시스템 통합의 포괄적인 의미로는 사용자요구를 만족시키고, 사업의 성공을 위해 하드웨어, 소프트웨어, 네트워크, 시스템개발, 유지보수, 교육, 인력 등을 자기 책임하에 조달 확보하여 제공하는 것이다. 그러나 아직 이에 대한 기본개념이 정립되지 있지 않고 추진절차에 따른 모델링작업이 되어 있지 않다. 본고에서는 첫째, SI에 대한 기본개념을 실무중심으로 정립하고 둘째, SI추진절차를 최신기법의 대형 프로젝트를 중심으로 모델링화 작업을 하였다. 이러한 추진방법론을 바탕으로 일반 SI사업뿐만 아니라 GIS사업추진시에 단독으로 시스템을 구축하기보다는 조직의 SI 사업의 일환으로 조직전략과 IT기술을 연계하여 시스템을 구축함으로서 국가 및 산업경쟁력을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

생물학자들은 특정 암이나 선천성 질병을 이해하는데 핵심정보를 제공할 수 있는 유전자관련 연구를 진행하고 있다. 하지만 생물학적 실험은 실험당시의 여러 가지 요소나 상황의 차이 또는 해석의 차이에 의해 서로 다른 결과를 생성하기도 한다. 따라서 현존하는 연구 결과들은 서로 상이한 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 유전자 정보의 통합을 통하여 이러한 불일치를 찾을 수 있다. 유전자 정보들이 불일치가 없이 통합 된다면 생물학자들은 어떤 유전자 정보를 알기 위해서 여러 연구 결과를 검토하지 않아도 되어 시간과 노력을 절감할 수 있게 된다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 서로 다른 연구에 의해 구축된 유전자 정보를 하나의 정보로 통합 및 확장하는 기법을 소개한다.

엔터프라이즈 정보화를 추진하는데 있어서 가장 심각한 문제 중 하나는 서로 연계 통합되지 않은 사일로(Silo) 시스템 문제이다. 정보전략계획(Information Strategy Planning)은 비즈니스에 필요한 개별시스템 기능성 도출에 국한되어 오히려 이러한 사일로 문제를 가중시키고 있다. 본 연구는 엔터프라이즈 사일로 문제가 엔터프라이즈 제반 요소들이 가지는 관계에 대한 총체적 시각, 곧 '아키텍처적 시각'이 부재하기 때문이라고 보고, 이러한 엔터프라이즈 요소간 관계를 정의하고 체계화할 수 있는 '엔터프라이즈 아키텍처 지향 모델'을 제안한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 엔터프라이즈 제반 구성요소들 상호간에 수직적, 수평적 관계성을 부여하고 엔터프라이즈가 이들 관계에 있어서 거치는 진화의 단계를 설정한다. 엔터프라이즈 아키텍처 지향 모델에서 수직적 관계는 Kaplan과 Norton의 연구로부터 도출된 성과, 역량, 전략이라는 세 요소가 조직 상하간에 전략적 관리적 측면에서 '연계(Alignment)'되어야 함을 의미한다. 수평적 관계는 Ross 등이 통합 대상으로 다룬 정보기술, 데이터/프로세스, 비즈니스 컴포넌트 요소들이 수평 조직간에 기능적 실행적 측면에서 '통합(Integration)'되어야 함을 강조한다. 본 모델은 엔터프라이즈의 현재와 미래 아키텍처를 사상하는 개념공간으로서 엔터프라이즈의 현재 모습을 파악하고 엔터프라이즈가 지향하는 미래 모습을 도출하며 현재에서 미래로의 이행을 인도하는 개념적 틀로서 작용하게 된다. 끝으로 본 모델의 적용 사례를 들고 모델의 적용이 각 엔터프라이즈가 지향하는 엔터프라이즈 모습에 따라 어떻게 달라질 수 있는지를 논의한다.

As the Proliferation of the Internet, especially World Wide Web, numerous information resources have been constructed. The characteristics of information resources on the Internet are that the information resources are distributed, autonomous, and heterogeneous. Moreover each information resource has its own query method, data representation, and schema structure. The integration of information resources is one of the most important research issues in the Internet data management. The task of information resources integration system is to answer queries that require extracting and combining data from multiple information sources. In this paper, we propose an XML-based Mediation Framework(XMF) for integrating the Internet information resources.

