Providing information on corporate level decision making for multiple decision makers in a consistent way is essential in Decision Support Systems. However, since the decision makers have different background and knowledge, the models used by them are also different in representation models. This makes the decision makers require a lot of efforts for model integration in an integrated decision making. The purpose of this paper is to propose an integration mechanism for synthetic use of multi-abstraction level decision making models. The proposed integration mechanism consists of model interpretation phase, model transformation phase and model integration phase. Specifically, the model transformation phase is divided into model tightening mode which gather information to makes a model transformed into upper level model, and model relaxing mode which makes lower level model.
An intelligent system embedded with multiple sources of knowledge may provide more robust intelligence with highly ill structured problems than the system with a single source of knowledge. This paper proposes th hybrid knowledge integration mechanism that yields the cooperated knowledge by integrating expert, user, and machine knowledge within the fuzzy logic-driven framework, and then refines it with a genetic algorithm (GA) to enhance the reasoning performance. The proposed knowledge integration mechanism is applied for the prediction of Korea stock price index (KOSPI). Empirical results show that the proposed mechanism can make an intelligent system with the more adaptable and robust intelligence.

This study explores a model of partnership to the success of outsourcing CTI(computer telephony integration) based customer service centers of a telecommunication service company. The motivation of the study is to extend the research on IT outsourcing to IT-enabled BPO of customer service centers as a specific IT outsourcing practice. Previous research on IT outsourcing partnership and success is reviewed for developing an a research model of IT-enabled BPO. This model is proposed based on the previous partnership success models in information systems research. The results of the study confirm major factors related to successful IT-enabled BPO in previous research. Especially, the specificity of a contract and strategic collaboration in partnership are found to be influential on the success of IT-enabled BPO.
In conventional GPS/DR integration schemes, the GPS position (or pseudo-range) information is used in calibrating DR sensors. In those schemes, however, an inaccurate calibration may degrade the position accuracy when the GPS measurement is not available. This paper presents a new integration scheme where the GPS velocity information is used in calibrating DR sensors. Also proposed is a new error model of DR sensors for calibrating the bias error and the tilt error in dynamic environments. The proposed model makes it possible that the errors of both the DR sensor parameters and the velocity are calibrated using the GPS carrier-based velocity(or the pseudo-range rate) measurement while the DR position error is calibrated using the GPS position measurement. Since the DR sensors are calibrated accurately, the positioning accuracy is drastically improved when the GPS measurements are unavailable.
This study focuses on MRO e-Marketplace and attempts to research how companies select the structure of e-Marketplace governance and how it influences purchasing performance. Furthermore, a longitudinal study is conducted to analyze the dynamic relationship between variables in our research model. The research gives the following results. First, as the utilization level of e-Marketplace increases, the level of relational exchange between purchasing company and e-Marketplace increases. The increased utilization level enhances purchasing efficiency rather than reducing purchasing price. Secondly, as the level of relational exchange between purchasing companies and e-Marketplace increases, system integration increases, whereas supply externality decreases. Accordingly, system integration improves purchasing efficiency, whereas the low supply externality does not help lower purchasing price. Third, compared to the initial growth stage, the stable stage of e-Marketplace has the significantly increased level of relational exchange and purchasing efficiency through system integration, rather than the reduction of purchasing price by supply externality.
The GPS attitude output or carrier phase observables can be effectively utilized to compensate the attitude error of the strapdown inertial navigation system. However, when the integer ambiguity is not correctly resolved and/or a cycle slip occurs, an erroneous GPS output can be obtained. If the erroneous GPS information is directly applied to the AGPS/INS integration system, the performance of the system can be rapidly degraded. This paper proposes an AGPS/INS integration system using the triple difference carrier phase observables. The proposed integration system contains a cycle slip detection algorithm, in which inertial information is combined. Computer simulations and van test were performed to verify the proposed integration system. The results show that the proposed system gives an accurate and reliable navigation solution even when the integer ambiguity is not correct and the cycle slip occurs.
In this present work, trimmed surface analysis for the 2D elasticity problem is presented. The main benefit of the proposed method is that no additional modeling for analysis of a trimmed surface is necessary. As the first attempt to deal with a trimmed surface in spline FEM, the information of the trimming curve and trimmed surface exported from CAD system is directly utilized for analysis. For this, trimmed elements are searched through employing projection scheme. For the integration of the trimmed elements, NURBSenhanced integration scheme which is used in NEFEM is adopted. The quadtree refinement of integration cell is performed for the complicated trimmed cases. The information of trimming curve is used for obtaining integration points as well as constructing stiffness matrix. The robustness and effectiveness of the proposed method are investigated by presenting various numerical examples.
Since geographic information systems (GIS) began to emerge as an effective spatial information processing technology, there also has been growing interest in integrated use of GIS with other decision support systems. As various spatial-related problems such as urban development planning and natural resource management require more analytical and interpretive solutions, it is viewed that the supportive role of GIS to complement or reinforce the counterpart decision tools will be increased. This study examines the major situations that have needed the integration methodologies in the past decade to derive research trends relating to this integration agenda and, hence, to elicit the possible underlying principles from those experiences. According to the kinds of decision tools linked with GIS, alternative methodologies and viewpoints are categorized and compared.
