Intra-Motion Compensation Using CSRS method in MRI

  • In the conventional Fourier imaging method in MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), intramotion such as pulsatile flow makes zipper-like artifact along the phase encoding direction. On the other hand, line-integral projection reconstruction (LPR) method has advantages such as imaging of short T2, object and reduction of the flow artifact by elimination of the flow-induced phase fluctuation. The LPR, however, necessarily requires time consuming filtering and back-projection processes, so that the reconstruction takes long time. To overcome the long reconstruction time of the LPR and to obtain the flow artifact reduction effect, we adopted phase corrected concentric square raster sampling (CSRS) method and improved its imaging performance. The CSRS is a fast reconstruction method which has the same properties with the LPR. In this paper, we proposed a new method of flow artifact reduction using the CSRS method. Through computer simulations and experiments, we verified that the proposed method can eliminate phase fluctuations, thereby reducing the flow artifact and re- markably shorten the reconstruction time which required long time in the LPR.

  • This paper describes optimal location of SVC using Optimal Power Flow. The optimal location for SVC decide on the Size of SYC obtained from Optimal Power Flow. The location is selected according to the amounts of SVC. This study is applied to WSCC 9 bus test system.

  • Recently, many multimedia services have emerged in Internet such as real-time and non- real time services. However, in this Internet environment, we have some limitations to satisfy each service feature. To guarantee the service features in Measurement-Based Admission Control(MBAC) based system on the flow-aware network, there is the method applying Dynamic Priority Scheduling(DPS) algorithm that gives a higher priority to an earlier incoming flow in all of the link bandwidth. This paper classifies all flows under several groups according to flow characteristics on per-flow MBAC algorithm based system. In each flow group, DPS algorithm is applied. This paper proposes two methods that are a DPS based bandwidth borrowing method and a bandwidth dynamic allocation method. The former is that if low priority class has available bandwidths, the flow of high priority class borrows the bandwidth of low priority class when high priority flow has insufficient bandwidth to connect a flow call. The later is that the each group has a minimum bandwidth and is allocated the bandwidth dynamically according to the excess rate for available bandwidth. We compare and analyze the characteristics of the two proposed methods through the simulation experiments. As the results of the experiment, the proposed methods are more effective than existing DPS based method on the packet loss and delay characteristics. Consequently the proposed two methods are very useful in various multimedia network environments.

  • Recently, several studies have been carried on knowledge flow of science, technology, industry to establish STI policy. Still it is lack of studies on relationship of science-industry although there have been studied only in aspect of science-technology relationship or technology-industry relationship. This paper's purpose is to propose method to measure knowledge flow among science, technology, and industry by means of patent citation. After gathering knowledge flow data between science and technology through mapping citing patent and cited paper, it gets knowledge flows data between technology-industry by using OTC (OECD Technology Concordance), technology-industry mapping program. Basd on 2 types of knowledge flow data, it propose method to examine knowledge flow from science to industry by applying overlap function is a network link weight function.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a systemized flow of temporary facility(TF) planning information. The current TF planning tends to be established by subjective decision making of field workers. Therefore TF planning needs more systemized information flow to provide a reliable schedule. The study was implemented through interview with experts for reliable TF planning. The main contents of the study are as follows; 1) TF planning process model(IDEF0) are established. 2) Various information flow diagrams proposed to support TF planning decision-making. The study recommends that, as a future research, the computer system be developed for application of the information flow.

  • The research background of this paper is because the u-convergence information system applying flow theory lacks the measurement of tourist satisfaction. The purpose and research method of this study are as follows. The first is the suggestion of flow relation information display format algorithm. Second, by combining this algorithm and flow theory, a pattern algorithm was created according to the content information quality and the personality type of tourists. The expected effect of this study is to derive the success factors of the u-convergence information system by generating a pattern algorithm according to the flow relationship information display format and the tourist's personality type. The limitations of this paper are limited to one area, and objectivity is poor due to the lack of data and small area. In the future, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness through analysis after applying the method presented to other tourist destinations. Future tasks will need to be supplemented with data from expert groups and objectivity in various regions.

