models have a limitation to contain the latest test data information that is more important and better to assess test data in view of accuracy, especially when the reliability growth rate changing. The main objective of this research is to find the parameter calculation method to reflect the latest test data in the case of reliability growth rate changing. According to my experience in vehicle and construction equipment developments over 18 years, over the 90% in the total development cases are with such changing during the developing test. The objective of this research was to develop the newly assessing method and the process for GOF level increasing in case of reliability growth rate changing that would contribute to achieve more accurate assessing and projecting result. We also developed the new evaluation method for GOF that are applicable to the both models as Duane and AMSAA, so it is possible to compare it between models and check the effectiveness of new parameter calculation methods in any interesting situation. These research results can reduce the decision error for development process and business control with the accurately assessing and projecting result.

In Japan, more than 80 % of soybean growing area is converted fields and excess water is one of the major problems in soybean production. For example, recent study (Yoshifuji et al., 2016) suggested that in the fields of shallow groundwater level (GWL) (< 1m depth), rising GWL even in a short period (e.g. 1 day) causes inhibition of soybean growth. Thus it becomes more and more important to predict GWL and soil moisture in detail. In addition to conventional surface drainage and underdrain, FOEAS (Farm Oriented Enhancing Aquatic System), which is expected to control GWL in fields adequately, has been developed recently. In this study we attempted to predict GWL and soil moisture condition at the converted field with FOEAS in Biwa lake reclamation area, Shiga prefecture, near the center of the main island of Japan. Two dimensional HYDRUS model (Simuinek et al., 1999) based on common Richards' equation, was used for the calculation of soil water movement. The calculation domain was considered to be 10 and 5 meter in horizontal and vertical direction, respectively, with two layers, i.e. 20cm-thick of plowed layer and underlying subsoil layer. The center of main underdrain (10 cm in diameter) was assumed to be 5 meter from the both ends of the domain and 10-60cm depth from the surface in accordance with the field experiment. The hydraulic parameters of the soil was estimated with the digital soil map in "Soil information web viewer" and Agricultural soil-profile physical properties database, Japan (SolphyJ) (Kato and Nishimura, 2016). Hourly rainfall depth and daily potential evapo-transpiration rate data were given as the upper boundary condition (B.C.). For the bottom B.C., constant upward flux, which meant the inflow flux to the field from outside, was given. Seepage face condition was employed for the surrounding of the underdrain. Initial condition was employed as GWL=60cm. Then we compared the simulated and observed results of volumetric water content at depth of 15cm and GWL. While the model described the variation of GWL well, it tended to overestimate the soil moisture through the growing period. Judging from the field condition, and observed data of soil moisture and GWL, consideration of soil structure (e.g. cracks and clods) in determination of soil hydraulic parameters at the plowed layer may improve the simulation results of soil moisture.

Recently, WBAN(Wireless Body Area Network) which has progressed standardization based on IEEE 802.15.6 standardization is a network for the purpose of the short-range wireless communications within around 3 meters from the inner or outer human body. Effective QoS control technique and data efficient management in limited bandwidth such as audio and video are important elements in terms of users and loads in short-range wireless networks. In this paper, for high-speed WBAN IEEE 802.15.6 standard, the dynamic allocation to give an efficient bandwidth management and weighted fair queueing algorithm have been proposed through the adjustment of the super-frame about limited data and Quality of Service (QoS) based on the queuing algorithm. Weighted Fair Queueing(WFQ) Algorithm represents the robust performance about elements to qualitative aspects as well as maintaining fairness and maximization of system performance. The performance results show that the dynamic allocation expanded transmission bandwidth five times and the weighted fair queueing increased maximum 24.3 % throughput and also resolved delay bound problem.