The 10 Year Implementation Plan for a Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), which was endorsed at the Third Earth Observation Summit in Brussels in February, 2005, emphasizes the importance of data management facilities for diverse and large-volume Earth Observation data from inhomogeneous information sources. A three year research plan for addressing this key target of GEOSS has just approved as the first step by the Japanese government. The goals of this research are, (1) to develop a data management core system consisting of data integration and information fusion functions and interoperability and information service functions; (2) to establish data and information flows between data providers and users; (3) to promote application studies of data integration and information fusion, especially in the fields of weather forecasting, flood forecasting, agricultural management, and climate variability and changes. The research group involves leading scientists on information science and technology, who have been developing giant data archive servers, storage area networks, metadata models, ontology for the earth observations. They are closely cooperating with scientists on earth sciences, water resources management, and agriculture, and establishing an effective collaborative research framework.

본 연구에서는 초등정보영재의 창의성 신장을 위한 방법의 하나로 교과 통합 로봇 프로그래밍 수업 모형을 개발하였다. 개발한 수업 모형은 초등학교 5, 6학년 정보영재 학생들을 대상으로 적용하고 효과를 분석하였다. 실험집단에는 교과 통합 로봇 프로그래밍 수업을 실시하고, 비교집단에는 도전 과제들로 구성되어 학생들이 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 겪는 오차를 수정하는 형태의 일반적 로봇 프로그래밍 수업을 실시하였다. 적용 결과 실험집단의 학생들이 창의적 성향, 창의적 인지 능력에서 유의하게 향상된 결과를 나타내었으며 이는 본 연구를 통해 개발한 교과 통합 로봇 프로그래밍 수업 모형이 초등정보영재의 창의적 성향, 창의적 인지 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 볼 수 있다.

RFID 기술은 기업으로 하여금 단품 수준에서의 의사 결정을 통한 정교한 재고 관리를 가능하게 한다. 최근 EPCglobal과 같은 RFID 정보 교환 표준이 보급됨에 따라 RFID 시스템은 RFID 하드웨어, 미들웨어, 정보 저장소로 구성된 정보 시스템으로 간주되고 있으며 이는 중요한 시스템 통합의 대상으로 부상하였다. 본 연구에서는 RFID 시스템과 기업정보시스템의 효과적인 연동을 위하여 연동 모델 선택 절차와 각 절차별 고려사항을 총 다섯 가지 단계로 구성한 RFID 시스템-기업정보시스템 연동 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 또한 국내 RFID 시스템과 기업정보시스템 연동 현황과 향후 적합한 연동 모델을 설문 조사를 통하여 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 연동 프레임워크와 설문 결과는 RFID 시스템을 처음 도입하는 기업이 RFID 시스템과 기업정보시스템을 효과적으로 통합할 수 있도록 기여할 것이다.

Most recently, offshore Engineering & Construction field is concerned about integration management technology such as CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing), PDM(Product Data Management) and Enterprise Information Engineering in order to cope with the rapid change of engineering and manufacturer specification as per owner's requirement during construction stage of the project. System integration and integrated data modeling with relational database in integration management technology improve the quality of product and reduce the period of the construction project by reason of owing design information jointly. This paper represents the design methodology of system integration using Business Process Reengineering by the case study. The case study is about the offshore plant material information process from front end engineering design to detail engineering for the construction and the basis of monitoring system by integrating and sharing the design information between the 2D intelligent P&ID and 3D plant modeling using relational database. As a result of the integrated data modeling and system integration, it is possible to maintain the consistency of design process in point of view of the material balancing and reduce the design assumption/duration. Near future, this system will be expanded and connected with the MRP(Material Requirement Planing) and the POR (Purchase Order Requisition) system.

The era of information technologies has stimulated the demand of educational reform based on the use of information and communication technology (ICT). It requires explicit guidelines, vibrant objectives, mobilization of resources and political commitment at all levels of the country to achieve the desired results. However, change is not easy, it requires to overcome the impediments that hinder the successful integration of ICT in public schools. The pace of this reform is active in developed countries, while developing countries are lagging behind in achieving the required goals. The foremost purpose of this study is to highlight the barriers in the effective integration of ICT faced by developed countries in general and developing countries in particular. Reviewing the impediments to the integration of ICT in public schools may assist educators to become technology adopters in the future. Findings of the study reveal that intrinsic barriers are easy to surmount; once extrinsic barriers have been subdued successfully.

The INS/GPS integration system is designed by employing an adaptive filter that can estimate the measurement noise variance using the residual of the filter. To verify the efficiency of the proposed loosely-coupled INS/GPS integration system, simulation is performed by assuming that GPS information has large position errors. Simulation results show that the proposed integration system with the adaptive filter is more effective in estimating the position and attitude errors than those with the Extended Kalman Filter.