Incremental Information Content of Cash Flow and Earnings in the Iranian Capital Market

  • Purpose - This study aims to examine the incremental information content of cash flw from operations and earnings in the Iranian capital market. Design, methodology, and approach - Based on market-based accounting research, this study uses statistical associations between accounting data (earnings and cash flw) and stock returns to assess/measure the incremental information content (value relevance) of cash flw and earnings. A multivariate regression model based on panel data is used to examine the incremental information content of earnings and cash flow from operations. Results - The results show that both earnings and cash flow from operations have incremental information content beyond each other. These results are consistent with the findings of recent studies. Overall, the fidings of this study support the usefulness of cash flw information in addition to earnings, in fim valuation by investors in the Iranian market. Conclusions - The study makes the following contributions to the Iranian literature on incremental information content of cash flw and earnings. First, this study employs actual cash flw data derived from cash flw statements. Second, this study employs a large sample size for a more recent period.

The Effects of the Co-innovation with Suppliers through IT on the Product and Process Innovations in Manufacturing Firms (정보 기술을 이용한 공급 기업과의 공동 혁신이 제조기업 제품 및 과정 혁신에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose This study empirically investigated the impact of information technology(IT) capability on the co-innovation with suppliers and the effects of the co-innovation with suppliers on the product and process innovations in manufacturing firms. We demonstrated that IT promotes innovations trough the sharing of knowledge with suppliers. Design/methodology/approach The empirical data were collected through post-survey. 97 valid survey data were finally collected. With a multiple-regression analysis, we confirmed the influence relationships among critical variables. Findings In the empirical results, it was found that IT integration positively and significantly influences the amount of inter-organizational information exchange with suppliers. The results showed that the inter-organizational information flow with suppliers has a positive and significant impact on the inter-organizational learning with suppliers. It was also observed that the inter-organizational learning with suppliers facilitates and promotes the co-innovation with suppliers. From these results, it is concluded that the co-innovation with suppliers is activated through the knowledge transfer or sharing caused by an inter-organizational information flow or learning. Finally, the positive effects of the co-innovation with suppliers on the product and process innovations were empirically confirmed. Thus, it is suggested that IT capability influences innovations through the co-innovation with suppliers caused by an inter-organizational information flow.

  • With the rapid development of science and technology, several high-performance networks have emerged with various new applications. Consequently, financially or socially motivated attacks on specific networks have also steadily become more complicated and sophisticated. To reduce the damage caused by such attacks, administration of network traffic flow in real-time and precise analysis of past attack traffic have become imperative. Although various traffic analysis methods have been studied recently, they continue to suffer from performance limitations and are generally too complicated to apply in existing systems. To address this problem, we propose a method to calculate the correlation between the malicious and normal flows and classify attack traffics based on the corresponding correlation values. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we conducted several experiments using examples of real malicious traffic and normal traffic. The evaluation was performed with respect to three metrics: recall, precision, and f-measure. The experimental results verified high performance of the proposed method with respect to first two metrics.

Development of Dynamic Traffic Information System based on GPS Technology (GPS 기술기반의 동적 도로소통정보시스템 개발)

  • There are many problems and limits in equipments being used for traffic-volume analysis in the country. And traffic-volume information acquired through existing equipments is not provided in real-time. In the case of urban, there are limits on guarantee of trust on comprehending a appropriate road-volume because of difficulty on analyzing traffic-volume density and time series. And it is difficult to applicate in deciding a road policy as existing equipments don't provide the control information of traffic-flow. Therefore, it is necessary to build a road-flow policy rapidly and accurately through the road-flow information that analyze post-processed statistics data using traffic-flow investigation based on real time. In this study, we developed TICS(Traffic Information Collection System) based on GPS which could transmit traffic information transformed from car location information to traffic control center. And we developed TCS(Traffic Control System) based on Web GIS, which could manage and analyze transmitted traffic information, and it could offer handled road-flow information to Web-site in realtime.