In this paper, a potable device application for DC-DC converter was designed for voltage protection circuit. Voltage protection circuit to offer the under voltage lock out and over voltage protection consists of a comparator and bais circuits were implemented using. XFAB 1um CMOS process, SPICE simulations was confirmed through the characteristics. Simulation results, under voltage lock out input voltage is 4.8 V higher when the turn-on and, 4.2 V less when turn-off. When the input voltage is low voltage is applied can be used to prevent malfunction of the circuit. Over voltage protection is 3.8 V reference voltage when the output voltage caused by blocking circuit prevents device destruction can be used to improve the stability and reliability. The virtual control circuits of the DC-DC converter connected. According to the results of the abnormal voltage, voltage protection circuit behavior was confirmed. The proposed voltage protection circuit of the DC-DC converter cell is useful are considered.
Ultrasonography is non-invasive and can give useful clues in the diagnosis of cervical lymphadenopathy, However, differential diagnosis is difficult in some situations even combined with color Doppler imaging. The present study was conducted to evaluate the clinical value of real time elastography in patients with unexplained cervical lymphadenopathy using a quantitative method. From May 2011 to February 2012, 39 enlarged lymph nodes from 39 patients with unexplained cervical lymphadenopathy were assessed. All the patients were examined by both B-mode ultrasound, color Doppler flow imaging and elastography. The method of analyzing elasto-graphic data was the calculation of the 10 parametres ("mean", "sd", "area%", "com", "kur", "ske", "con", "ent", "idm", "asm") offered by the software integrated into the Hitachi system. The findings were then correlated with the definitive tissue diagnosis obtained by lymph node dissection or biopsy. Final histology revealed 10 cases of metastatic lymph nodes, 11 cases of lymphoma, 12 cases of tuberculosis and 6 cases of nonspecific lymphadenitis. The significant distinguishing features for conventional ultrasound were the maximum short diameter (p=0.007) and absent of echogenic hilum (p=0.0293). The diagnostic accuracy was 43.6% (17/39 cases) and there were 17 patients with equivocal diagnosis. For elastography, "mean" (p=0.003), "area%" (p=0.009), "kurt" (p=0.0291), "skew" (p=0.014) and "cont" (p=0.012) demonstrated significant differences between groups. With 9 of the 17 patients with previous equivocal diagnoses (52.9%) definite and correct diagnoses could be obtained. The diagnostic accuracy for conventional ultrasound combined elastography was 69.2% (27/39 cases). There were differences in the diagnostic sensitivity of the two methods (p=0.0224). Ultrasound combined with elastography demonstrated higher rates of conclusive and accurate diagnoses in patients with unexplained cervical lymphadenopathy than conventional ultrasound. The quantitative program showed good correlation with the pathology of different lymph node diseases.
Objective: Average daily gain (ADG) is an important target trait of pig breeding programs. We aimed to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and genomic regions that are associated with ADG in the Duroc pig population. Methods: We performed a genome-wide association study involving 390 Duroc boars and by using the PorcineSNP60K Beadchip and two linear models. Results: After quality control, we detected 3,5971 SNPs, which included seven SNPs that are significantly associated with the ADG of pigs. We identified six quantitative trait loci (QTL) regions for ADG. These QTLs included four previously reported QTLs on Sus scrofa chromosome (SSC) 1, SSC5, SSC9, and SSC13, as well as two novel QTLs on SSC6 and SSC16. In addition, we selected six candidate genes (general transcription factor 3C polypeptide 5, high mobility group AT-hook 2, nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase, oligodendrocyte transcription factor 1, pleckstrin homology and RhoGEF domain containing G4B, and ENSSSCG00000031548) associated with ADG on the basis of their physiological roles and positional information. These candidate genes are involved in skeletal muscle cell differentiation, diet-induced obesity, and nervous system development. Conclusion: This study contributes to the identification of the casual mutation that underlies QTLs associated with ADG and to future pig breeding programs based on marker-assisted selection. Further studies are needed to elucidate the role of the identified candidate genes in the physiological processes involved in ADG regulation.

Purpose: Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has been widely used as an antiemetic agent. This systematic review was aimed at evaluation of the effect of dried ginger powder supplementation on improvement of nausea and vomiting associated with early pregnancy or motion sickness. Methods: We searched Pubmed, Cochrane, Science Direct, and KISS (Korean studies Information Service System) using keywords such as ginger or Zingiber officinale in combination with nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, or pregnancy, published in March 2013. Results: The strength of the evidence was evaluated on the selected 12 RCTs (randomized controlled trials). Eleven trials including 2,630 subjects showed that supplementation with dried ginger powder resulted in significant improvement of nausea or vomiting related to early pregnancy or motion sickness. Among the nine studies including 809 women in early pregnancy before 20 weeks of gestation, ginger supplementation was superior to placebo in five studies (n = 305), and as effective as positive control (vitamin $B_6$ or dimenhydrinate) in four studies (n = 504). Ginger intake significantly reduced the episodes or severity of vomiting related to motion sickness compared to placebo or showed the same effect as several antiemetic drugs in two studies (n = 1,821). Conclusion: Our findings added evidence indicating that ginger powder supplements might improve the symptoms of nausea or vomiting related to early pregnancy or motion sickness without significant adverse events.
High-barrier films are used to store cultural heritage objects in a safe environment sealed from oxygen and moisture. One of the high-barrier films use populary E manufactured by Japanese company M from the 1990's. However, this product has stayed in wide use, due to dearth of research on related subjects - including studies comparing it with other similar products-, in spite of the fact that high price information about its characteristics and environmental conditions is largely lacking. This study examines the characteristics of a number of high-barrier films with the goal to establish environmental standards for safer conservation of cultural heritage objects. E by the Japanese manufacturer M is compared with four other films; an electronics packaging films by a Korean firm, a film specially produced for the purposes of experiment in this study and a zipper bag-type film. Experiments were performed to compare the properties and gas blocking ability of the films by looking at their cross-section and measuring the thickness, tensile strength, elongation, absorbance of UV and visible light, yellowing and the permeability for oxygen and vapor. Based on these experiments, there are observed changes under different environmental conditions and depending on the length of use through temparature and humidification reproucing test. The results showed that while the high-barrier film by the Korean manufacturer was suitable for use as a packaging material for cultural heritage objects, the zipper bag-type film (P) was ill-adapted for this purpose. Based on the experiments reproducing the real-world environment, the length of useful life was also determined for each.

In this paper we present a Distributed Object oriented Virtual computing Environment, called DOVE which consists of autonomous distributed objects interacting with one another via method invocations based on a distributed object model. DOVE appears to a user logically as a single virtual computer for a set of heterogeneous hosts connected by a network as if objects in remote site reside in one virtual computer. By supporting efficient parallelism, heterogeneity, group communication, single global name service and fault-tolerance, it provides a transparent and easy-to-use programming environment for parallel applications. Efficient parallelism is supported by diverse remote method invocation, multiple method invocation for object group, multi-threaded architecture and synchronization schemes. Heterogeneity is achieved by automatic data arshalling and unmarshalling, and an easy-to-use and transparent programming environment is provided by stub and skeleton objects generated by DOVE IDL compiler, object life control and naming service of object manager. Autonomy of distributed objects, multi-layered architecture and decentralized approaches in hierarchical naming service and object management make DOVE more extensible and scalable. Also,fault tolerance is provided by fault detection in object using a timeout mechanism, and fault notification using asynchronous exception handling methods
Trusted Computing is a hardware-based technology that aims to guarantee security for machines beyond their users' control by providing security on computing hardware and software. TPM(Trusted Platform Module), the trusted platform specified by the Trusted Computing Group, acts as the roots for the trusted data storage and the trusted reporting of platform configuration. Data sealing encrypts secret data with a key and the platform's configuration at the time of encryption. In contrast to the traditional data sealing based on binary hash values of the platform configuration, a new approach called property-based data sealing was recently suggested. In this paper, we propose and analyze a new property-based data sealing protocol using the weakest precondition concept by Dijkstra. The proposed protocol resolves the problem of system updates by allowing sealed data to be unsealed at any configuration providing the required property. It assumes practically implementable trusted third parties only and protects platform's privacy when communicating. We demonstrate the proposed protocol's operability with any TPM chip by implementing and running the protocol on a software TPM emulator by Strasser. The proposed scheme can be deployed in PDAs and smart phones over wireless mobile networks as well as desktop PCs.
